A disappointing season players. We have 2 NMRs - Italy and Turkey fail to arrive on scene. However, the game rolls on and we have several units dislodged. The Turkish army is wiped off the map with no retreats and so Turkey will be short a unit this Fall. An interesting bounce in Trl keeps Ven safe from Austria, for now.
I know that Britannia ruled the waves but 4-on-1? That's a lot of respect. Meanwhile, France slips quietly into Lon - was he invited? England is in danger of becoming our first elimination.
Retreats due by Monday, 4/23 by 5pm ET, as always FINAL retreats/builds are appreciated but I don't move forward unless everyone so notes.
Austrian Army Rum can retreat to Gal or OTB
English Fleet Nth can retreat to Hel, Eng, or OTB

Can someone help please. I'm in the wrong country on a borrowed computer with who knows what software that can't open anything Jerome is sending me. We've tried a screen shot but zipping means I end up with a stamp sized map that I cant read.
Can someone please open up their copy of the map, do a screen shot, crop it if they like so it is just "my" zone, save it as a jpg and send it to me?
I can then send in moves.
Thanks,
MM

Hi everyone,

Hey all, at another site I play on, redscape.com, we have an ongoing tournament that is more like the English Premier Soccer League than anything else. It's not as time-intense as Winter Blitz, but basically we have two divisions and you can play your way into the upper division. DC 420: Autumn and Winter 1902 Adjudications - AceRimmer (Apr 20, 2012, 1:56 pm) |
The German army in Munich retreats to Berlin.
And then God spoke to Noah and said, "Build me an ark." For those of you interested in the details, Bill Cosby explained it many years ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATGrbTN63H4&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PLA9355FCA6493FB8A
[Note: the routine has two more parts: "Noah and the Neighbor" and "Noah: You and Me Lord"]
So, ignoring the cubits and the glares of your neighbors, you have built an awful lot of fleets (except you, Nick, you seem to have not received the memo), which is a good thing, because winners build fleets and dominate the seas.

Despite the Tsar's appeasing gesture last Winter, waiving one of his builds,
it seems that act of appeasement was not enough to save him from a bad case
of ELS (Early Leader Syndrome). England and Germany teamed up to eject
Russian units from the Scandinavian capitals, while further south Italy
helped Austria to reclaim his capital from the Russian interloper. The net
damage to Russia is only one unit gone, leaving him in a tie for the lead.
The bigger question is whether this signals a true coalition against The
Bear, or just a minor "market correction."
In other news:
Holland still unclaimed! Dutch protesters flood the streets, demanding that
warring neighbors "Show Holland the love! Invade now!"
A French army slips quietly into Belgium as the English fleet leaves port to
spend the winter on the North Sea. Which commander do you think is going to
be toasted more sincerely by his men this Christmas?
French army Gascony thumbs down a passing fleet and hitches a ride to North
Africa. Local camel jockeys insist newcomers camp downwind.
Turkish forces quietly push forward through the Balkans. Observers report a
complete lack of local resistance.
Italy and Turkey bounce in Eastern Med. Both sides claim defensive
considerations.
RETREATS:
Russian A Norway can retreat to Finland or St Petersburg or OTB.
Russian F Sweden can retreat to Finland or Gulf of Bothnia or Skagerrak or
OTB.
Russian A Vienna can retreat to Bohemia or OTB.
ADJUSTMENTS:
Russia must lose one.
Austria and England are even.
Everyone else gets to build one.
See tables below for full details of SC ownership and adjustments.
NEXT DEADLINE: Retreats and Adjustments are due tomorrow, April 20, by
18:00 Eastern time. As was described last week, adjustment orders may be
made conditional on the Russian retreats.
Cheers,

DC421 - Fall 1902 Results - Corrino (Apr 19, 2012, 6:43 pm) |
Hi Players,
PRESS
Once again, we have PRESS: Germany fights for survival, how much longer can she hold out?
GM's take: Well, seeing as how she is only one SC off the lead, that's a strangely pessimistic question, don't you think?
Your take: I don't know. Send me some press and -- assuming it isn't in terribly bad taste -- I'll publish it.
WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Our lead story this season: Central Countries (and England) Stop Squabbling Long Enough to Slap Back Surging Russians
Despite the Tsar's appeasing gesture last Winter, waiving one of his builds, it seems that act of appeasement was not enough
to save him from a bad case of ELS (Early Leader Syndrome). England and Germany teamed up to eject Russian units from the Scandinavian capitals, while further south Italy helped Austria to reclaim his capital from the Russian interloper. The net damage to Russia is only one unit gone, leaving him in a tie for the lead. The bigger question is whether this signals a true coalition against The Bear, or just a minor "market correction."

dc419 fall 1902 results! - coryfucius (Apr 19, 2012, 5:31 pm) |
A number of centers change hands this turn, on all fronts. England and Germany each pick off one French home center. Germany takes over Sweden, but Russia compensates by grabbing Budapest. Austria and Turkey each fail to gain ground on the other, as Austria's army in Greece receives an Italian support. There is one autumn retreat, but it's trivial, so I'll go ahead and order it: The Austrian army in Budapest retreats to Vienna. Winter 1902 adjustments, due tomorrow 4/20 at 3pm Central (US) / 20:00 GMT, will be as follows: Austria: remove 1 England: build 1 France: remove 2 Germany: build 2 Russia: build
