DC 413 Draw proposal - untitled36 (Mar 05, 2012, 10:40 am) |
Hey all,
There was also a draw proposal for a France-Italy-Austria draw. Votes are due with the fall moves. The draw vote technically takes place before the results, so all current players (so all seven of you) would need to vote yes, even if one or more of them will be eliminated in the fall. No response is counted as a "no" vote. Currently, as I understand the blitz, here would be the point spread:
France: 12.9 Points
Italy: 12.7 Points
Austria: 12:7 Points
Germany: 4.4 Points
Turkey: 4.3 Points
England: 4.2 Points
Russia: 4.1 Points
For those facing elimination, your points would drop down to 2 points if you are eliminated. The result will be a simple pass or fail. I won't list what each person voted, or even that the vote was 4-3 or whatever. I have GMed games where the only "no" vote was because someone forgot to send in a vote, but I still declared it a fail. So please remember to get those votes in!

Hi all,You'd think that as the game progressed and the number of players was whittled down, that order processing would go smoother. I have come to believe the exact opposite. There is an inverse relationship between the length of the game and the troubles of the players. I will need to do more research on this though.
Finally, all builds are in! But I got held up last night and was too exhausted to run the turn when I got home. We'll push the deadline again. I really hoped to be back on a regular schedule -- maybe that's too much to hope for with a map the size of Haven.
Anyway, it's a gorgeous day outside, so no more griping, complaining, whining!

Huh. Mine showed up riding a unicorn and weilding a fairy wand. We named it "Knight Lite".

By testing the auto-disband rules. Those mean that he has to disband:
F BAL (furthest from a center)F MAO (all others in a center or equidistant from one so F's before A's)
Additionally we have:
Italy disbands A NapGermany builds A Mun, A Ber, F KieRussia builds A Mos
We roll to Monday and Spring 1907 at 4p CST. I WILL be able to be on time or shortly thereafter with this turn so get those orders in! Sorry for the delayed Winter. Flight difficulties (and never actually made it home tonight...sigh).

We Bid Farewell to England...Good Luck in Rd 2Are We in a Race for Elimination Between Italy and France? What Happens Now in the Three-Way Alliance of G/R/A?We Will Definitely Find Out...But First Winter!
All,Sorry for the later than normal results. We had a new product launch today and I was visiting our call centers launching it. I just got to the room and started slaving away on your results.
First - we DID HAVE RETREATS. In the interest of time, I went ahead and auto-retreated the units but they could change.
French A Mar retreated to Spa (the only other option was OTB - off the board)French F Swe retreated to BAL (the only other options were SKA or OTB)
IF France wants to change these he can do so with Winter adjustments since he will have to remove 2 units anyway. Because of the short nature of turns in WB, you will not have the option of seeing what he does with these units before determining your builds (you cannot make your build conditional on his disbands). Sorry...nature of a fast-paced tournament.
Which brings us to Winter:
Austria +1France -2Germany +3Italy -1Russia +1
Let's have those by 6p CST tomorrow. I will be traveling so it will be later in the eve when I get those out. Also I probably won't confirm orders from about 4p CST to 6p CST due to flying.

Another fine move. Thank you all for getting orders in. Nwg has fallen to the new Russian fleet but England gains a new unit Bel final falls to the English/French attack. Nth is open - who will take advantage? Austria holds onto Rum and also gains a new unit. Turkey refuses to lose a territory and merely holds onto Sev in exchange. Meanwhile, the Italian navy meet up. Retreat is due Monday 3/05 5pm ET and Builds/Removes are due Tuesday 3/06 ET. You may send in conditional builds/removes if you so choose for a Monday posting. As usual, please check for errors on my part.

Actually, in the US, Winter is about to end.
But in Haven, it seems as if late Winter storms have caused some messages to be received so damaged as to need clarification.
As soon as I hear back from the affected parties, I will release the moves. (might not have a map until later tonight)
If I don't hear back from the affected parties by 3 PM (3 hours from now), I will process what I have.

Are We in a Race for Elimination Between Italy and France?
What Happens Now in the Three-Way Alliance of G/R/A?
We Will Definitely Find Out...But First Winter!
All,
Sorry for the later than normal results. We had a new product launch today and I was visiting our call centers launching it. I just got to the room and started slaving away on your results.
First - we DID HAVE RETREATS. In the interest of time, I went ahead and auto-retreated the units but they could change.
French A Mar retreated to Spa (the only other option was OTB - off the board)
French F Swe retreated to BAL (the only other options were SKA or OTB)
IF France wants to change these he can do so with Winter adjustments since he will have to remove 2 units anyway. Because of the short nature of turns in WB, you will not have the option of seeing what he does with these units before determining your builds (you cannot make your build conditional on his disbands). Sorry...nature of a fast-paced tournament.
Which brings us to Winter:
Austria +1
France -2
Germany +3
Italy -1
Russia +1
Let's have those by 6p CST tomorrow. I will be traveling so it will be later in the eve when I get those out. Also I probably won't confirm orders from about 4p CST to 6p CST due to flying.

DC412 - Fall 1906 Results - Corrino (Mar 01, 2012, 8:12 pm) |
Episode 12: Straightening the Lines, or Are We Starting to Get Stale, Mate?
You know, I've been waiting all game to use my "Mick, The Knife" pun. He keeps teasing and teasing, but so far every seeming thrust turns out to be a feint. When I entered the Kaiser's orders in first and saw him destroying the English army in Brest, my heart started to flutter, but then I saw him passively hand Moscow over to England, and I knew I had once again fallen prey to wishful thinking.
Let's face it, boys. GM's are a bloodthirsty lot. Stab, fight, kill! Save your stalwart
loyalty for when I'm IN the game, not when I'm merely observing.
And yet... before we finish speaking of teases... Did anyone else notice there is now a German fleet in the North Sea?)
Other More-Medium-Than-Highlights:
. RUSSIA LIVES! Thanks to our aforementioned Kaiser, the Tsar finds refuge in Vienna for at least one more year.
. England regains control of the Mid-Atlantic, but not without a gamble. Will the Italian fleet soon be cruising off the coast of Liverpool, or will Gang Green decide to disband and regroup back home?
RETREATS:
Italian F Mid-Atlantic Ocean can retreat to Irish Sea.
German A
Moscow can retreat to Warsaw.
Since each retreating unit has only one space available for retreat, I have auto-retreated the units as shown on your map. HOWEVER... Germany and Italy both have the option of retreating their units off the board, and if they choose to do that, it will affect the builds in the Winter turn.
ANYONE who is submitting adjustments may choose to submit adjustment orders that are conditional on either or both of the unconfirmed retreats.
ADJUSTMENTS:
Our SC are all set, but our adjustments are conditional on the retreats.
England - Plus 1
Germany - Plus 1, but could be Plus 2
if he retreats A Moscow off the board.Italy - Even, but could be Plus 1 if he retreats F MAO off the board.
Russia and Turkey are unchanged. Russia did lose an SC, but since the unit was destroyed, no adjustments are needed.
NEXT DEADLINE: Autumn 1906 retreats and Winter 1906 adjustments are due tomorrow, March 2, by 18:00 Eastern time.
Cheers,Chris

Dc 402: Winter 1907 Adjudication - AlanRFarrington (Mar 01, 2012, 6:25 pm) |
Now lets see if I got this correct. There was a lot of banter to weed through in order to find everything. There was a FGIT, a DIAS, and a French solo all unofficially proposed since the last turn. All of which have been voted down publicly I believe. If anyone would like to push another proposal, or would like to officially put out a new proposal please let me know.
Next Deadline:
Spring 1908 is due Tuesday, March 6th at Midnight GMT (7:00PM EST).

dc408 fall 1906 results! - coryfucius (Mar 01, 2012, 5:12 pm) |
England pushes Germany out of Belgium, as the German attempt to move that army into Britain fails for lack of a convoy. England also picks up control of Sweden. Russia regains control of Warsaw, but loses Sevastopol to the Turks. Italy finally gains MAO, while Turkey sails into the vacated North Africa. Italy sends both of his armies northward, one with Turkish support. There is only one autumn retreat, the German army in Belgium. Since it only has one valid on-board option, I'll go ahead and order it to Ruhr. Winter 1906 adjustments will be as follows: England: build 1 Germany: remove 2 Turkey: build 1 The winter orders will be due
tomorrow, Friday 3/2 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT. Thanks! Cory ----- England:
