Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delay in getting Russia's retreat to you. The retreat for Summer 1911 is: F Constantinople - Smyrna To remind you all, I'm not around for a week and a bit after this weekend. Therefore, we'll need to change the deadline structure slightly to allow the minimum disruption to our game. I'm proposing the following structure (all at 2100GMT as usual): Autumn 11 Fri 24 FebAutumn retreats and Winter 11 Sat 25 FebSpring 12 Thu 8 Mar(if necessary, Summer 12 retreats Fri 9 Mar)Autumn 12 Mon 19 Mar ...and then back to normal. If anyone will find it too difficult to hit this structure then please let me know, and I'll think again. Jerome[Reply] |

Current fellow residents of the Haven,
I'm sure at least some of you chose to play the Haven variant because you're fans of the fantasy genre, and therefore I'm sure many of you are fans of George R.R. Martin's series A Song of Ice and Fire and/or the corresponding HBO TV series, Game of Thrones. Well, I've created a Game of Thrones variant that is now recruiting on DC! Check out the map and variant rules on the DipWiki: http://dipwiki.com/index.php?title=Game_of_Thrones and then come sign up and lead one of the Great Houses of Westeros to victory!

Hi gang,
France has decided that he cannot continue the game due to real life things that are consuming his time. They are perfectly acceptable reasons. Given the current situation, and the current strength of the French position, I really have no choice but to seek a replacement. I will get that out on the DC website right this minute, and it shouldn't take long. Sorry about the delay.
There will be a brief period of diplomacy before the fall 1905 turn is adjudicated. Anyone may continue to submit new orders until further notice.

Hi gang,
France has decided that he cannot continue the game due to real life things that are consuming his time.

Hi group,
We have a new France. Welcome to Tim Crosby, who can be reached at:
tim_crosby(at)hotmail.com
I'm pasting below, all the player lists etc. that Dipcorp sends me when I ask for a player list. Note that Logan is still on the lists although he is no longer playing...... and note that although he is listed as abandoned on the DC site, he informed me of his choice to leave because real life was taking over. So good on him for doing it the right way
New deadline for Fall 1905 will be in just under a week, next Wednesday, February 22, 16:00 MST. That's 23:00 GMT. Most of you have orders in already, and they will be used in the event that you don't wish to change them.

DC412 - Spring 1905 Results - Corrino (Feb 20, 2012, 8:52 pm) |
Hi Players,
A little late tonight, as we relax our schedule just a bit for the school holiday week here in Massachusetts. Please be warned that Thursday and Friday might be a little later, as well. I'll be attending Total Confusion, a game con not far from here. No Diplomacy at this one, but they'll have just about everything else under the sun.
Unfortunately, even with the extra time we still had our first real NMR. Our British King has gone missing, it seems. Perhaps he has over-celebrated for Presidents' Day?
Episode 10: A Royal Holiday
The English pay the price for their lack of leadership, with F MAO
dislodged, and an Italian army marching into Brest unopposed.Meanwhile, it is not all wine and roses for Italy. This time the Sultan really does move to Ionian Sea, and slips into Trieste, too, for good measure.Unlike his English cousin, the Kaiser does submit orders. Unfortunately, they don't all make sense, as Munich attempts to fly over Bohemia into Galicia. The Tsar seeks to help the Kaiser out of Warsaw, only to find his offer rejected. He does, however, keep his (erstwhile?) ally the Sultan from reinforcing Rumania. Moscow may remain Russian thanks to the sufferance of others, but Russian Austria still has something to say.
RETREATS: English F Mid-Atlantic Ocean may retreat to Gascony, Irish Sea, North Atlantic Ocean, or OTB.
NEXT DEADLINE: The English retreat is due tomorrow, Tuesday, February 21, by 18:00 Eastern time. If I get it earlier, I'll publish it earlier.
NEXT MAJOR DEADLINE: Fall 1905 orders are due Thursday, February 20, by 18:00 Eastern time.
Cheers,Chris

I could not find orders for Austria... Plenty of action along Russia's front, as England sails into Norway, Germany marches into the vacated Warsaw, Russia gains Vienna, and Turkey beats Italy into Trieste. The lone French fleet, attacked by both England and Italy, manages to hang on to MAO. There is only one retreat, but since there is only one valid on-board destination, I'll go ahead and order the dislodged Austrian army to retreat from Vienna to Tyrolia. Mike, if for some reason you want to retreat OTB instead, please let me know. Fall 1905 orders will be due Thursday 2/23 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.
