Just my error. I input several incorrectly. Apparently I'm pretty scattered today...
I can't comment on what was what set of course, tho nothing got submitted after the deadline.

DC 373: F1906 Adjudication - AceRimmer (Jun 09, 2011, 11:28 am) |
There is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer???s day than a nice refreshing adjudication. Served up, perhaps, over a bed of romaine lettuce with a fine garlicky, creamy parmesan sauce? Anchovies optional.
2-3 garlic cloves
1/2 c. oil
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 egg
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Croutons
Blend garlic and oil in blender. Add remaining ingredients, blend well. Pour over lettuce and add croutons just prior to serving.
France is bringing the mustard! England has the Worcestershire sauce. Germany provides olive oil to smooth the works. The sour, sharp sting of lemon juice belongs to Italy. The crunch of croutons comes from Russia. And Austria gets stuck with the egg.
Recipes aside??? there are Frenchmen in Belgium. And not just of the tourist variety. They arrive at the head of a train of salad-eating French armies stretching all the way from Spain.
England continues to not know what to do with his fleets.
And rather predictably, the Swedish regiment of the English army lands in Livonia while the French navy steams inexorably into Tyrrhenian Sea, where the defense seems oddly confused.
There is one auto-retreat: Italian F Tyrrhenian Sea ??? Rome
This sets up???
An end of game proposal. The proposal is: French solo.
Please vote on this proposal with your *Spring* orders (or vote sooner, but I???ll count votes in the Spring). If every player submits a ???Yes??? vote, then the game ends and Spring never happens. If a single player votes ???No??? or fails to vote, then I will adjudicate Spring as usual.
Meanwhile, we have adjustments from England, France, Italy, and Russia. They are due tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. CST.

Hey guys,
I just was set to adjudicate, but I just found a note from one of our players saying he would be away until tomorrow or Friday. As I didn't open his mail until now I'm going to wait until I get his orders.

DC374 Russian Where'd-You-Goes - FuzzyLogic (Jun 08, 2011, 10:56 am) |
Hey guys,
Health issues unfortunately do come up and I for one am incredibly happy that Jerimiah is ok. He's a wonderful contributor to our community, and I'm sure this NMR does not reflect badly upon him. We have to remember it's just a game, and we can't really pick and choose when to enforce an NMR or when to allow a back-up. If you all really want to be nice and enact some sort of measure to restore Jerimiah's position, nothing says you have to capitalize on the unfortunate disband - that's up to you. But the results stand, game will go on.
Remember orders to me this turn please...

Can you appeal to Sims to at least allow you to retreat? I don't
think it being 'out of turn' affects the integrity of the game. If
all remaining vote for it? I vote yes. Anyone else?

though I should have had preliminary orders in.
I woke up recently with a feeling that I couldn't keep my balance,
as I walked up the stairs my shoulder kept bumping into the wall on
the right, and I missed the chair when I tried to sit down. My wife
called our doctor, and she suggested I go to the ER to check for

Good people,
My apologies. I rarely miss deadlines, and I feel terrible about it. I don't like what it does to my position, and I don't like what it does to the game's balance. I wasn't able to make these deadlines, though I should have had preliminary orders in.
I woke up recently with a feeling that I couldn't keep my balance, as I walked up the stairs my shoulder kept bumping into the wall on the right, and I missed the chair when I tried to sit down. My wife called our doctor, and she suggested I go to the ER to check for signs of a possible stroke.
The doctor checked me out, and wasn't sure what the cause was. Since I was still out of balance and had a slowed thinking process, I had to stay where I was, and was out of email contact for (a week? days? not really sure).
I'm back on email now, and feeling better. We're still not sure what caused it, but I'm healthy and young (and invincible!, right? right?), so we're moving on.

dc371: Sp08 Results! - dknemeyer (Jun 07, 2011, 8:35 pm) |
Diplomats,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the Carthaginian leadership has apparently abdicated and the country is plunged into civil disorder.
We have a draw proposal to consider: a 3-way Egypt/Greece/Rome. Please submit a YES or NO vote with your fall orders. Failure to vote will be interpreted as a No.
The board gently shifts and you sense the participants are starting to think about the endgame. There is only one retreat: the Egyptian fleet Messenian Sea can retreat to Ausonian Sea or Libyan Sea or OTB. I've auto-retreated to the Libyan Sea. Charles, please correct or confirm this no later than Thursday at our deadline.
On to the fall! Prelims due Friday!
Happy dipping,
Dirk
