Date: Fri, 11 Mar 2011 00:09:10 -0500
Ciao Italy
Three for the Finish
New EGP on the Table
A Chink in the French/English Alliance?
Guys,
Pretty straight-forward turn with some interesting twists (i.e. England taking Holland). We bid farewell to our NMR'd friend Benjy and we are down to three. We actually had two retreats which only each had one option:
A Holland retreats to Ruhr
A Moscow retreats to Livonia
If France or England wish, these can also go OTB and would allow each country to add one to their build adjustments below. Winter adjustments are:
Italy remove 1 - uh. yeah. no order necessary
England build 2
Turkey no change
France no change
We also have an EGP!!!! The EGP is for a 3-way draw (EFT). Vote on this with your Spring10 orders.
Winter tomorrow at 6pm, Spring Monday at 6pm CDT (note the change to Daylight Savings Time...)

Once again, the 4-way draw fails, so we continue...
Italy finally makes headway against the German frontlines in France. The only other units that actually go anywhere are an Austrian army to Galicia and a German army to Belgium.
There is one unit dislodged, so technically, we will have a summer retreat phase:
The German army in Gascony may retreat to Paris or OTB.
Ray, in the interests of keeping the game moving, I'll go ahead and order that retreat to Paris. If for some reason, you instead want to retreat OTB, please let me know within 24 hours.
Fall 1910 orders will be due Thursday 3/17 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT. [If that GMT adjustment is incorrect, please let me know, we just switched to Daylight Saving Time in the US yesterday.] Along with your orders, please cast your vote once again on a 4-way AGIT draw.

*Italian Forces Enter Trieste*
*England Army Vacations in Berlin*
*Stalemate Continues in Ionean*
Hey all,
Quite a dramatic turn! Turkey simple has too many borders to defend, and the past few seasons have been a bit of a guessing game. Until this season, he managed to generally guess right. But now Italian forces swarm into Trieste while the French claim Galacia. And England finally reenters Moscow. England also lands in Berlin, which may prove interesting as well.
With these setbacks for the Turks, two retreats were needed, but I took the initiative and retreated them to their only open province (Gal-rum and Tri-ser). Obviously, they can retreat OTB if desired.
A EF draw is also proposed. Votes due with Fall orders on Thursday at 8:00 AM CST (1:00 PM GMT). If Turkey wishes to retreat either or both armies off the board, the deadline to let me know is tomorrow at 8:00 AM CST.

Jason, if you'd rather disband then let me know by Tuesday at 05:00GMT.
Finally, we have two proposals.
1. Turn length: it is proposed that major season deadlines are shortened as we enter the later part of the game. We'll do one day for minor seasons and three days for major seasons. We need unanimous agreement to do this, but I'm going to count any missing votes as Ayes.
2. End-of-game: it is proposed that the game end in a Russian solo. Everyone else will receive survivals. This requires unanimous agreement in order to pass, but in this case missing orders will count as Nays.
Fall 1906 and votes are due on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at 05:00GMT.

DC356 End of Game - cbconnell (Mar 12, 2011, 9:10 pm) |
Welcome to the Game Grid...
I officially received YES votes from everyone which means we have peace in 1906. Congrats to Jeremy, Eric, Reuben and Mike for the draw.
Everyone please remember, take the time and submit an end of game statement. For those unfamiliar with these, this is where all the players analyze or describe the game from their perspective, covering (in as much detail as they wish) their thinking during the game, the moves they made etc. Post these to the??dc356(at)diplomaticcorp.com email address and copy them to all players.
Our official ending position are as follows:
Unit locations:
England: F Barents Sea, F Gulf of Lyon, F Gulf of Bothnia, A Marseilles, F Mid-Atlantic Ocean, F North Africa, F St Petersburg(nc), F Western??Mediterranean.
Germany: F Baltic Sea, A Belgium, F Berlin, A Kiel, A Munich, A Ruhr, A Tuscany.
Italy: F Naples, F Tyrrhenian Sea.
Russia: A Bohemia, A Galicia, A Livonia, A Moscow, A Piedmont, F Prussia, F??Rumania, A Tyrolia, A Warsaw.
Turkey: A Apulia, F Ionian Sea, A Rome, A Smyrna, F Tunis, F Venice.
Ownership of supply centers:

Germany: Belgium, Berlin, Denmark, Holland, Kiel, Munich, Paris, Sweden. - 8
Italy: Naples. - 1
Russia: Budapest, Bulgaria, Moscow, Rumania, Sevastopol, Trieste, Vienna, Warsaw. - 8

The deadline for that is Sunday at 6pm CDT (remember that we spring forward in the US on Sunday).

DC 347, Fall delayed - alwayshunted (Mar 11, 2011, 8:09 pm) |
Hi Group,
Well, the deadline has come and gone, and once again I have heard nothing from our Russian. I hope everything is alright with Paul.
Soooo, after a couple of hours of deliberation (seriously, not an easy decision to make), I have decided, once again, to put the game on hold and seek a replacement. In the interest of keeping this interesting game (for me anyway) interesting, the delay takes effect PRIOR to the fall 1905 adjudication. I'll run the turn with replacement orders. Of course any orders I have received to this point are still good.
Hang in there, it is frustrating for me as well. Shouldn't take long.
