Let's set spring 11 to be due next Monday at 3:00 PM US Eastern time. But if everyone submits moves marked final before then I will send out results early. Also let me know any players would like to propose a draw of some kind and the surviving players can vote on it. No reason to feel the need to though.

Germany First To Go? Russia Will Give Him A Run For His Money
Turkey Switches Alliances Again...Will It Cost Him In The Long Run?
All,
Quite an interesting game. Sadly we have another NMR from Russia but I don't think it matters much. We need two retreats:
German A Mun can retreat to Silesia or OTB
Austrian A StP can retreat to Finland, Livonia or OTB
Need those by 6pm tomorrow.
For the record, the "invalid" Austrian order below is the one that was a misorder.

A Spanish build! No, seriously.
Armies dominate with one lone Fleet build
Two fleets get scuttled
Apologies for the delay. Work has had me too darn busy and I just could never get free to get this done.
Burgundy builds an army in Gda, Byzantium builds an army in Yal, Hungary builds an army in Aus, and Spain, YES SPAIN, builds an army in Tol. Israel builds a fleet in Cyr.
Sicily scuttles the Palermo and Algerian fleets.
We move to Spring 1908 next Monday at 6pm CST. That is Valentine's Day - get the orders in quick. Note: I will put out Spring 1908 but we will have to wait until Monday the 21st for our retreat results (most likely) since I will be out of the country. If we have no retreats we will move to Fall 1908 for Monday the 21st. I will probably NOT be confirming orders while I am away.

Here we go!
First deadline: Next Tuesday 2/15, 3pm Central. That's 1 week from today. 3pm Central is 2100 GMT.
House rules: http://www.sims-family.net/dip/houserules.htm
These cover a few things not covered in the game book, or adapted for our email medium. Should probly glance over them, tho there's nothing ground-breaking in there.
Prelims - send in every turn! As soon as you have an idea of what you want to order, send those orders in. You can change them as much or as little as you want throughout the turn, so always always be sure to turn something in early. I have changed my own moves sometimes 6-7 times in one turn!
Intros are always fun too. Just to know who we're up against... I'm a techy type, do computer support for a living... I do a lot of work on the diplomaticcorp site, and build some pretty major LEGO structures...

dc358 spring 1905 results! - coryfucius (Feb 08, 2011, 9:11 am) |
I know these are late, but I was sick yesterday. My apologies for the delay.
Austria and Turkey trade centers, while their bounce in Ukraine prevents Germany from marching into Moscow. Germany gets the upper hand on the Italian forces in France, marching into Brest and Marseilles. Italy does take the chip shot, sailing into Portugal.
Three units are dislodged, but only one survives:
The French army in Portugal has no valid retreats and is destroyed.
The Italian army in Brest may retreat to Picardy or OTB.
The Turkish army in Budapest has no valid retreats and is destroyed.
To keep the game moving, I'll go ahead and order that retreat, so we can skip the summer retreat phase. Fletcher, if you wish to retreat OTB instead, please let me know today.
Fall 1905 orders will be due Thursday, February 10 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT. Thanks!

The rules will be standard house rules (http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/info.php?type=houserules )
I live in South Africa, so will need to adjudicate on Wednesday mornings when I get to work (5:30 ish GMT). This gives a natural period of grace for getting orders in a little late, so there should be no excuses for NMRs! I will try to
send reminders the day before, but real life may prevent that.
Use DC and game number when assigned in the subject line as I am playing a number of games and running a tournament on the Stabbeurfou site, so may get confussed!
To all, good luck!

DC 345: Premature Adjudication - Viper (Feb 07, 2011, 10:42 pm) |
Psh... I doubt a redo would really help me much... I'm desperate for allies, but a delay probably won't help that. I merely ask that the world remember the humble Hembrians as the ones who sacrificed themselves to rid the world of the Were-Hamsters and pay us due respect with an international holiday.

Ha, I almost said that, Alex.... But nah, I'm glad I signed up. Everything from that point on was a big mistake, but signing up was a good move.
