The rules will be standard house rules (http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/info.php?type=houserules )

I live in South Africa, so will need to adjudicate on Wednesday mornings when I get to work (5:30 ish GMT). This gives a natural period of grace for getting orders in a little late, so there should be no excuses for NMRs! I will try to
send reminders the day before, but real life may prevent that.

Use DC and game number when assigned in the subject line as I am playing a number of games and running a tournament on the Stabbeurfou site, so may get confussed!

To all, good luck!

There us brilliant coordination actually. E/F/R have been openly
trying to kill G for some time regardless of other events, so G
decided that he is not prepared to die for them in order to fight A/I.
It's my first PBEM game, so maybe I'm missing something... am I
expected to be fighting the leader even if the other smaller nation
are trying to kill me? Smile

Yeah so we are clear - E/F/R aren't coordinating anything of the sort. Yes, I think you are missing something - you email back when you are the guy getting pounded. Further, you email begging and pleading for help; you clamor about the evil two-headed giant to the south, you whine about being attacked, you threaten to throw centers away to the encroaching two-way. You did none of that. Heck you never even managed to try to defend your own centers from them but did still try to take English centers?

Russia tried to coordinate a 4-way defense. I responded to Russia (without copying the rest) that I would only do so when I saw that either of you responded (he can confirm this). I have even tried to break up Austria and Italy although they clearly are having none of it (I guess nobody wants to solo...sigh).

So I stand by my request - let's vote to end this and save us time and them effort.

Chill dude, I didn't know I was supposed to whine, and you're doing
enough for both of us.
If you didn't want to lose you should have done something. I'm nor
going to beg and agrue with the three of you if you can't see the map.
You'll lose this one and next game you'll know better. To keep
attacking me was plain stupid, it left me with the only choice to
kamikaze in order to increase my importance.
I didn't expect this to lead to the game ending, I'm used to playing
until the end at the site I usually play Diplomacy at, so I was
expecting messages from E/F finally offering peace, instead I get a
petulent public rant...
Guess you think you're the center of the universe and everyone owes
you some special attention...

you are the guy getting pounded. Further, you email begging and
pleading for help; you clamor about the evil two-headed giant to the
south, you whine about being attacked, you threaten to throw centers
away to the encroaching two-way. You did none of that. Heck you
never even managed to try to defend your own centers from them but
did still try to take English centers?

Russia tried to coordinate a 4-way defense. I responded to Russia
(without copying the rest) that I would only do so when I saw that
either of you responded (he can confirm this). I have even tried to
break up Austria and Italy although they clearly are having none of
it (I guess nobody wants to solo...sigh).

So I stand by my request - let's vote to end this and save us time
and them effort.

There us brilliant coordination actually. E/F/R have been openly
trying to kill G for some time regardless of other events, so G
decided that he is not prepared to die for them in order to fight
A/I.

It's my first PBEM game, so maybe I'm missing something... am I
expected to be fighting the leader even if the other smaller nation
are trying to kill me? Smile

DC 363 WB11 - Fall 1904 Results - Corrino   (Feb 03, 2011, 6:45 pm)
Greetings Players,

Another fine Fall season here in the 363.  The leaves are fallen, but despite the dire odds, all of our players are still standing on (at least) two legs.  Old alliances hold for one more year in the east, while interesting new ones seem to have popped up in the west.  The only constant seems to be that our poor Kaiser still can't buy a friend... yet.  I wouldn't be surprised if things change soon, what with three of our biggest powers converging on him from all sides.

RETREATS:  Just one, and it's an automatic.  German army Munich retreats to Berlin.  The Kaiser may, if he wishes, disband the army and then build it again in the Winter.  I've known silly people like that.

ADJUSTMENTS:  England needs to
remove 1 unit.  Italy may add 1 unit.  Everybody else is stuck with what they've got (silly Kaiser's excepted).  See the ownership and adjustment summaries after the orders for full details.

NEXT DEADLINE:  Adjustments are due ASAP, please.  England has already warned me he might have trouble getting them in early, which isn't his fault -- I know he'll do his best.  If I don't get them in by about 3:00 EST, I will have to foist the adjudication off on one of the Tournament directors, so be sure to ... anyone? Bueller? ... copy the Blitz Orders mailbox.

Cheers,
Chris

Orders are resolved.  Report any errors to the GM... gently.

dc358 fall 1904 results! - coryfucius   (Feb 03, 2011, 6:30 pm)
Alas, we are missing orders from 3 players this time.  Germany takes advantage of the Russian NMR to capture St. Petersburg.  We bid farewell to the abdicated Tsar Jack, the first player eliminated.  Amazingly, the completely absent England has outlived another player.

Italy marches unopposed into Brest, as Germany maneuvers for position around the French home centers.  Italy and Turkey put a hurt on Austria, as Turkey grabs Budapest and reoccupies Sevastopol, while Austria recovers Rumania.

There is one autumn retreat due for Russia, but since Russia has no centers left, it's trivial.  In the attached game files, I have taken the liberty of ordering that retreat OTB.

Winter 1904 adjustments will be as follows:

  Austria:  remove 1

  Germany:  build 2

  Italy:  build 2

  Russia:  eliminated

The winter 1904 adjustment orders are due tomorrow, February 4 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.

The F in WBS supported Rum-Ode, NOT Bul-Rum. Effect is that Odessa is dislodged AND disbanded. No retreat needed.

However it very likely makes a difference in some relationships. Just maybe. Won't update the map until tomorrow.
