DC 345: S1906 Adjudication - AceRimmer (Jan 20, 2011, 4:52 pm) |
It is a busy season for Hembria. Get dislodged? Check. Get stabbed by an ally? It would appear so; check. Witness the occupation of _three_ centers? Denmark, Paris, and Warsaw? Check, check, check. Dislodge an enemy from Munich? Check. Occupy enemy centers? Munich (and a retreat to Brest?)??? check. It just goes to show that, while you can change their name to Hembria and dress them up in forest green, the Germans are still everybody???s favorite bad guy.
This sets up three retreats (due tomorrow at the whimsical hour of 15:00 CST):
The Hembrian army in Paris may retreat to Brest, Picardy, or faerie dust.
The Itean fleet in North Sea may retreat to Helgoland Bight, Norway, Norwegian Sea, Skagerrak, Yorkshire, or faerie dust.
The Trigsporan army in Munich retreats to Bohemia unless Mr. Hoffman overrides the default with a disband.
But wait! The fun doesn???t end there. There is a proposal! If you play your cards right, there may be chocolates, flowers, and a nice dinner in it, too. The proposal is this:
Three-way draw: Adaria, Trigspor, and Zonotrichia.
Votes will be due next week with the Fall 1906 orders. In order to pass, votes must be received from all players. A single ???No??? vote or abstention will nix the proposal.

DC356 Spring 1902 - updated results - with maps - cbconnell (Jan 20, 2011, 10:42 am) |
Hello everyone.
A challenge was made on the results of this last turn. Turkey moved a fleet from Constantinople to Bulgaria, but had not specified which coast. Since none was specified, the order fails.??I had personally??not??remembered to check for a coast order on that move, and allowed the order stand - this was my fault.
This is a reminder to veterans of the game, new players and game managers (me) to check fleet orders more carefully
I have updated the results of the season, now with Turkey's fleet still located at Constantinople.??

*Russians lose the north, but receive help in the south!*
*Austria under pressure!*
*French Fleets dodge icebergs in the north!*
Hey all,
Wow, what a turn! Lots of positioning for what looks to be a bloody third year. However, in spite of all the action, the only country to get builds is Germany, with two shiny new supply centers. We also have our very first retreat. Russian F Swe can retreat to Fin, Bot, bal, or OTB. If they retreat off the board, russia does gain one build. Germany can make conditional build based on what russia does with F swe if he so desires, since technically the retreat happens before the build (though they are adjucated together).
Autumn/Winter Deadline is Tomorrow (Jan 21) at 8:00 AM CST (2:00 PM GMT). If you aren't Russia or Germany, you can enjoy a peaceful few days plotting the downfall of one another without having to worry about that hassle of turning in builds.

Well I certainly got spanked. Best of luck everyone. Here is a textbook example of how NOT to play Austria.

DC 359 Fall 02 reminder - untitled36 (Jan 19, 2011, 8:04 am) |
You have about 24 hours to deadline. The majority of you have been great about sending prelims, but I still don't have everyone's orders, so make sure you have them in!

DC356 Spring 1902 results - cbconnell (Jan 18, 2011, 11:14 pm) |
Welcome to the Game Grid:
This has been a very interesting week. Not only did we loose Austria and I missed the deadline myself last night, but we had several issues with orders received with interesting subject lines and some rather odd orders (Russia?). Even though I advertised for a new Austria, the majority of the players voted to continue the game without an Austrian player. Time seemed to be the driving factor - people wanted to keep playing and not wait for a replacement.
This round has seen our first attempt by Germany into France, while everyone else seems to be staying inside their own borders or their??surrounding??territories.??
Here are the orders as I received them:
Austria?
F Albania, no move received
A Serbia, no move received
A Vienna, no move received
England?
A Belgium Supports A Munich - Burgundy
F Liverpool - Irish Sea
F London - English Channel
F North Sea Supports F London - English Channel
F Norway Hold
France?

A Ruhr Supports A Munich - Burgundy
Italy?

A Rome - Tuscany
A Trieste Hold
F Tunis - Tyrrhenian Sea
A Venice Supports A Trieste
Russia?
A Galicia - Silesia (*Bounce*)
A Rumania Hold
F Sevastopol Supports A Rumania
A St Petersburg - Norway (*Fails*)
F Sweden Hold
A Warsaw - Silesia (*Bounce*)
Turkey?
A Armenia, no move received
A Bulgaria - Greece
F Constantinople - Bulgaria(ec)
F Smyrna - Aegean Sea
Unit locations:
