1648 091010: Draw Proposal Vote - charlesf (Apr 22, 2010, 8:33 am) |
Hi guys,
A DIAS draw proposal has been submitted to me and
I'm now putting that to a vote. The deadline coincides with our Friday 6 PM CET
deadline.
I might adjucate prior to the deadline should the DIAS fail.
Well, well... Seems like Bayern had some of that Turkish fervour I spoke
of. Though in the case of Ribéry, arguably too much so. :p Poor guy's having a
nightmarish week. Though I can't see the French authorities actually sending him
to prison...

"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing. The shadow, even the darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you - That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding onto something."
"What are we holding onto, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for." |

Alex,
I would like to propose a two-way EP draw to be voted upon with the upcoming Spring orders (due tomorrow). And since the proposer of a draw must needs vote on it: I vote yes.

I've never been so honored to be associated with a group of lying, scheming, maniacal, back-stabbing bastards! Thanks for the knighting Fredrik, maybe now people will respect me enough to lay down and give me my first solo.
Cheers,

Ah yes. About a week ago we got a request for another knighting, and this time I'll do the honors.
Alan also enters the ranks by skipping over Initiate Knight, and immediately becomes a Knight Errant. I've had the pleasure of being in a game with Alan myself, and I'm quite sure that a lot of you have either played a game with him or had him as a GM on the site.
Welcome to the order of Knights, Alan.

Well, I hope Bayern Munich will display more of the élan the Turks have

them simply surrending the midfield to Olympique Lyon in the manner Spain
has relinquished Italy. Okay, totally specious analogy... I'm just looking

Didn't mean to imply any criticism in regards to
the Italian situation in my football analogy. After all, in the beautiful game
you don't have a third team involved. Just wanted to note that since having
reread my remarks, I can see how my comments might be taken as overstepping the
bounds of neutral "flavour talk".
