To be fair... he said I was the one who knows what he really wants... so that wouldn't leave the R/O/P out of the question.
Personally, I'm just happy to still be in this game. What was looking really grim when I thought I had a O/T coming at me has turn into discussions of whether or not to include me in the draw? Fascinating.
Anyway, here's to finding a solution we can all live with.

Hi guys,
thanks for playing. Fredrik, thanks for GMing this game so consistently; always timely with your adjudications.
Fab, Dan, Charlie: enjoyed the scheming.
Fab, really enjoyed your play even though it was annoying that I couldn't get any hold on you.
Dan, you played your diplomatic skills very well to end up with the current SC count; never thought you would be able to pull it off.
Charlie, thanks for your feedback for all those turns and for being such a loyal ally.
Mark, you were the first to stab me and you did it prematurely. Had you waited a bit longer you might have been more successful.
Maria, more luck in WB Rd2. Considering Fab's style of play you never had a chance.
And for me: I like to believe that things did go pretty well until I NMRd at the worst possible moment. Charlie, I have no doubt that had I not NMRd you would have ended up as the winner of this game. My apologies again.
Everyone: good luck in WB Rd2. Fab, since you're not playing Rd2: hope we meet again in another game.
Frank

Hi All,
First, thanks very much to our GM. Fredrik, great job. Thanks for making it happen.
Fab, Charlie, well played. Interesting back and forth and the three-way draw makes sense. It would probably have gone back and forth like this for a while.
Good job hanging in there Frank to pick up some points.
Hope to see you all across the board again sometime,
Dan

Hey everyone,
I am going to be out for the rest of the night and have to get up early tomorrow morning, so I am letting you all know that I won't be able to adjudicate until around 3:00pm EST Saturday(tomorrow) so you will have a little extra time to use as you please. Hi guys,
thx for the game, thx for our GM. Probably the most difficult place in the game. Thx you so much Fred.
It was a really pleasure to meet all of you. I use to play game with more time for negociate. I prefer it. It was very very hard to play every day.
About the game, I had really think I'll disappear soon, and probably without the stab from Mark to Frank, I would have a disappear. Thx you Dan for the start of the game. It was a great game for our alliance. Sorry to do not have play for the 2-way draw.... but I had try the solo. I think it's the main goal !
Frank, it was a great pleasure to meet you. I also stop the game, because I think you have to survive it. Really. And what about my style ???? lol
Charlie, We never talk to much, but you had made a great game. I was really afraid about your solo after my first dtabb on Dan. pfffff !
I would appreciate also to meet you somewhere. Do you know the Diplomacy National World Cup ? The first edition was finished last year. 25 teams from 17 differents countries (From USA to China, with South Africa, Brasil, Argentina, Australia, France, etc..... ), 2 rounds. It was a great tournament with a lot of pleasure. The tournament took place on stabbeurfou.org. and France win the World cup, Italy was second, Argentina 3rd. I had played both game in each round with France team. It was a great experience, and I hope much and much teams will play it !
Enjoy the game.

A big thank you to the GM, and to the players. I have never understood, and never will understand, the tendency to play to the draw when in an obvious lead. Go big or go home is my philosophy, though it's not one that seems to be subscribed to.
My plan for winning was fairly obvious. Western triple to combat the RAI that fell apart when Italy NMR'd a few times, then throw Germany under the bus. The next part, of course was to wage war on France and sweep to victory.
Mistakes were made on my end, what with stabbing too soon and all that. I regret that, and I regret letting France get too strong without weakening Germany and Russia enough but I regret nothing else.

I had played both game in each round with France team. It was a great experience, and I hope much and much teams will play it !
Enjoy the game.

Hi guys,
thanks for playing.

[quote:475bfb4c55] Hi All,
First, thanks very much to our GM. Fredrik, great job. Thanks for making it happen.
Fab, Charlie, well played. Interesting back and forth and the three-way draw makes sense. It would probably have gone back and forth like this for a while.
Good job hanging in there Frank to pick up some points.
Hope to see you all across the board again sometime,
Dan

Blitzers,
Peace in our time! Peace has finally been agreed on by all parties after even I lost count on how many times the draw proposal was on the table.
I'll update the stats on DC in a few minutes so you can all see the final results there!
Thank you all for playing, and I wish you all good luck in the next round of the Winter Blitz, and I hope to see you in other games here at DC.

France (Charles Welsh): 11 Draw participant

DC224 Spring 17: Give and Take - Viper (Mar 26, 2010, 2:54 pm) |
To be fair... he said I was the one who knows what he really wants... so that wouldn't leave the R/O/P out of the question.
Personally, I'm just happy to still be in this game. What was looking really grim when I thought I had a O/T coming at me has turn into discussions of whether or not to include me in the draw? Fascinating.
Anyway, here's to finding a solution we can all live with.

DC224 Spring 17: Give and Take - FuzzyLogic (Mar 26, 2010, 2:48 pm) |
Oh come on Mike, who do you want out? You tell me you want an R/O/P, so what of the Faeries, Trolls and Undead? Will you state publicly the R/O/P is your goal, or is that just what you tell me privately? I like to play for a good ending as much as anyone, but any stabs in the northern 4 will lead to an Ogre solo, so we're left w a stalemate. Last time we talked you said something like "Suzanne knows what I really want". If that's the case then surely she doesnt really want an R/O/P, cuz I'm sure she's want my head on a stake. So then why make up the fake offers to me?

I ordered all the units I needed to order, and one additional unit I didn't have. You telling me that not ordering Mt Nimro cost me anything? Come on.
Anyway, I'm willing to draw, but not right now. And I voted NO to the Ogre Solo, just to prove my point that a draw is my intention, but I want it down to a 4-way at best. Same as I've said all along.

All,
We do have some retreats:
Undead F Timberlands can retreat to Istar or SAVAGE SEA.
Rogue F ZEBOIMS DEEP can retreat to Pwyll.
Troll F BABEL BEACH can retreat to SEA OF FALLEN STARS or Golgafrincham.
Obviously any of these can also go OTB.
Let's get retreats in by Saturday at 6pm CST (although I may not get to the adjudication until Sunday...I am moving this weekend to a new house).
From there, we will set Fall 17 as Friday April 2nd at 6pm CST.
Our vote will occur with Fall orders although I am certain that it is likely to fail given what I know of the players here.
Please double-check these - the Ogres in particular as there was an order for a non-existant A in Hoarluk and missing orders for two other A's.
Please yell with concerns (and, NO, "parlay" is not an acceptable yell!).

All,
We do have some retreats:

DC292: Fall and Autumn 1911 Adjudication - sam_buck_productions a... (Mar 25, 2010, 10:11 pm) |
Wow. You guys really gave me a race keeping up with the revisions you sent. A total of 8 Updates in the last 2 hours before deadline. I think I used all of your latest orders, but there were so many sets you should probably check. As a result of all this last minute scrabbling, Russia has taken serious losses against Austria, with captures in Ankara and Rumania, all for a possibly critical foothold in Tyrolia. This turn also marks the Passing of England into oblivion. Well done, John. You played well, holding out for much longer than any of us expected you to.
I would also Like to remind you that we have a vote going on. A 3 way France, Russia, Austria draw has been proposed. I am still missing votes. Please get them to me by tomorrow's deadline.

F Norwegian Sea Supports F North Sea - Edinburgh
A Ruhr Supports A Belgium
A Ukraine - Rumania (*Fails*)
A Vienna Supports A Bohemia - Tyrolia (*Dislodged*)
A Warsaw - Galicia
This autumn we would have had a retreat turn, consisting of:
Russian A Armenia (OTB, Syria)
Russian A Vienna (OTB, Bohemia)
Austrian A Tyrolia (OTB, Venice, Piedmont)
Since I already had provisional retreats from Michael, and Russia's were both single-option retreats, I've already autoed autumn:
Austria:
A Tyrolia - Piedmont
Russia:
A Armenia - Syria
A Vienna - Bohemia
Adjustments are the following:
Austria Build 1
England Remove 1
If you both mark your orders as "final" I'll adjudicate early.
