Michael, how many times have I told you, you CAN'T move to Switzerland. And no, if I support you, that doesn't change anything. Those mountains are just too damn big. Even the Al Qaeda would get lost!

"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing. The shadow, even the darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you - That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding onto something."

dc291 game start! - Godzilla (Jan 07, 2010, 9:12 am) |
Hmmm, interesting, never thought of that as automatic disclosure, but as long as we're all doing it:
I am brand new to this club, and to the best of my recollection have never played with any of you. Feel free to remind me if my aging brain has forgotten any of you!
Good luck to all (but more to me!)

Good luck (as long as you stab the other guy!)

Subject: dc291 game start!
Hi folks, and welcome to the WinterBlitz 2010!
I am sad to say that you guys and girls have definitely drawn the short stick...you got stuck with ME to kick off your game. However, on the plus side, your regular (and quite sterling) GM Cory (note his email addresses above) will return shortly. He just asked that I fill a temporary time gap to get the game going!
Your Winter Blitz Round 1 game has been designated as dc291. Please make sure that Cory is on your "safe" list with your email box so that emails from him do not get caught in the spam filter!
As you may note, WB Rules preclude country assignments and those have been selected and are listed below. Please feel free to introduce yourselves to everyone and to start your diplomacy.
Since this is a tournament game, there is a common set of rules and season deadlines that all GMs are observing. This can be found at www.diplomaticcorp.com/winterblitz -- be sure to click the "Rules" option near the top of the main screen once you go to this page. In terms of timing, Cory will have to give a deadline for submitting orders; Tentatively we will set the spring 01 deadline for Monday Jan 11, 3pm Central US time / 2100 GMT!
An [u:e173ed5184]important[/u:e173ed5184] note: when submitting orders, make sure to include a cc: to orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com (orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com) (orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com (orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com)) -- this is for your protection in case your e-mail doesn't get through to me, or if Cory is not available and needs a moderator to run a turn. Also for the first couple turns - I - will be your wonderful and benevolent GM, so please send to both Cory and I until he's back.
Just a reminder of the schedule as laid out in the kickoff email:
* Spring deadlines are Mondays.
* Spring retreats are Tuesdays.
* Fall deadlines are Thursdays.
* Fall retreats AND Winter builds/disbands are Fridays. Builds CAN be conditional upon a retreat but they MUST be clear.
Don't forget to check out the game's page on the DC web site at www.diplomaticcorp.com/?game_id=dc291 - Cory will update it after each adjudication. He will also e-mail each adjudication to everyone, as well as a .dpy game file for use in the Realpolitik adjudication software.
Press is allowed and encouraged. For those that are new, press is simply generic messages that are made public as a part of the turn's results. Typically press is just generic silliness that may or may not pertain to the game. There is actually some good press in the DC274 game so you can read the different turns on that game to see some examples.
And now your lineups!
Austria: Laurence Granier, paetunya-at-orange.fr (paetunya-at-orange.fr)
England: Nathan Deily, ndeily-at-yahoo.com (ndeily-at-yahoo.com)
France: Jonathan Nichol, jonathan-at-deepsheep.com (jonathan-at-deepsheep.com)
Germany: Nigel Phillips, nephilli99-at-hotmail.com (nephilli99-at-hotmail.com)
Italy: Marc Peters, madpeters-at-earthlink.net (madpeters-at-earthlink.net)
Russia: Michael Thompson, psychosis-at-sky.com (psychosis-at-sky.com)

Happy stabbing and good luck to all,

Hey all, I've been out of the loop for the past few days with a crazy sickness, but now I'm ready to roll! So if you haven't seen any emails from me yet, it's not a prelude to a stab (or so I want you to believe!). Have fun, and remember, Italy is your friend!

My time: PST Will do turns at 4PM which is 12Mid Greenwich. There will be no seperate ret/adj phases which I love as should be combined. After a Fall turn you must send rets & adjs within 24 hrs. The builds may be conditional based on the rets only. IE if ger rets to Bur then B A Par else B F bre. I have always been an auto-retreater if only 1 option & that is a rule here. Monday - spring. Thurs - Fall. Every week.
Have had good luck running such tournies elsewhere so should be no prob. Mikael very familiar from mult sites. Have certainly seen Hamish & greg. Max was in my ship-to-ship game some yrs back & I believe I am in a game with John now so many known quantities. Don't forget to cc to orders-at-Diplomaticcorp.com in case of trouble. It is possible you may get mail from me -at- vegasiwish-at-cox.net . That is the only other offical GM mail to pay attention to. Can't recall anything else they told me to tell you. Read the WB start mail for yourself to be sure. Please have WB in your e-mail subj. There is only a general blitz mail box on the site; not 1 for DC295 by itself. There is an active game database for DC295 that you should ck before qs on game.

dc298 WB 2010 Gamestart! - untitled36 (Jan 07, 2010, 8:17 am) |
Hey all,
Huge apologies from me! I came down with the old stomach flu Monday, and it's kept me down the past three days. But I think the worst is over, so it's time to sally forth! (And thanks to Garry for getting us jumpstarted).
I think Garry hit most of the high points, but here are some important update/reminders:
1. Deadlines: My official deadlines are:
Spring - Mondays at 7:00 AM CST (I think that's 1:00 PM GMT)
Spring retreats (if needed) Tuesdays at 7:00 AM CST
Fall - Thursdays at 7:00 AM CST
Fall retreats and winter - Friday at 9:00 AM CST (Note the difference!)
2. Garry noted this, but I'll repeat. Please cc orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com (orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com) when sending in your moves. I will do my best to confirm reciept of orders, but with early morning deadlines like this if you send it in the middle of the previous night, you might not get a reciept.
3. Prelims are your friend. Send in a set of orders as soon as possible. You can always change them later, but if something comes up (like a stomach flu, for instance!) at least you avoid the dreaded NMR.
4. The GM has the final say on all issues.
Have a great time! Stab Away!

Hopefully I'll be an interesting ally to some of you, or if not, at

DC289: Game Start - Rocketship (Jan 06, 2010, 7:31 pm) |
Hi Everyone,
We have seven confirmed players, so it's time to begin. We are now game DC289.
The country list is thus:
DucatiRider Germany ecommander0 Italy JeffreyK England jmc66 France Marlowe Austria tanvirabs Turkey trooper Russia
The deadline for Spring 1901 will be two weeks from today on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 05:00GMT. I will thereafter attempt to keep intervals between major seasons at just one week.
We'll be using the DC default house rules, with just a couple of modifications:
1. I'll send a confirmation whenever I receiver your orders. I'll try to check that they're valid, but I make no promises. Please remember that you're welcome to send multiple sets of orders in a given season (labeled numerically so that I know which to use), so it never hurts to send preliminary orders early.
2. Each of you will be allowed one 24-hour grace period for a missed deadline. Any further missed deadlines will be treated as NMRs.
3. I reserve the right to immediately replace any player registering an NMR in the year 1901.
4. I will attempt to find replacements for any abandoned countries.
5. I'll attach a game map and realpolitik file with each adjudication.
5. Because this is the first online game for many of you, I reserve the right to be just a little soft when enforcing rules 2 & 3.

Hi Everyone,
There was some confusion regarding e-mail addresses, so here they are. I apologize for not doing this earlier, but I was fairly busy this weekend.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

My god that was a nightmare to GM, having to tally up the neutral orders and figure out what the barbarians would do.

DC291 welcome from your GM - coryfucius (Jan 06, 2010, 5:03 pm) |
Sorry to start off the game with a punt to the tournament directors, I have been in off-site meetings each of the last two days.
For those of you who don't already know me, my name is Cory Burris, and I have been a member of DC for over 3 years. Most of my Diplomacy activity recently has been limited to GM duties, as the task of locating billions of dollars for a cratering state budget has taken up a fair amount of my time in recent months. I have the (mis)fortune of working in the budget office of the Governor of Illinois, who took office a year ago after our previous Governor was impeached and removed from office! No, I am not related to our state's junior US Senator, who was appointed by that former Governor before he was sent packing. Incidentally, given our state's backlog of unpaid bills, does anyone know a good way to find $4 billion fast?
Mike Sims has taken care of the pre-game announcements, so you should all know what to do. (Thanks for stepping in, Mike!) The tentative deadline he set, 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT, works well for me. Don't forget that the spring 1901 deadline is Monday, January 11. Preliminary orders are strongly encouraged! And please be sure that you cc: the Orders box, which provides the only evidence that you sent orders in case I am away or Yahoo mail goes haywire, as it has been doing while I have been trying to compose this message.
If you have already sent prelims to Mike, please forward them to me. Now that I have returned, I plan to fulfill my GM duties.
Thanks, and happy stabbing!

Our Elven Marauders Finally DO Get Lost in the Woods and Cannot Find a Safe Haven at Last
Races Vote Against Troll/Ogre Domination So War Continues
The Ogres Take Over the Whole Southern Hemisphere (or so it seems...)
The Dwarves Probably Wish They Were Back Under the Mountain
"Parlay" Apparently Does Not Work Where Ogres are Concerned...Penner's Pirates are Punished (don't you love alliteration in a StoryTime!?)
The Trolls are Pushed Back But Advance While the Rogues Seem to Move Homelands...
Whew! Much action as we bid adieu to several this turn and many more seem to be on the brink (don't look over your shoulder Knights and Dwarves). Thanks to our Archers and thanks to our Elves (including their new captain who lived long enough to fail at a position doomed to fail).
Sorry for the delay. Our lost orders actually came in in rapid fashion; however, your new storyteller got diverted writing the plot for an equally interesting new play called WinterBlitz 2010.
We have a few retreats due. Let's target these for Sunday the 10th at 6pm CST. IF I get them sooner AND they are marked FINAL I will move us along. Our retreats are as follows:
Elven A Aur can retreat to Mom or Anh or Ilt (irrelevant and no retreat needed)
Dwarf A Zhe can retreat to Drc or Pwy
Troll F ESS can retreat to Erg or Pal
Troll F SFS can retreat to Nnl or WTH or Enc
As another note...I apologize that our game is behind on the dc site. I will be making every effort shortly to catch this up so we can follow along and post real results there. However, we are a few seasons behind so I will have to go back to my archives to recreate this. It is a priority though so give me a bit and I promise to jump back on point!
PLEASE PLEASE double-check to make sure I got the orders right...this is a new program/board for me and I may have made a mistake (I know...not likely for a talented ex-Elven marauder but has been known to happen...after all, we DID just get lost in the forest and disbanded..sigh).
I think that covers our business for now. Thanks for your patience in our transition to your new and slightly less entertaining GM!
Garry

Hi all,
I saw the lineup of this one and had to join, despite being exhausted from WB preparations. Some old friends here that go way back. Couple new faces too, or maybe just one, Ross. I think I've known everyone else for a long time.

Mike,
After all this time I still got a considerable chill when I saw your name on the roster. I have absorbed some solid beatings from you that still give me nightmares. Good luck in this one – especially since Romania is such a long way away from Italy….

I'm just wondering what I've got myself into here! Mike, I think you may have taken over GMing a game I was in at some point - the ancient China one perhaps, which ended in something like a 5 or 6 way draw?
Hopefully I'll be an interesting ally to some of you, or if not, at least go down in an amusing fashion!

An [u:9cf9862504]important[/u:9cf9862504] note: when submitting orders, make sure to include a cc: to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com) -- this is for your protection in case your e-mail doesn't get through to me, or if Cory is not available and needs a moderator to run a turn. Also for the first couple turns - I - will be your wonderful and benevolent GM, so please send to both Cory and I until he's back.
Just a reminder of the schedule as laid out in the kickoff email:
* Spring deadlines are Mondays.
* Spring retreats are Tuesdays.
* Fall deadlines are Thursdays.
Austria: Laurence Granier, paetunya(at)orange.fr
England: Nathan Deily, ndeily(at)yahoo.com

Italy: Marc Peters, madpeters(at)earthlink.net

WB 2010 is a go! - FuzzyLogic (Jan 06, 2010, 12:15 pm) |
Hello everyone, and welcome to the WB 2010 – the 3rd Annual Winter Blitz!
As one of the creators and co-moderators of the Winter Blitz, I’d like to take a moment to welcome you all.
First off, we have truly crushed all expectations for this year’s tournament, with 63 entrants - 9 boards of fast-action blitzy goodness. Things got started a day later than we did last year since we held the tournament entry open an extra day (there was quite a flood of last minute interest)… But everything is up and running now.
~~~ You should have your board, country, and deadline assignments! ~~~
If you do not, please reply to me and let me know. In addition, you should take this as a reminder that Spring 01 orders are already due this coming Monday, at varying times set by your GM. Send in prelims, and copy orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com on every set you turn in. This first turn of the game has a whopping 5 days to diplome (Wed thru Mon). This will be the last turn in which you get such a luxurious amount of time! Thereafter, all turns will follow the Monday / Thursday schedule, with retreats and builds due 1 day after the major turn.
Those of you who played last year already know that keeping up with the schedule is not easy. Well it’s even harder for your GMs. There will be times when either Garry or myself will have to cover a game for one of the GMs and when that happens, we are going to use whatever latest set of orders is in the orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com mailbox. This means if you send your prelims there, but you revise mid-turn and only send the revision to your GM – even if your GM confirms receipt – if one of us ends up running the turn, the orders that are in the orders box will be the ones used! It will not be considered valid grounds for any protest if an NMR is enacted or an older set used due to a player failing to cc to orders.
New for this year, we have an earlier hard cutoff for the games. It did occur last year that some games went into the next day before an adjudication came out. This time around, the firm cutoff is 9pm Central US time (0300 GMT the next day), at which time any unposted games will be run one way or another. If you do not have results by 10pm Central time, then please inquire! “Not having received the results” is another reason that will not be considered valid grounds for any protest. The results will be posted online, at the respective game page. Can’t find your page? Just visit the standings (www.diplomaticcorp.com/winterblitz) and click on your game number.
Out of our 63 signups, 15 are new to diplomaticcorp and the Winter Blitz… Here are some tips I’ve picked up from past Blitzes…
1) Time management is certainly key to these games. Those who embrace the fast pace and use the ensuing chaos to the best advantage will do well… The tournament is designed to feel like a tournament – that is, lots of activity, hustle and bustle, and certainly a sense of urgency just like in Face-To-Face games. In those games too managing your time is half the battle.
2) Simply getting orders in timely will set you ahead of a good bunch! There is nothing worse than watching all your units doodle about while you got busy at work or took a weekend trip and missed a Monday turn. Use prelims. You can update later if you want to, up until your GM adjudicates, which should be within about 3 hours of when their stated deadline.
3) NMR’s will occur! This will help some players and hurt others. Be ready to capitalize on the unwary or unprepared. If you do miss a turn, don’t let it discourage you, for that can only turn a bad situation worse. Do damage control, notify players that you are still active, and turn things around.
4) A bad start does not mean a dead experience! Stick every game out, cuz even moreso than in normal 1-week games, these games can turn on a dime. Just cuz an England drops into the Channel or an Italian finds himself in Trieste after Spring 01, never give up! If, after all is done, you truly do find yourself down and out in round 1, round 2 should afford you another chance, playing against others who had a similar first round result. Thus, your chances of winning the round 2 prize are still very good, if not even better!
5) If you are unsure about anything, just ask. Your GM is your first point of contact. You can also reach Garry and myself by emailing to feedback-at-diplomaticcorp.com.
If anyone else who has played before has advice for our newcomers, just REPLY to this message and send to blitz-at-diplomaticcorp.com. This is our Blitz forum! Any message you send to the blitz address will automatically post. To read the posts, just visit the message board, at http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=55 (or www.diplomaticcorp.com and see the recent posts on the home page). This forum can be used for any public discussion that is related to the tournament – formalities, press, intros, etc. Every game adjudication will also be cc’d here, so there is no reason one cannot find a copy of the results somewhere.
Good luck and may good fortune find all your games! (if that’s even possible)
-mike
An [u:f12c00bd5b]important[/u:f12c00bd5b] note: when submitting orders, make sure to include a cc: to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com) (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com)) -- this is for your protection in case your e-mail doesn't get through to me, or if Cory is not available and needs a moderator to run a turn. Also for the first couple turns - I - will be your wonderful and benevolent GM, so please send to both Cory and I until he's back.
Just a reminder of the schedule as laid out in the kickoff email:
* Spring deadlines are Mondays.
* Spring retreats are Tuesdays.
* Fall deadlines are Thursdays.
* Fall retreats AND Winter builds/disbands are Fridays. Builds CAN be conditional upon a retreat but they MUST be clear.
Don't forget to check out the game's page on the DC web site at www.diplomaticcorp.com/?game_id=dc291 - Cory will update it after each adjudication. He will also e-mail each adjudication to everyone, as well as a .dpy game file for use in the Realpolitik adjudication software.
Press is allowed and encouraged. For those that are new, press is simply generic messages that are made public as a part of the turn's results. Typically press is just generic silliness that may or may not pertain to the game. There is actually some good press in the DC274 game so you can read the different turns on that game to see some examples.
And now your lineups!
Hi folks, and welcome to the WinterBlitz 2010!
I am sad to say that you guys and girls have definitely drawn the short stick...you got stuck with ME to kick off your game. However, on the plus side, your regular (and quite sterling) GM Cory (note his email addresses above) will return shortly. He just asked that I fill a temporary time gap to get the game going!
Your Winter Blitz Round 1 game has been designated as dc291. Please make sure that Cory is on your "safe" list with your email box so that emails from him do not get caught in the spam filter!
As you may note, WB Rules preclude country assignments and those have been selected and are listed below. Please feel free to introduce yourselves to everyone and to start your diplomacy.
Since this is a tournament game, there is a common set of rules and season deadlines that all GMs are observing. This can be found at www.diplomaticcorp.com/winterblitz -- be sure to click the "Rules" option near the top of the main screen once you go to this page. Ok, folks.
Looks like the confusion is that two of us are reacting to my failure to be prompt with my assignment as GM.
the DiplomaticCorps site has been changed to reflect the Country assignment I put together. Please disregard and delete the second email regarding Country Assignments from me. There is nothing of importance in the second "resend" email. However, there is important information in Mike's email.
So, we will stay with the Country Asignments in the first Email as follows:
The Country Assignments for DC 297:
Austria Will Fleming wtfleming(at)msn.com (wtfleming(at)msn.com)
England Eric Hunter dip.power.915(at)gmail.com (dip.power.915(at)gmail.com)
dc298 WB 2010 Gamestart! (Winter Blitz) untitled36 Jan 07, 08:17 am |
Hey all,
Huge apologies from me! I came down with the old stomach flu Monday, and it's kept me down the past three days. But I think the worst is over, so it's time to sally forth! (And thanks to Garry for getting us jumpstarted).
I think Garry hit most of the high points, but here are some important update/reminders:
1. Deadlines: My official deadlines are:
Spring - Mondays at 7:00 AM CST (I think that's 1:00 PM GMT)
Spring retreats (if needed) Tuesdays at 7:00 AM CST
Fall - Thursdays at 7:00 AM CST
Fall retreats and winter - Friday at 9:00 AM CST (Note the difference!)
2. Garry noted this, but I'll repeat. Please cc orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com (orders-at-diplomaticcorp.com) when sending in your moves. I will do my best to confirm reciept of orders, but with early morning deadlines like this if you send it in the middle of the previous night, you might not get a reciept.
3. Prelims are your friend. Send in a set of orders as soon as possible. You can always change them later, but if something comes up (like a stomach flu, for instance!) at least you avoid the dreaded NMR.
4. The GM has the final say on all issues.
Have a great time! Stab Away!
.hmmessage P {margin:0px;padding:0px;} body.hmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} Hi guys,
Some of you have been in games with me in the past, this is a new address but same old GM.
A quick rundown of the tournament deadlines:
This is a fast paced game with short turn around. Spring deadlines will occur every Monday. Fall deadlines will occur every Thursday, 3 days later. Then 4 days roll around again to Monday.
Retreats and/or Builds will always be due the day after results are out. That is Tuesday for Summer Retreats and Friday Retreats, Builds & Disbands. Autumn Retreats will always be due at the same time as the Winter Adjustments.
There will be NO delays or extensions.
I may adjudicate early if all orders are received marked final ( this mainly applies to the adjustment phases).
Deadlines will be 8 AM CST GMT -6 1400 GMT. I normally start adjudicating at the posted deadline.
If at any time you find an error or dispute an adjudication you must contact me ASAP. If any turn passes and there is an error on the board, we play on – players have 24 hours from the posting of any adjudication to contest it.
The tournament has supplied a back up email address that it is important that you CC all orders to. orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com This not only helps ensure that your orders are received, but it also allows the Tournament committee to step in and adjudicate in case I am unable to.
DC House Rules http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/info.php?type=houserules govern all games.
Initial Deadlines:
Spring '01 is due Monday January 11th 8 AM CST (GMT -6) 1400 GMT
Fall '01 is due Thursday Jan 14th 8 AM CST (GMT -6) 1400 GMT
dc291 game start! - FuzzyLogic (Jan 06, 2010, 9:04 am) |
Hi folks, and welcome to the WinterBlitz 2010!
I am sad to say that you guys and girls have definitely drawn the short stick...you got stuck with ME to kick off your game. However, on the plus side, your regular (and quite sterling) GM Cory (note his email addresses above) will return shortly. He just asked that I fill a temporary time gap to get the game going!
Your Winter Blitz Round 1 game has been designated as dc291. Please make sure that Cory is on your "safe" list with your email box so that emails from him do not get caught in the spam filter!
As you may note, WB Rules preclude country assignments and those have been selected and are listed below. Please feel free to introduce yourselves to everyone and to start your diplomacy.
Since this is a tournament game, there is a common set of rules and season deadlines that all GMs are observing. This can be found at www.diplomaticcorp.com/winterblitz -- be sure to click the "Rules" option near the top of the main screen once you go to this page. In terms of timing, Cory will have to give a deadline for submitting orders; Tentatively we will set the spring 01 deadline for Monday Jan 11, 3pm Central US time / 2100 GMT!
An [u:80ff6dc778]important[/u:80ff6dc778] note: when submitting orders, make sure to include a cc: to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com) (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com)) -- this is for your protection in case your e-mail doesn't get through to me, or if Cory is not available and needs a moderator to run a turn. Also for the first couple turns - I - will be your wonderful and benevolent GM, so please send to both Cory and I until he's back.
Just a reminder of the schedule as laid out in the kickoff email:
* Spring deadlines are Mondays.
* Spring retreats are Tuesdays.
* Fall deadlines are Thursdays.
* Fall retreats AND Winter builds/disbands are Fridays. Builds CAN be conditional upon a retreat but they MUST be clear.
Don't forget to check out the game's page on the DC web site at www.diplomaticcorp.com/?game_id=dc291 - Cory will update it after each adjudication. He will also e-mail each adjudication to everyone, as well as a .dpy game file for use in the Realpolitik adjudication software.
Press is allowed and encouraged. For those that are new, press is simply generic messages that are made public as a part of the turn's results. Typically press is just generic silliness that may or may not pertain to the game. There is actually some good press in the DC274 game so you can read the different turns on that game to see some examples.
And now your lineups!
Austria: Laurence Granier, paetunya(at)orange.fr (paetunya(at)orange.fr)
England: Nathan Deily, ndeily(at)yahoo.com (ndeily(at)yahoo.com)
France: Jonathan Nichol, jonathan(at)deepsheep.com (jonathan(at)deepsheep.com)
Hi Everyone,
I assume we are disclosing previous playing partners: I have played once each with all of Michael Thompson, Nathan Deily and Nigel Phillips.
Good luck (as long as you stab the other guy!)
Hmmm, interesting, never thought of that as automatic disclosure, but as long as we're all doing it:
I am brand new to this club, and to the best of my recollection have never played with any of you. Feel free to remind me if my aging brain has forgotten any of you!
Good luck to all (but more to me!)
