DC224 Slaughter At StoryTime - Fall 14 - What a Tr... - garry.bledsoe   (Jan 05, 2010, 11:35 pm)
Our Archers' Quivers Run Dry and Realize that Avalon Is Not Paradise...May They Rest in a Land Where Bowstrings are Always Tight!
Our Elven Marauders Finally DO Get Lost in the Woods and Cannot Find a Safe Haven at Last
Races Vote Against Troll/Ogre Domination So War Continues
The Ogres Take Over the Whole Southern Hemisphere (or so it seems...)
The Dwarves Probably Wish They Were Back Under the Mountain
"Parlay" Apparently Does Not Work Where Ogres are Concerned...Penner's Pirates are Punished (don't you love alliteration in a StoryTime!?)
The Trolls are Pushed Back But Advance While the Rogues Seem to Move Homelands...

Whew! Much action as we bid adieu to several this turn and many more seem to be on the brink (don't look over your shoulder Knights and Dwarves). Thanks to our Archers and thanks to our Elves (including their new captain who lived long enough to fail at a position doomed to fail).

Sorry for the delay. Our lost orders actually came in in rapid fashion; however, your new storyteller got diverted writing the plot for an equally interesting new play called WinterBlitz 2010.

We have a few retreats due. Let's target these for Sunday the 10th at 6pm CST. IF I get them sooner AND they are marked FINAL I will move us along. Our retreats are as follows:

Elven A Aur can retreat to Mom or Anh or Ilt (irrelevant and no retreat needed)
Dwarf A Zhe can retreat to Drc or Pwy
Troll F ESS can retreat to Erg or Pal
Troll F SFS can retreat to Nnl or WTH or Enc

As another note...I apologize that our game is behind on the dc site. I will be making every effort shortly to catch this up so we can follow along and post real results there. However, we are a few seasons behind so I will have to go back to my archives to recreate this. It is a priority though so give me a bit and I promise to jump back on point!

PLEASE PLEASE double-check to make sure I got the orders right...this is a new program/board for me and I may have made a mistake (I know...not likely for a talented ex-Elven marauder but has been known to happen...after all, we DID just get lost in the forest and disbanded..sigh).

I think that covers our business for now. Thanks for your patience in our transition to your new and slightly less entertaining GM!

Garry

Dear fellow ambassadors,

Earth rejoices to announce that all races of the universe have agreed to our proposed treaty. We send our warmest greetings and invite you all to attend a dinner to celebrate the new galactic peace. Long has Earth sought tranquillity for the universe and now that all nations have agreed to our proposal a new age of harmony can begin.

P.S.
Thanks for the game everyone. I found everyone in this game great to play with and hope to see you in future games. The map was different I guess, with the theme leading to some great diplomatic dialogue. There were a lot of supply centres though and I think that this made it easy to create stalemate lines that ultimately shut down the game so that nobody could progress.

Hi all,

I found the map a bit lacking tactically too, though I found it great fun. Planets need to be a little more aggregated to make armies much use at all, but even then the fact that fleets aew unrestricted makes them a far superior choice. Possibly just doing away with armies and introducing new types of fleet, in the manner of the aeroplane added to the Wings varient: in addition to the normal fleets, perhaps there could be a scout fleet which can move two spaces a turn but cannot itself attack (it could support though), or maybe just attacks at half strength, and/or a dreadnought fleet which counds as the strength of two units but requires two centres to support it? I don't know how hard these would be implement, but it make people think a bit more about whether they want a range of unit types or not, and the dreadnought fleet woud halp to break up stalemate lines a bit.

Just throwing some ideas out there.

Ross

Good day all

It seems I am much more of a traditionalist that I thought. I had major difficulties wrapping my head around this game and its map. Additionally, I have used jDip to adjudicate my games so long that switching to RealWorld seemed like a trip to the dentist. The only real problem, in my less than humble opinion, is the lack of real purpose for armies. I am not sure how the game could be altered to reasonably employ two types of units - maybe an unwritten rule that fleets:armies ratio must be maintained to meet some arbitrary level, but, in retrospect, no one would like being told what to build and it would make builds predictable, though not any less predictable than they were (unnnh, maybe I will build another fleet this season...)

I apologize to everyone for my rather low level of press in this game - normally I am much more on top of things but I ran into a few health issues that took me away from many things that weren't essential.

Thanks to our GM for keeping things running smoothly.

Good luck to all in future games!

Cheers,
Tom

As a space game, it IS primarily a fleet game and armies just don't matter so much.

I found this variant in the Variant Bank when I was researching a Star Trek variant. The map was pretty much as you see it, all I did was clean it up slightly, and some unit icons and stuff it all into RealWorld.

I like SciFi, but was never much of a Babylon 5 fan. I think it just didn't come on when I could watch it - heck most of the Star Trek I've ever seen has been reruns.

Watching the game run, I found the map difficult to follow. There didn't seem to be a natural structure or pattern to it - it's more like a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces don't conform to the image and you're trying to reconcile the two. I also found the planet/supply centers too large and easy confuse with units. When looking at a map, or the terrain itself with strategy or tactics in mind, you conduct a Coup d'Oeil or "sweep of the eye" to discern attack routes, defensive lines, and how best to disposition your forces to deal with those of the enemy - I found this map to be difficult in that regard.

Here I have to admit I cheated. Every now and then, to get a better idea of the game's flow, I'd swap in the "white map" so I could see better. (attached)
Those of you that used RealWorld can replace babylon5.bmp with babylon5bw.bmp (make the appropriate copies/backups, etc), load dc263.dpw and TAB/Shift-TAB through the turns to see what I mean.

I guess I'll tone down and unclutter the map somewhat. I'll also reorder the powers in the game so they'll be listed alphabetically - I don't know what I was thinking there.

Anyway - thank you all for playing, I look forward to GMing and playing alongside you in the future.

WinterBlitz Gamestart! - DC296 Round 1 Board 6 - garry.bledsoe   (Jan 05, 2010, 7:09 pm)
Welcome to the greatest show on earth!
WinterBlitz 2010!

I am sad to say that you guys and girls have definitely drawn the short stick...you got stuck with ME to kick off your game. However, on the plus side, your regular (and quite sterling I might add) GM Fredrik (note his email addresses above) will return shortly. He just asked that I fill a temporary time gap to get the game going!

Your Winter Blitz Round 1 game has been designated as dc296. Please make sure that Fredrik is on your "safe" list with your email box so that emails from him do not get caught in the spam filter!

As you may note, WB Rules preclude country assignments and those have been selected and are listed below. Note only one of you can say they got stuck with Italy (sorry Josh). It was random so blame the (at)randbetween function of Excel, not me. Please feel free to introduce yourselves to everyone and to start your diplomacy.

Since this is a tournament game, there is a common set of rules and season deadlines that all GMs are observing. This can be found at www.diplomaticcorp.com/winterblitz -- be sure to click the "Rules" option near the top of the main screen once you go to this page. In terms of timing, Fredrik will have to give a deadline for submitting orders; I would pick one but Fredrik is at least 1/3 of the world away from me and I don't want to pick a time that is dreadfully inconvenient for him.

An [u:f73b730b2d]important[/u:f73b730b2d] note: when submitting orders, make sure to include a cc: to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com (orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com) -- this is for your protection in case your e-mail doesn't get through to me, or if I am not available and need a substitute GM (likely me or Mike) to run a turn.

Just a reminder of the schedule as laid out in the kickoff email:

* Spring deadlines are Mondays.

* Spring retreats are Tuesdays.

* Fall deadlines are Thursdays.

* Fall retreats AND Winter builds/disbands are Fridays. Builds CAN be conditional upon a retreat but they MUST be clear.

Don't forget to check out the game's page on the DC web site at www.diplomaticcorp.com/?game_id=dc296 -- Fredrik will update it after each adjudication. He will also e-mail each adjudication to everyone, as well as a .dpy game file for use in the Realpolitik adjudication software.

Press is allowed and encouraged. For those that are new, press is simply generic messages that are made public as a part of the turn's results. Typically press is just generic silliness that may or may not pertain to the game. There is actually some good press in the DC274 game so you can read the different turns on that game to see some examples.

OUR GAME IS ON! The spring 1901 deadline is Monday, January 11 at 12pm Central (US) / 18:00 GMT. In Fredrik's absence I will have to hope that this isn't too late in the evening for him (I don't believe it is). However, he may pick a different ongoing time.

FYI, Fredrik usually confirms receipt so if you haven't heard from him you want to make sure that you verify he has received your orders. However, he is unavailable until Friday morning to confirm receipt; therefore I ask 3 things: 1] send your orders to him; 2] copy me...I will make sure he has all of them; 3] VITAL - ALWAYS COPY THE ORDERS BOX.

I will not confirm receipt. I will leave that to Fredrik since he will be running Spring 01. I am just a failsafe here (God help you all).

Happy stabbing and good luck to all!

Turkey NMRed on his builds and this early in the game I'm not accepting
NMRs, so we're hunting a new Turkey.

When a new player for Turkey is found, we'll reset the deadline and move
forward.

Repent, ye sinners! Your time of atonement is nigh! Flagellate thyselves and kneel thee before a vengeful God – entreat Him for mercy... though, by the looks of ye, ‘tis a fat lot of good it will do. Don sack-cloth. Cover thee with ashes. Contort thy face. And rend thy garments. Ah, what a stinkin’ unwashed lot of wretches ye be. Winter Blitz is here, and it is as cold and cruel as the Iowa winter (currently -4 F / -20 C). Be thee afraid!I am Adam, your GM. But before I can torment you, I must inform you of a series of rules, cautions, disclaimers, provisos, and other administrative details. Please read these carefully, as Winter Blitz has some rather strict rules stemming from: (1) tight deadlines, and (2) the uniformity required in tournament play.Your game number is DC 293. Please include this in all email subject lines to avoid my spam filters. Also, please make sure that my emails avoid your spam filters. There is a web page for this game, its results, its current status, and the current RealPolitik files: www.diplomaticcorp.com/?game_id=dc293.Please email me immediately to confirm receipt of this email. Include your S1901 prelims!RULESThe following rules govern DC 293. Items not covered below may be addressed on the Winter Blitz site (http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/?right=tournament). Otherwise, DC House Rules apply.SCHEDULINGThe first deadline (S1901) will be Monday, January 11th at 10:00 CST (16:00 GMT). Future deadlines will always be as follows:Spring: MondaysSpring Retreats: TuesdaysFall: ThursdaysFall Retreats & Winter: FridaysEMAILS TO THE GMMy email address is smegdwarf(at)yahoo.com I use email filters, so please include 293 in your email subject line… unless you want to end up in my trash folder. I will try to confirm receipt of all orders. I will not correct nor notify you of mistakes in your orders. I usually do, but this is a tournament game.PLAYER ASSIGNMENTSIn accordance with Winter Blitz rules, you have no choice as to your country assignment. You probably got stuck with Italy. I am laughing at you. God is not merciful. (I am not God).DEADLINESAll deadlines will be 1000 CST / 1600 GMT (let me know if this is inconvenient, and we can perhaps arrange another time). Due to the tight and rapid timeline of this tournament, do not expect reminders from me (though you may occasionally receive one). Because this is a tournament (and a blitz tournament at that), there is absolutely zero wiggle room on deadlines. If you are late, then you are late, and I am powerless to help you. Your units will NMR, they will be ordered to hold (or to disband in retreat or to waive a build…Wink, and your allies will turn on you due to your unreliability. Put succinctly: timeliness is the greatest virtue of a Winter Blitz champion. Your timeliness will cover a multitude (but by no means all) of your other sins. As this is a Blitz game, I will not adjudicate early, except where all retreats are auto-retreats. I *will* accept orders after the deadline up until I start adjudicating (usually within a couple of hours of the stated deadline), but since you won’t know exactly when that is, you’re best served submitting final orders before the deadline.***CC: YOUR ORDERS***:You should copy ALL orders to: orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com. Period. Next to timeliness, it’s the single most important thing you can do to succeed in this tournament. Why? (1) The cc’d emails are used to settle all disputes, so you need orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com to cover your holy bottom in case of GM errors. (2) If I am unable to adjudicate (whether with or without notice), then a tournament moderator (Garry or Mike) will adjudicate on my behalf using *only* orders submitted to the confirmation address.AUTO-RETREATSAny unit that is forced to retreat with only one viable option will automatically be ordered to retreat thusly. This may sometimes lead to an early adjudication if all retreats are auto-retreats. If you would prefer to disband your auto-retreating unit, you must contact me by 1000 CST of the appropriate Tuesday/Friday. Preferably sooner.CONDITIONAL ORDERSYou may have noticed that Winter orders are adjudicated at the same time as Fall retreats. You are allowed to submit conditional builds (e.g. “If Austria retreats to Ukraine, then build an army in Moscow; otherwise, build a fleet in St. Petersburg/nc”). For that matter, you may submit conditional orders for any season. Be forewarned that if I have difficulty deciphering the orders, I will treat ambiguities as orders to hold / disband / waive.PROTESTSYou have 24 hours to protest an adjudication. When the 1441st minute ticks away, you may no longer protest; your supplication will be denied no matter how righteous it is and no matter how wicked and perverse I am. Please direct your protest first to me. If I provide no satisfaction, then we can appeal it to a Moderator. Again, time is of the essence. Protests should be made rapidly.PROXIES / REPLACEMENTSIf you cannot submit orders for one season, you may designate a proxy (who may NOT be another player in the Winter Blitz) to submit orders on your behalf. I will need a rather explicit email from the player designating the proxy and providing contact information. Proxy orders are always overridden by player orders, even if the proxy orders were submitted after the player orders. Proxies must be renewed each game year. DC does not provide replacements. So, if one of you must flake, please at least try to find a substitute player to take over your position. Otherwise, your country will fall into eternal NMRs, which spoils the game for everybody. Quite.PLAYER ASSIGNMENTSIt is time to grovel before the unfeeling hand of Fate…GM – Adam Martin-Schwarze <smegdwarf(at)yahoo.com>Orders CC: <orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com>Austria – David Harrison <harridav(at)cox.net>England – Eric Marr <ericmarr(at)gmail.com>France – Joe Payne <josepayne(at)gmail.com>Germany – Jeremiah Lee <dadidea(at)gmail.com>Italy – Jean-Luc Granier <amenhotep13(at)orange.fr>Russia – Chris Morse <camorse22(at)yahoo.com>Turkey – Jeffrey Krause <diplomacy(at)jeffreyk.com>Please email me immediately to confirm receipt of this email. DC269 - Winter 1906 - Viper   (Jan 05, 2010, 9:45 am)
Alright then. Now that I'm back from St. Louis and my computer is running well again AND all the orders are in, we're finally ready for the winter adjustments to get out. So, here goes with the orders:

England:
Disband F North Sea
Disband F Helgoland Bight

France:
Build F Brest
Build F Marseilles

Italy:
Disband A Holland

Russia:
Build F Sevastopol

Turkey:
Build A Smyrna

Along with the orders we have a number of EOG proposals:

1) Russia/France draw
2) England/France/Italy/Russia/Turkey draw
3) France/Russia/Turkey draw

If I missed any EOG proposals, please let me know. Please vote on these with your orders.

Next deadline: Spring 1907 will be due Friday, January 8, at noon CST.

DC281 - New Germany and new Spring 1903 deadline - psychosis1973   (Jan 05, 2010, 1:46 am)
Disappointingly, yet again I haven't received orders by the deadline from England. On that basis, England's out of the game, and I will be seeking a new English player.

Many apologies for this. The situation is as frustrating for me as it no doubt is for you guys.

I'll be in touch shortly.

The deadline for Spring 1903 is 2100 GMT on 4th January - a little over 28 hours away. I'm still to receive orders from three powers. We wouldn't want another delay or more NMRs would we?

Gentlemen

A new Kaiser has taken control of Germany forces. Welcome Herr Michael Boutot!

Given this is Michael's first turn in the game, and the need to negotiate with a new player, I'm setting a new Spring 1903 deadline of Monday 4th January at 2100GMT. Note that I *won't* use the moves existing players have sent in...you'll all need to resubmit, given the changed dynamics in the game.

I've attached the latest map and .dpy file.

WB DC295 START 1/11/10 s01 - vegas_iwish   (Jan 05, 2010, 1:31 am)
My time: PST Will do turns at 4PM which is 12Mid Greenwich. There will be no seperate ret/adj phases which I love as should be combined. After a Fall turn you must send rets & adjs within 24 hrs. The builds may be conditional based on the rets only. IE if ger rets to Bur then B A Par else B F bre. I have always been an auto-retreater if only 1 option & that is a rule here. Monday - spring. Thurs - Fall. Every week.

Have had good luck running such tournies elsewhere so should be no prob. Mikael very familiar from mult sites. Have certainly seen Hamish & greg. Max was in my ship-to-ship game some yrs back & I believe I am in a game with John now so many known quantities. Don't forget to cc to orders(at)Diplomaticcorp.com in case of trouble. It is possible you may get mail from me (at) vegasiwish(at)cox.net . That is the only other offical GM mail to pay attention to. Can't recall anything else they told me to tell you. Read the WB start mail for yourself to be sure. Please have WB in your e-mail subj. There is only a general blitz mail box on the site; not 1 for DC295 by itself. There is an active game database for DC295 that you should ck before qs on game.

Italy! Why does it always have to be ITALY!?!?! Smile

Hey all, I've been out of the loop for the past few days with a crazy sickness, but now I'm ready to roll! So if you haven't seen any emails from me yet, it's not a prelude to a stab (or so I want you to believe!). Have fun, and remember, Italy is your friend!

DCI s07 results! (correction) - FuzzyLogic   (Jan 04, 2010, 3:43 pm)
I seem to have been misled by an imposter submitting invalid orders for the Turk army! If he did not look so much like the actual Sultan, I would have spotted the error immediately!

Corrected results below...

Have you all got your New Years resolutions? You will not stab in Diplomacy, right? or... You'll try to lie... less... or... less than the guy who stabbed you. But in this case just who is stabbing who? It seems like Austria takes some lumps this turn as France moves into Munich, but the real damage seems to be in the Turk capital where Ankara sits helplessly undefended for the fall turn...

2 retreats!

Austrian A Munich can retreat to Bohemia.
Norwegian F North Atlantic Ocean can retreat to Norwegian Sea or Irish Sea or Clyde.

Due Tuesday 1/5, 3pm Central!

Enjoy,

1648 091010: Update - charlesf   (Jan 04, 2010, 12:42 pm)
Hi guys,

Jeff was released yesterday from hospital, yet given the severity of his many injuries shall be pretty much confined to his bed for the next couple of weeks. Though he's in high spirits, he most understandably cannot keep up with the responsibility of playing right now. Lets hope he astounds his doctors by the swiftness of his recovery.

The upshot for this game is that I shall be seeking a Swedish replacement. I hope someone shall step in, much as Mike did in the case of Austria.

Jeff, you will be missed.

Now, the first thing I need from each of you is the builds of Winter 2000.  The way this game starts is you look at the supply centers available to you.  There are seven supply centers in your home area.  You will choose five of them to be your home centers.  You may choose to build any combination of armies and fleets in your five home centers.  Those supply centers you don't choose will become neutral centers and will have to be captured like any other center.

If any of you have questions about the rules specific to this game, please ask.  There are a few creative things we've done to try to help the game run more smoothly and evenly.

Next Deadline: Winter 2000 builds (5 builds each) are due on Friday, January 8, at 1pm CST.

3rd Annual WinterBlitz Kickoff! Tournament is Read... - garry.bledsoe   (Jan 04, 2010, 10:33 am)
Three Years.
Ninety-One Previous Blitzers.
Two Current Champions.
Fifty-Six New Players Seeking Fame.
Only One 2010 WinterBlitz Champion!

Welcome to the Greatest Tournament Around! That's right...it's Blitz time!

It is January again and that means it's time to beg, borrow and stab your way through WinterBlitz 2K10.

WinterBlitz 2K10 is sure to be the best yet. We have 56, yes 56, people signed up to play. That makes this our biggest tournament ever!

A Refresher
WB has two rounds of games that are played (with almost no overlap) in a fast-paced manner. The games will run 1 actual week per game year.

This allows a 10 year game to complete in 10 weeks, or a little over 2 months for a full round. Any games that run beyond 10 years will be allowed to play to completion -- no hard cutoffs

Spring deadlines will occur EVERY MONDAY. Fall deadlines will occur EVERY THURSDAY, 3 days later. Then 4 days roll around again to Monday.

Retreats and/or Builds will always be due the day after results are out. That is Tuesday and/or Friday.

SUPER IMPORTANT NOTES
1. The game roster will be locked today, January 4th.
2. You will receive an email from your Round 1 GM in the next few days. CHECK your spam filter to make sure that you have received one and confirmed. We urge you to send in provisional orders immediately.
3. Please please copy your orders to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com EVERY time. This allows the Moderators to step in and run games as needed if a GM has last minute issues that prevent him/her from keeping a game on track (due to the fast deadline). IF YOU DO NOT COPY YOUR ORDERS HERE and a Mod has to run a game, you run the risk of an NMR!
4. Please note that Fall retreats and Winter builds are combined into one turn! You may make builds conditional on retreats but they are done with ONE deadline.
5. Games should be set up on the DC site by Tuesday.
6. Round 1, Spring 01 deadline is Monday January 11th at a time set by your GM.

Please give thanks to your GM for running this tournament! Without them such a feat would not be possible. It is through their tireless work and commitment to tight timelines that make WB a success and allow us to hold it annually.
On behalf of the Moderators of DC, I wish you a hearty thanks for joining and good luck.

Today is the day! We have an odd # right now, at 59 - if we get 4 more we can run a 9th board, otherwise we run 8 and the last 3 to enter won't get to play. If there's anyone you know out there who might want to play be sure to spread the word today.

.ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P {padding:0px;} .ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} All,
Many many apologies. First and foremost - the Dishonorable Captain Penner pointed out (rightly) that I had never sent out the updated map from the retreats from Summer. Please find that attached! There were several reasons:

1) I did not realize that I had to download a different software to run the game
2) RealWorld does not have a Mac version so that exacerbated the problem
3) My ability to get everything loaded was elementary school level at best

That said, I finally got everything together and was ready...but I got delayed because of sending out WB invitations. Don't forget to sign up for WinterBlitz!

I am set to get us back on track. I should have confirmed all orders at this point. Because of the delay, let's set a new Fall deadline for this Sunday the 3rd of Jan 2010 at 6pm CST. I doubt this will be an issue because I think I already have many orders.

I apologize and I am ready to get us back on track for real.

Technically-Challenged Garry

"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing. The shadow, even the darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you - That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding onto something."
"What are we holding onto, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."

Hello Charles. In response to your various comments and questions:

Busy goes in cycles, I guess, and is dependent upon the dedication and involvement of those who run things in each group. Yes, people have shifted away from the yahoogroup based forums, but those are not the only ones gone quiet. Redscape is a lot slower than it used to be, for example, and so is judgeland.

Certainly the Powers are further apart, on average, than in Standard and there are no Venice-Trieste adjacencies, but there is a pretty good amount of interaction in the first year anyway, and afterwards, well, the armies and fleets get where they are going fast enough! I don't know that stabs are earlier, or later, as a rule. They come when they come.

Yes, the last version (2.0) had a couple of Balkan-type areas (five Powers bordering six dots and four Powers bordering 5 dots, if I remember correctly), but I altered them--lowering the density to facillitate more fluidity of movement. Plenty of conflict remains without them!

The reaon for four dot Powers instead of three dot Powers is simple. Since all of the neutrals are occupied, I wanted to give certain of the Powers the opportunity to get two dots the first year without needing assistance. For the other Powers to get multiple builds in 901, they will either need to immediately attack another Power, or work together form the start.

I am considering a lower victory criterion, but I am unconvinced at this point that one is needed. France, usually not considered an edge Power in this variant, soloed in the last playtest after all, and that was against high quality opposition.

As to no Hungarian Power, both history and board dynamics. They had only moved west into an area bereft of major competitors less than a decade ago, to get out from under the hegemony of the Khazars. They were not quite yet the force they would become. I also did not want another European Power clogging things up, which is why I have never had a Bulgarian Power. Again, less density leading to more fluidity.

I am indeed spreading they word by having playtests in multiple communities. At the moment I have ten or twelve players lined up (depending upon the maybes), so I need three to five more players.
