Mentoring is sich an interesting idea with Diplomacy.  Since we all have different playstyles (and some have several playstyles themselves!), a mentor can so easily twist and warp a young mind.  Smile

I agree, the idea of a short-term mentor to help the newbies stick around is an intriguing one. Jason, how would you implement a mentoring system, would it be at the request of a player or of a GM?

The idea is to keep it relatively informal, either the GM or the player could request the help (this could work for new GMs as well who need advice)
