I'd like to run a Modern game as soon as my dc 225 grinds to a halt.
I had the pleasure of playing the game on Cat23. I also had the pleasure of doing quite well until Cristiano Restitutti joined in as a replacement Ukraine and ousted me.
I also wouldn't mind running a standard instead if there is a severe shortage of GM's available.
I would also like to play in an Aberration or Crowded variant.
As a final note-- what happened with Chaos!? I was very excited about the prospect of a Chaos game.

Perhaps we are now also going to the previously pacific East heat up now that the Sultan has invaded Transylvania, which only recently had acknowledged the Polish king as overlord. In Northern Germany the Danish-Swedish rivalry and recent Polish intervention has led to much territory swapping hands. And the ranks of minor powers continue to rapidly decrease, allowing for most powers to levy more troops this coming winter.
As you know, you can make any of your adjustments conditional on the simultaneously submitted retreat orders. Retreats/Adjustments are due tomorrow 6 PM. I need to warn you though that the adjucation might only be published on Friday on account of my schedule.
Let me also advertise a replacement opening for the other game I'm GMing, namely for Turkey in a 1900 variant game. We are as yet still in the first year and Turkey's position is pretty good and hasn't suffered any setbacks. Should you be interested in joining 1900_090601, sign up at http://www.floc.net/dpjudge/. 1900 is a truly excellent variant and is considered by many (including me) a superior design to Standard Diplomacy. In my book, any serious dipper owes it to himself to try it at least once. This could be your chance!

And the race for control of the Great White North has officially begun!
Conflict is avoided for the most part, as only a single bounce takes
place between Canada and the USA in Yukon. As might be expected, Norway
is the first power to venture out onto the ice; his army takes advantage
of the frozen sea to march to Franz Joseph Land. What is somewhat less
expected is that no one has elected to join him on the ice! However,
with the winter freeze upcoming, I suspect that this situation will not
last for long.
Let me remind you that from now on you will need to keep in mind which
territories will be freezing/melting when you look at the map to plan
your moves; the adjudication is on the fall map because it is for the
fall, but your next set of moves will be for the winter, so moves that
look legal on the fall map may not be! That said, I will do my best to
warn you if you have submitted and illegal order. I have also listed
below the adjudication the territories that will be freezing during the
next season, and I will continue to do this throughout the game.
There are no retreats (none were even possible), so we move directly to
the Winter 2010 movement season, which will be due this coming Monday,
July 27, at 9 pm eastern. Prelims are always encouraged!

Hi folks,
Just like that dc254 is rolling again, as we welcome Dirk Knemeyer to the game to head up the reins of Germany. He's a somewhat new player to the site, but eager to get into a 2nd game so let's see just how the Germans will fare under the new leadership.
Let's set spring 05 due on Monday July 27, so that everyone can have a fair chance to stab the new Austria.
Looking at the online map, it seems as tho somehow we played Spring and Summer 04, but then skipped the Fall turn and went to Winter. Can someone send me a correct Realpolitik file?
