DC 220 Winter 06 Adjudication 07 - Verticallychallangedcutie (May 25, 2009, 4:28 am) |
Folks,
This winter is sad turn of events in DC 220. I received not one order from anyone. So that means France waives all 3 builds and Turkey automatically loses a center not of his choosing. Guys you had an extra day and half to get me orders and I received nothing. Michael this is your second NMR, if you NMR again in the Spring I will replace you as per the DC house rules.

DC-230 Lost Kings Of Lore - Winter 1905 - Tuolumne - former.trout (May 24, 2009, 10:11 pm) |
Wow. Did anyone see that spanking that the Red Wings gave to the Blackhawks today? Ouch. The veterans take the kids to school...
Yeah, yeah.. I know what you Chicago fans are tellin me. My team, the Oilers, didn't even make it to the playoffs. Fair point. =P
Anyways, in the game WE'RE all concerned with - Germany builds some Berlin Bratwurst, Austria cooks up some Vienna Weinerschnitzel, and Turkey gives up the fishing fleets of the East Med.
Those are your tasty results for the Winter of 1905. We'll set the deadline for some Spring 1906 snacking on Monday, June 1st (11:59 PM GMT). Catch you all then.
Cheers!

Heya there folks of the Two Steps,
Hope all of our American friends are enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. But not so much that they forget to send in Fall 1908 orders... Please remember that your cruel GM scheduled the deadline for the holiday Monday, and that you now only have about 24 hours to let me know what you want your troops to do.
Ah.. I am so evil. =P

DC212 Spring 1911 - Swimming With Sharks - former.trout (May 23, 2009, 11:47 am) |
Heya guys,
Austria makes some gains into the Russian proper, but the Western Med remains locked. Not everyone agrees with calling the game as a two-way draw so we play on. Meanwhile, I couldn't find any orders from Jimmy. This is the last turn we play by the default DC House Rules, so I merely accorded Jimmy an NMR and we will move on.
Please note, however, that my House Rules will take effect with the Fall 1911 turn and due to this the NMR policy will change.
One retreat was due from Russia in Moscow, but with only Livonia to fall back to I took the liberty. Joshua, please let me know if OTB is preferred. Deadline for Fall 1911 is set for Thursday, May 28th (11:59 PM GMT).
Please let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers!

Folks,

I haven't yet received orders from three of you, so the deadline for Fall 1909 is Wednesday, 27 May at 2pm CDT (7pm GMT.) Don't be late.

Folks,
I was about to send out an update, so thanks to Chris for beating me to the punch.
Tomorrow's deadline will not stand, as my house rules state that I will only place a country in CD if it's at two centers or less. I only make exceptions to this on rare occasions, so we'll have to wait a bit and see if someone volunteers.

Regrettably, I will have to delay the current adjudication. I'm

tomorrow morning to try and catch the shuttle landing.
I'll try to adjudicate tomorrow, Sunday at the latest.
I do have everyone's orders, however. Thanks for that!

There is 15h left for the current deadline, however I will be unable
to adjudicate this weekend. I'm currently in the UK, and the room I'm

I will adjudicate Monday morning (GMT) instead. You are free to

A&E 090205 / DC240: Fall 1769 Retreat season a... - NickHiggins (May 22, 2009, 7:28 pm) |
A&E 090205 / DC240: The Fall 1769 Retreat season has been adjudicated. The Turkish fleet retreats to the Ionian Sea. Build orders are needed from Britain, Denmark, and Turkey (because of the destruction of A Paris), while a disband order is needed from France. The deadline for Winter 1769 is Mon, May 25th.
We even have a bonus feature: Retreat press!
PRESS: English
AP England: The press corp in London would like it to be known that they have been sacked. If anybody is familiar with the movie LA Story, with Steve Martin,
the London press corp did a similar thing to what Steve did when he
advanced filmed the weather, only to have it go south on him when his
forecast for sun ended up being aired during a pouring rain. The press
clipping to the Turkish player was "mailed in" long in advance of the
deadline, and when the update of the most recent talks from Turkey were
passed on to the press corp, there was nobody in the print room qualified to revise the outgoing press. Shoddy work, that hopefully
will not be repeated during this war. Now back to the feature
presentation.

dc246 autumn and winter 1908 results - coryfucius (May 22, 2009, 6:16 pm) |
I could not locate build orders for England. Garry, I am waiting to hear back from the TDs if your build orders reached the Orders box.
France retreats both units OTB, allowing him to gain a fresh fleet build in Brest. Austria and Italy each give up two armies while keeping their navies afloat. Turkey builds one of each, while England banks his 3 builds.
Spring 1909 orders will be due Monday 5/25 at 3pm Central (US) / 20:00 GMT. That is a holiday in the US, but I will make every effort to run the turn - just don't expect prompt confirmation e-mails from me that day.

As Monday is Memorial Day, I'm not entirely sure I'll be able to adjudicate (from my parents' house). I probably will. So, be SURE to copy your S1909 orders to orders(at)diplomaticcorp.com !!!
Onto W1908. The builds are:
Austria:

England:

Italy:
build A Edi
build A Lon
Turkey:
disband F Tri
Um... if I got anything mixed up, I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out.

dc226 Spring 1907 Results! - hapolley (May 22, 2009, 6:45 am) |
Standard DC226\Spring/1907
==========================
The Deadline for gunboat game dc226 Fall 1907 is Wednesday May
27 at 2400 hrs MT! One player is traveling so if he does not
get orders in on time there will be an extension!
Thanks go out to Rob Bristol for sending in moves even when
down to one SC!
If possible send in builds, Retreats, in a separate email from
moves to reduce the risk of misplaced orders! Same for Press
to be published ASAP rather than with orders!
It is now after Game year 1902! so I will no longer go out of
my way to get a substitute player if a turn is missed.
The GM will when possible give a 24 hour warning before NMR is
declared. The GM reserves the right to issue an NMR without
giving any warning if circumstances warrant.
RULES FOR PRESS:
Black Press rules apply, you may use any byline.
GM has right to edit or not publish press not related to
game, or is indecent by GM personal standards or in some
other way is hateful or personal. GM does not always read
press completely, and can not be held responsible if some
unacceptable press is published.

ENGINEERED PRESS RELEASES
-------------------------
Dear Emperor Josef,
We see that you now are fully engaged against your erstwhile
ally in arms, the perfidious Turk.
As already noted we the German people are happy to land a hand
in your defence.
We are prepared to support your TRI army into VIE should you so
desire.
All we ask in return is that you treat PIE as a DMZ.
Please advise us of your comments before the Spring deadline as
we must prepare our orders accordingly.
Kaiser Willhem
Dearest Bertie,
Thank you for your latest most generous missive.
Due to the tardiness of your Highness's postal service however,
it arrived too late for me to re-align my forces for last season.
No matter. We agree fully with your sentiments re Russia and
Spain, and would only ask that you speed your Fleets to the
Mediterranean where the Turkish Fleets are massing, soon to
become an irresistible force..
In addition, if it would please you we would ask that in order
to aid our Eastern advance could you please realign your Fleets
configuration in Northern waters so as to reduce the perceived
threat to HOL, and BEL. This would enable me to release most
assets Eastwards.
Any positive move in this regard would be most welcome..
Yours in faith,
Willie
Dear Kaiser,
The offer of assistance into Vie would be nice, but may be unnecessary. However, the DMZ in Pie is agreed on immediately.
The Turk will be running, but so may I be. Let's talk about supports in the Fall. I'l surely need them then!
Josef

DC 211: GAME OVER - The Day the Earth Stood Still - deathblade_penguin (May 22, 2009, 3:59 am) |
Russia.
Adam - I really enjoyed the game. I think you are an excellent GM.
I honestly believe that Austria and I could have beaten France - England has I not made that terrible stuff up a few seasons ago but not checking any of my moves or emails and submitting blindly. Either way the game was locked.
I'll write more AFTER i'm done with my reports.

I now have draw votes from all four surviving players. DC 211 Terrorform is declared a 2-way draw between Matt and Trout. Mike and Steve survive. Greg, Guile, and Mark, um, don't.
I invite all 7 players to write EOGs. If necessary, I will get out my gold-ink pen and fine stationery to hand-engrave invitations, because (especially as this is my first game GMing seismic) I really would like to know all of your experiences. Somewhere in there, I will also write a GM's EOG.
At the end of his concession, Mike declared with a lot of exclamation points "Until the next Seismic game!!!!" That should not be too far into the future. I will take a short time to revise the Seismic rules (hopefully incorporating brilliant, incisive comments from your EOGs), and then I will advertise for another game. I would like your advice on a map/scenario. Did you like it with Standard? Would you prefer more players (i.e. more chaos)? Is there a different map (say Modern, or Aberration, or Five Italies, or World War IV -- NOT)? Do you think it would work better in a game with early expansion or with nations starting cheek-to-jowl? You get the idea.
Thank you all for making this first experience with seismic so easy to GM. You're an excellent septet of players.

DC212 Spring 1911 Deadline Reminder - former.trout (May 22, 2009, 2:35 am) |
Heya 212ers...
The weeks gone by in a blink, and the Spring 1911 deadline is nearly on us. Orders and your draw proposal votes are due in just under 16.5 hours. I have most sets in, but I think there's still one or two left out there...
Cheers folks!
