Sorry this was delayed half-a-day or so. I was hoping an Italian disband would come in, but unfortunately I still had no word from Bruce. Italy receives an auto-disband as a result, and as the only unit more than one space away from a home center, its Greece that gets the plunger.
Meanwhile, Germany loads up with three armies, France splits their builds, Austria fleets up in Trieste and Russia removes in Sevastopol.
Please let me know if you spot any errors. Deadline for Spring 1905 orders will be set for Thursday, May 14th (11:59 PM GMT).

Heya folks,
Sorry this was delayed half-a-day or so. I was hoping an Italian disband would come in, but unfortunately I still had no word from Bruce. Italy receives an auto-disband as a result, and as the only unit more than one space away from a home center, its Greece that gets the plunger.
Meanwhile, Germany loads up with three armies, France splits their builds, Austria fleets up in Trieste and Russia removes in Sevastopol.
Please let me know if you spot any errors. Deadline for Spring 1905 orders will be set for Thursday, May 14th (11:59 PM GMT).

That's right, dc210, the Commemorative, original 1958 Diplomacy game, "Great Balls of Fire" has come down to a 3-way draw between the remaining powers of Austria, Britain and Russia. Congrats to the final 3! Of course an equally fitting title could have been "Great Game from Hell", "Nightmare on Dip Street", or even "The Game It's No Surprise It Was Changed There Were So Many Problems With It".
Really... I'm glad to have seen it, and even to have GM'd it, cuz it gives you a perspective on where Dip as we know it came from, and just how good the rules are in the current version. Understanding the past makes you appreciate the present just a bit more.

Okay - after a week of reaching out to my contacts I'm very, very happy to welcome Suzanne Castagne and Jason K to the game. Well everyone... an interesting "turn" of events. Nothing happened that I didn't see coming and I don't think Kyle did anything differently from what I might have (though I am known for crazy and hair-brained ideas).
BH, I haven't had much time to analyse, but preliminary indications are that the stab was too early... I knew it was coming, but I thought you'd give yourself the chance to win. Too bad.
I'm back in for discussions, though survival depends on the earliest of my allies-turned-enemies, so we'll see how that goes.
