Thanks Mike, Good map, a few issues, but I won't rehash them again.
Thanks all, it was real... um... real. Wink

Congrats to Rob & Trout. Thanks to Andrew for being ready to come in if needed. I believe I have made the proper closing moves on the DC site. You guys really have it together there. I put a Versailles or SA 5.2 up on Cat23 a while ago just because that place has gotten pathetic. Non-starters. Maybe will post here or maybe wait until some folk wake up to the ages old wonder of wargames. Maybe I'll even learn 1830 to play Mr Sims' stuff. Acquire games continue to go on - very little time/wk if any. Not sure EOGs necessary after the latest flood of media but feel free anyway Wink I do see some potential fixes to this 1 but won't work hard on it until I am sure I will run it again. Been fun.

HOW DARE YOU!  Moving into my territory like that!  I will devote ALL of my forces to shoving you back across our lines.  I will not stop until I am in your home centers!

If you need to hold there, I understand.  My focus is on French Warsaw.

DC 211: S1908S Adjudication - AceRimmer   (Mar 11, 2009, 10:03 am)
All five seismics succeed. And with what success! Berlin? Feeling a little more disconnected. Rome? They’re building a bridge to Spain. Finland? “I am a rock, I am an island. An island within the Russian arctic.” You may now wish to make sure you understand Rule 4(b): How to Re-Connect an Isolated Province.

Just to clarify before we even go there… Fin/Nwy connect would bounce with both of the following kinds of orders:
(a) Fin/GoB connect and
(b) Swe/OUT connect plus Mos/Nwy separate.

In the former example, we cannot connect an isolated province simultaneously to two different provinces. In the latter example, we cannot connect an isolated province to a border that is being eliminated by another order.

Alright! I’m giving us until next Tuesday for F1908. Take your time and get your orders right.

Austria:
Split Tys/ Wes; Join Rom/Spa
[No isthmus choice specified; strait connects Tys to Wes]

England:
Split Swe/Fin - Join Stp/Stp

France:
Vie and Ber split, Tyl and Boh connect

Italy:
Bul/Aeg disconnect Gre/Con connect

Russia:
Split Ber/Bal, Join Pru/Den

WWIV s12 results! - FuzzyLogic   (Mar 11, 2009, 8:31 am)
Making an overdue return to somewhat timely adjudications… Wink Here are the spring results!

Lots of errors this round, as supports go awry, units bounce, and others are left to be disbanded… need to check those orders! Remember ordering a support does not automatically order the supported unit, and ordering a convoy does not order the convoyed unit. The .dpy is attached, for anyone who wants to use it to make tracking your units easier.

There is only a single retreat, from the beleaguered Song Empire, but GZH can only go to HUN, so we’ll just move it there and continue the adventure with the fall turn.

Fall 12: Due Tuesday 3/17, 10am Pacific!

The only units that
actually move this turn are French.  The Turkish army
in St. Petersburg now finds itself nearly surrounded by
the light-blue meanies.  French armies march behind the
frontlines through Germany, as Austria concentrates on
stopping an attack on Silesia.  Every unit in and
around Italy remains in place.

No retreats are due, so we proceed directly to fall
1909.  We have two endgame proposals to consider as
well:
  1)  a DIAS, 4-way draw
  2)  a solo for France

Please cast your votes on these proposals along with
your fall 1909 orders, which are due Thursday 3/12
at 3pm Central (US) / 20:00 GMT.
Thanks!

Cory

Folks,
Well, Jorge has answered my quandary with his own type of solution - he has withdrawn his request to join. Thomas is still in. I'll run with the orders he sent in just before I raised this question, and the adjudication will be out shortly.

DC-227 Short Delay - TheWhiteWolf   (Mar 10, 2009, 9:23 pm)
Folks,
Normally, I'd NMR Russia as per my house rules. However, Babak warned quite a few people well ahead of time that he was having problems with his computer. In that light, I'm pushing the deadline until tomorrow (Wednesday) at the normal time.
Babak, if I still don't have your builds by then, I'll be forced to NMR you just to keep the game moving.

Guys,

Please note that there is not a draw proposal of any kind currently on
the table. I thought some clarification might be needed because I've
received votes for a non-existent proposal. When a proposal is voted
down (as one has been), a new proposal must be proposed every time by
somebody, they do not just magically renew themselves.

Orders for Spring 10 are still due Monday.

votes received from those of you from whom I have received them, but of
course you may change them. Votes and orders due tomorrow at 9 eastern.

DC242: 24h grace period for Austria - Rocketship   (Mar 10, 2009, 10:27 am)
Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately, I haven't received Austrian orders for Fall 1901 by the
deadline. I'm now giving the Austrian player his one and only 24 hour
grace period.

If I don't have Austrian orders within 24 hours, I will reluctantly
place Austria in NMR.

That build would be Fleet Rome.  And Warren - you're a genius.

B. of Italia

First thing's first, the draw proposal has been voted down, so onward we go.

The alliances again seem to be shifting this turn as Germany finds himself under attack from both other powers, with Russia cutting a key support from Kiel and allowing Italy to get into Munich.  Elsewhere Germany does push back the Russian forces in Prussia, while Italy still finds German forces blocking the entrance to France.

There were three resultant retreats.  However, Germany only had one option that didn't involve bouncing with himself, and I took the liberty to retreat the Russian army to War (over Lvn).  If either of you prefer OTB or a switch (in Warren's case), just let me know.

All of this leads to a winter with only one adjustment: Italy is due one build.  So I will adjudicate that as soon as I receive it, but I'll set a deadline for B for Wednesday at the latest.  If I receive the build tomorrow we'll have Spring 10 on Friday, otherwise it will be Monday.

The Southlands NRM yields the turn's only retreat, but as the fleet in the FoD has only one place to go, I have so ordered.
I am trying to get a response from the Southlands, but considering his position We either need a mercy player or CD.
In other news, The Borderlands hole back the Trollocs, again. But nothing else goes right, and Shadar Logoth is captured by the Midlands after a small scrap with the Westlands.
The Westlands trade Amadaca for Ghealdan as their fleets sail south, and the Seafolk take Mayene and gain control of the Fingers of the Dragon.
