DC224 - Summer 04, Fall 04 Deadline Reminder, News... - former.trout   (Mar 03, 2009, 11:51 pm)
Heya folks,

You'll find the Summer 04 map attached, with my apologies for being such a slacker.  I had totally forgotten that I didn't get it out to you until a few players reminded me this morning.  What can I say?  Your GM is a lazy-ass...

Your GM is also a jerk as well.  Our friendly Gnome King sent in a retreat order a few hours after I issued the Summer 04 adjudication.  I've wrestled with the decision for the last couple days and unfortunately I have decided to let the adjudication stand.  While the retreat was received - it was received late and after the adjudication had already been published.  I did provide a warning as well as some extra time before running the turn.  My humble apologies, but I am sincerely hoping to get this game moving on the published deadlines and will make the effort to do so.

Which brings us neatly to the Fall 04 deadline reminder.  Unless an extension is asked for, orders will be due in roughly 18 hours.  I am still missing quite a few sets, so please get them on in.

And finally - advance warning that I will be seeking a replacement Hobbit.  Our current Baggins, Graham, will soon be launching into an adventure of his own - travelling on an expedition for Shark-Teeth and Yeti-Scalps.  This should not affect the Fall turn, but if our Hobbit friend owes you any money then NOW is the time to collect.  =)

Cheers everyone.  Talk to you all tomorrow night.

DC215 Deadline Extension - MattTheLesser   (Mar 03, 2009, 9:35 pm)
A deadline extension was requested more than 24 hours before the
deadline, so I am granting it. The deadline is moved to this coming
Monday, March 9, at 9 pm eastern.

Once again, the English and Russian orders bounce, so neither order succeeds. Yeah, just checking to see if you were awake. You see, England disbanded and Russia built, so the two orders cannot possibly bounce. Now, if England had also been building, it might’ve been a different story.

Austria:
build F Tri

England:
disband F NAT

France:
Build A Par
Waive 2nd build

Italy:
A Tus disband
F Nap disband

Russia:
Build a sev

Let’s have S1908 on Friday. I’ll be out of office on Wed/Thur, fyi.

Cool! Do you think I'd get away with pre-emptively building 4 fleets
in Trieste next Fall? After all, that's what I'll build over 4 years
if I get the chance. Smile

Really? Misorder again??!!?? Jason, c'mon man its been several turns in a row that you cannot seem to get it right. And each time you mess up you let Trout farther and farther in behind you... almost beginning to think you are throwing the game to him...

Anyhow... as for an extra room Vegas, I would offer it if I had... you can occupy the floor for a while if needs be... hope for your sake it doesn't come to that!!

Gemany can actually retreat to BAR or SKA. Realpolitik auto-disbanded
him since it, for some reason, does not allow one to retreat after one
holds. Sorry I didn't catch that, but like I said, I had about 2
minutes to put that message out. This being the case, I need a german
retreat to BAR, SKA, or OTB.

Thanks to Stephen for running Spring, and to all of you for your infinite patience during my absence. Don't worry, this won't happen again for at least four to six months (when I end my service to the US Navy and go begging for a job in the civilian sector.)
