DC-227 GM is Back! - TheWhiteWolf (Mar 02, 2009, 10:34 pm) |
Hey Everybody!
Thanks so much for dealing with all the delays while I was gone. I hope you treated Trout good, because I'll be asking him for a report to find out who was naughty in my absence. ;o) Anyhow, I'm back and ready to roll, and apparently so is the game.
I'm very happy to welcome Ilyas Erzik to the game. He's been gracious enough to take on the mantle of Turkey for the foreseeable future. The new player list and deadline are below, and I've attached the map and RP file.
Players:
Austria: Matthew Kelly <kelly058(at)verizon.net>
England: Nick Cherrier <zeclient(at)hotmail.com>
France: Andrew Ott <drew3739o(at)yahoo.com>
Germany: Michael Stroz <mistro914(at)gmail.com>
Italy: Mark Utterbach <mdemagogue(at)gmail.com>
Russia: Babak Talebi <babaktalebi(at)gmail.com>
Turkey: Ilyas Erzik <IErzik(at)mail.az>
Deadline:
Fall 1915 is due Wednesday, 4 March at 2pm CST (8pm GMT.) Please note the time zone - I'm back in Texas now. I realize this is a very short deadline, but I've already got orders from all the veteran players. If anyone has a problem with this deadline, in light of the new Turkish player (especially Ilyas himself,) please let me know as soon as possible.
Thanks for everything,
The White Wolf

Sorry Gentlemen.
I am still in Southern California with my father. The news we received from heart tests yesterday was wonderful, and he will only have to have the aortic valve replaced. It still means open heart surgery, but since there was no disease to the actual heart, we are all in good spirits.
However, this is the FIRST time since Sunday that I have been able to get on the web on my computer. As such, I plead with you to continue to use my fmartin(at)psomas.com account for e-mail, as I think it's highly likely that I will not be consistent in logging on to my surewest account.
Thanks for your patience. I will try to review and respond to e-mails already written in the next few minutes, and hope to engage in dialogue throughout the next two days on my crackberry.

DC236 Winter Blitz Board 6 - Spring 08 - former.trout (Mar 02, 2009, 9:16 pm) |
Folks,
There's exciting times and tidings in Spring 08 as the draw proposal is voted down, but a new Italian Solo proposal is tabled for your consideration. Meanwhile, it appears you'll be stuck with my Evil butt as a GM for a couple more turns at least at the request of the illustrious Mrs. Jameson (who is recovering from a recent trip to the hospital.)
On the board, the big Green reinforces the Italian hold on the Turkish peninsula - though a Northern front appears to be blowing south from Russia. Germany holds onto Kiel, but with white all around the forecast for the Fall is dire.
There was one retreat owed from Russia in Constantinople, but with Ankara as the only option I took the liberty. (Benjy, if OTB is preferred then please just let me know.) So with that, the Fall 1908 deadline will be set for Thursday, March 5th (11:59 PM GMT).
Please let me know if you spot any errors. Don't forget to give me your yays or nays for the Italian solo with your Fall 08 orders.
Cheers!

Dear Uncle Bertie,
Thank you or you much needed support in helping our cousins in Belgium be freed from the yoke of French tyranny!
They and indeed I will be in your gratitude for as long as the German Flag flies over the Mannekin Pis..
Certainly the German people are delighted in becoming a partner with the the Great British people and do pledge not to build any navies.
With this in mind, let us press on on all fronts firstly to eliminate the French, and then to see what possibilities lie before us.
Yours in trust,
Willie

DC232 spring 1908 results! - coryfucius (Mar 02, 2009, 3:53 pm) |
First things first, the draw proposal is defeated, so we play on!
France dislodges both remaining English units, but runs into a counter-attack in Italy. The status quo holds elsewhere in the Mediterranean and along the front between Austrian and French forces. Behind the respective front lines, Austria advances to Galicia and Turkey moves to Armenia, while France occupies the Ruhr.
Three units are dislodged, but only two retreats are due, both from England.
The English fleet in Norway may retreat to Barents Sea, Skagerrak, or OTB.
The English fleet in Sweden may retreat to Finland, Gulf of Bothnia, Skagerrak, or OTB.
The French army in Tuscany has no valid retreats and is destroyed.
Summer 1908 retreat orders are due tomorrow, Tuesday 3/3 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT.

England and Russia bounce. Austria and Italy mutually support?!? Yeah, I don’t get it either, but they both ordered the same seismic. Just for the record, had anybody else ordered a seismic on an adjacent border, the A/I seismic would still have succeeded. And, just because Berlin needs more neighboring provinces, France connects it to Switzerland.
Now for those winter adjustments. Let’s usher in the Winter tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1000 CST.

Well, at least one player is not satisfied with drawing AR. Ditto for AIR. So, you'll just have to loot, rape, and pillage for another season. There is only one retreat.
Italian A Venice can retreat to Tuscany or Apulia or OTB
Please spiff that off to me by tomorrow, wouldya, Steve?

Folks,
No quarter is given as we say farewell to our Sultan this round. My thanks to Michael for battling it out with grace and style. =)
Two retreats are needed - one from Italy in Munich and the other from Russia in Rumania. Retreats and Winter 07 adjustments will be set due for tomorrow evening - Friday, Feb 27th (11:59 PM GMT).
Also, a Russian/Italian draw has been put forward once again. We'll set the deadline for the yay or nay votes with the Spring turn - on Monday.
Please let me know if you spot any errors. Party on!

DC236 Winter Blitz Board 6 - Spring 08 (Winter Blitz) former.trout Mar 02, 09:16 pm |
Folks,
There's exciting times and tidings in Spring 08 as the draw proposal is voted down, but a new Italian Solo proposal is tabled for your consideration.
Cheers!
