Heya folks,
As Garry is probably knee-deep in birthday cheer tonight, this adjudication comes courtesy of your friendly neighbourhood Trout. And a slightly complicated one it is too, as no retreat orders are found in the orders inbox for Germany... And while retreats are submitted for France, the French omit their disband...
Sorry guys, but de rules are de rules. The German army in Galicia is retreated OTB, and being the furthest from a home center, the French navy in Clyde is plucked from the board. Not bad news for England who adds two new fleets to their arsenal.
Deadline for Spring 07 orders is set for Monday, February 23rd (11:59 PM GMT). Cheers all!

Cheers all!

Subject: A&E 090205 / DC240: Spring 1763 Retreat Season Adjudicated, and Press
A&E 090205 / DC240: The Spring 1763 Retreat season has been adjudicated. The British army in Hanover has retreated to Holstein. Our next deadline for Fall 1763 is Thursday Feb 26th at 10 pm USA Eastern time. Mike has graced with some more press as well...
Press:
AP London: "Honest to God truth, I didn't know Prussia was a separate European Country, or that they had an army!" stated an exasperated Lord Frank on the shame of the Hanoverian 1st Brigade's startling defeat in the lowlands. The monarchy is facing some significant heat from critics, wondering how the navy could take control over the entire seas around the island, and surprise the French off the coast of Brest, while the lone English army was not only sitting idle, but being pushed north at an astounding pace. Lord Granite is particularly feeling the heat, as word from the embassy in Berlin (which was burned to the ground by rioting Prussians) was that Lord Granite never made an appearance prior to the onset of conflict, nor sent word that any talks with Prussian ambassadors were to take place.
When asked what damage control was being done with regard to the situation, Lord Frank paused, then answered quietly. "Well, we have begun discussions, but they are probably not as friendly as they may have been if we had talked before our army was routed to the Holstein Peninsula." Lord Frank was quick to point out that diplomatic efforts had been very fruitful on other fronts. "We've secured a tentative peace with Austria, and our neighbors to the east in Denmark and Norway have been absolutely smashing in our time of need."
While Lord Frank would not elaborate on plans for the fall campaign, he did give some hints. "Our army will not be embarrassed again. We will enlist the support of all who would help us reclaim what is ours. If the Prussian Government wishes to be included in that group, we are willing to let bygones be bygones. Water under the bridge. No sense crying over spilled milk. We'll give 110% effort, and God willing, we will reoccupy Hanover without undo pause. Oh...we're also going to save the repressed people of Brest."

Better late than never, right? It’s my son’s 6th bday tomorrow so we’ve been busy!
Despite the extra time, both the UK and Mexico miss the turn. Note I didn’t review the results like I usually do, so if RP screwed anything up, it might be wrong. Let me know!
Lots of dislodging going on, as 7 players owe me a retreat! Due Tuesday 2/24, 10am Pacific! Any retreats not received by then will be removed OTB. If I get all 7 early, I’ll send out the turn on Sunday.
Then I’ll wait to do builds in a separate turn, since there’s so many retreats that makes for a complex build turn if we squeeze them together. If you know what you are due to build, feel free to send them early.
Enjoy,
-mike

This season's results remind me of a quote from "The Hunt for Red October":
Your Russian's going to make it to America, Mr. Ryan. He's going to die within sight of it.
However, in this case, it is England who dies within sight of his homeland. Thank you for
staying with it to the end.
VIE was dislodged and with one retreat and no remaining dots I retreated it to GAL.
Needed adjustments are:
Austria: Supp 2 Unit 3 Remove 1
England: Supp 0 Unit 2 Remove 2
France: Supp 8 Unit 4 Build 0
Germany: Supp 7 Unit 3 Build 0
Italy: Supp 6 Unit 3 Build 0

Since I don't set deadlines on weekends those adjustments will be due Tuesday February 24 at 2100.

Folks,
As some of you know things have been pretty hectic in my house lately. The kids and I came down with a horrible stomach virus that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The kids and I are finally better but we just received word that my husband is being sent back to his home base a few days earlier. That leaves me little less then a week to get packed, find us a truck and an apartment in San Antonio. During this time Stephen Lytton will be taking over GMing for you go so all orders from now on are to be sent to stevelytton(at)hotmail.com.
As soon as we get into San Antonio and we get settled I will take back over. Stephen will be setting a new deadline I believe. Have fun guys and take care. I'll be back in about 2 -3 weeks.. ( hopefully 2! )

A&E 090205 / DC240: Spring 1763 Retreat Season... - NickHiggins (Feb 20, 2009, 7:41 pm) |

Some units shift, but certainly not in Sweden. The results set up a promising (or despairing) F1907. Virgo will be lucky in love. Taurus should beware of uncertain business opportunities. This may be the time for Gemini to reconcile with an old friend. Libra is just plain hosed. Ursa (as in the Russian bear) has one retreat available from Berlin to Prussia. I am adjudicating it as such unless Mr. Lytton notifies me he prefers to disband. S1907 Seismics are due on Monday at 1000 CST.
