DC215 Update - MattTheLesser (Dec 30, 2008, 3:12 pm) |
I have had requests on both sides of the table - to leave France in CD
for the sake of time and to replace him for the sake of fairness. So
I'm going to do something in the middle: I am going to post for a
replacement on the DC site, but only until the end of this week (Friday
the 2nd). If no one has accepted the position Friday at 9 eastern I
will put France in CD and immediately adjudicate with the orders I
have. I have orders from all 6 other nations; you can update them until
the 2nd. Obviously if we get a new France then the deadline will have
to be extended more, but I will try to keep the game moving as much as
possible.

DC201 (Viking) - Spring 960 adjudication - bielf11 (Dec 29, 2008, 11:53 pm) |
Spring 960: the Romans did it again. Fires light up the Cagliari skies.
And the Burgundians find another SC they just conquered destroyed by the defeated and disbanded Roman navy.
Worse, the Romans also take Pisa at the cost of the Burgundese army. But since Pisa was already set on fire earlier, there is little harm the Romans can do. Or perhaps not?
And it won't come as a surprise that the majority of the fighting is between Burgundian and Roman forces. What may be a surprise is that the, what now seems to be former, ally of the Romans, Sweden loses its army in Ruthenia to a joint Roman attack from Cumania with support from Transylvania.
And thus the Romans are on their own again.

It's been a bit longer than usual so no excuse not to get your orders in!
Have orders from: Russia, Germany, England, Italy
Need orders from: Turkey, Austria
Note that I have not included France; this is because our President,
Alvin, has said that he needs to withdraw from the game. I think it
would be difficult to find a replacement for this position so I am
placing France in civil disorder (CD), meaning all his units will hold
and disband if dislodged. If anyone has a serious objection to this
ruling and very much would rather I attempt to seek a replacement let me
know ASAP.

Game start: Diplomatic Corp DC228 - gman (Dec 28, 2008, 8:16 pm) |
Hi Guys,
Game is up and running. We are DC228.
Spring 1901 orders are due Monday 05/01 at 2100 EST - (1pm local time Melbourne Australia 1 day later - where I am). This will be the longest deadline due to the time of year. If someone wants an extension to this deadline, please let me know.
I have 7 and have asked for the game to be moved from recruiting to Active.
Once that happens the number we will be given MUST be in the subject line
on ALL game related correspondence that goes between us.
Everyone got a top 2 selection.
I am going to run this with 3 day or so deadlines. First deadline is longer.
There will NOT be anything due on the weekends.
If a deadline falls on a Friday, retreats/adjustments will be due Monday.
Other house rules worth noting:
1. There will usually be 24 hour notice prior to the deadline
2. *IF* that does not happen and orders are missing I will extend 24 hours and contact the player.
3. If no orders are received within 24 hours of the deadline I *WILL* NMR you.
4. IF there is a second NMR the game will be placed on hold and you WILL be replaced.
5. Generally speaking I try to be very flexible so as to keep the game moving. If you need
an extension, just ask.
6. NO extensions will be granted at or after the deadline.
7. The subject line on ALL orders MUST contain the following:
7a) Game number, Country, season, and year. I don't care about the order
8. BE SURE you change the subject line when replying to results with the next
seasons orders.
9. Adjustments will be due WITH the retreats. If this is a problem let me know
but I see no reason it should be.
10. Retreats/adjustments will be due 24 hours after the results are posted so please be ready.
11. The default retreat will be OTB.
THERE WILL BE NO GRACE PERIOD ON RETREATS OR ADJUSTMENTS.
Adjudications or a status will generally take place within 2-4 hours of the deadline.
If you do not hear from me within 24 hours feel free to email and remind me.
The game ends under one of three conditions (slightly different than the DC house rules)
1. One player attains 18 or more centers.
2. ALL players with centers vote one player a solo.
3. Draw unanimous by all parties, can have 3 way draw with 2 survivors if you need to.
If you have ANY questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask me.

dc210 w05 builds! (draws) - FuzzyLogic (Dec 28, 2008, 6:00 pm) |
Hey folks, my bad! There were actually two (count them, uno-dos)... draws proposed for next season:
A) 6-way draw excluding Austria
B) DIAS (all 7 players)
Vote on BOTH by the spring deadline, which is still this Friday 1/2, 10am Pacific. You can vote yes on both, no on both, or yes/no on one or the other, but either one would require 7 yes-votes to pass. If by some chance both proposals pass, the one with more players (B) would take precedence.
Happy Holidays,
-mike

Mixed bag, as Santa brings a new fleet for the kiddos in London, armies and boats to France, and even the little ones in Sevastopol wake up to something in their stockings... But the grinch not only focused his efforts on Bavaria, he left in Con only a crumb... even too small for a mouse.
BUILDS:
E: + F Lon
F: + A Par, F Bre
G: - A Bav
R: + F Sev
T: - A Con
Then we have another 6-way draw proposal, this time it includes everyone but Austria! Vote yay/nay with spring orders.
NEXT: Spring 06, due Friday 1/2, 10am Pacific!
Enjoy,
