DC 220 Delay - Verticallychallangedcutie   (Nov 30, 2008, 8:07 pm)
Folks,
I just received an email from our Russia. He has informed me that he wishes for me to find a replacement for him as he is away with work and does not have internet access. So for now the game is put on hold until I can find a new Russia. I also have not heard from our Turkey yet either. So this is the plan....I will put us back on the main page for recruiting and find us a new Russia. If I do not hear from Turkey by Wed night I will also find us a new Turkey so we can get this game going again. As soon as I find the replacement I will set a new deadline.

DC219 I Ching You! - Winter 1901 - The Fur Flies - former.trout   (Nov 30, 2008, 12:42 pm)
Heya folks,

Okay - thanks to everyone for their patience this weekend. All winter orders arrived and with them come the builds. It's a pair of armies for Austria and Germany and fleets for pretty much everyone else except for Italy. Germany, just to prove that they can, sends out an iron-clad fleet of their own.

Looks to be tough fighting in the Spring. Deadline will be set for Wednesday, December 3rd (20:00 GMT) as previously outlined by Mikael. Please send your orders to me, with a CC to Mikael.

Also, just let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers!

Just a follow up -
The family and I wound up staying in northern Wisconsin due to snow
storms so we will all be leaving later today and heading home. I have all
the orders and have loaded them into Realpolitik but since not all of them
are marked final I cannot process and post the results.

Depending on the ride home and how long it takes I may not get them out
tonight. If not, they will go out Tuesday.

However, if I do get final indications before 11AM CST I may be able to get
them out today.

Babak, the Winter Blitz is our yearly tournament, played in blitz fashion... that is a full game year of play per week - Deadlines every Monday and Thursday. This allows 2 full rounds of fast-action play to be completed in only 6 months. Last year's Blitz went right to schedule, started in Jan, and was won in June by Nigel, who managed to solo both rounds! It was very hit and miss, those who liked it really loved it, and those who didnt, thought it was either too fast, or too easy to NMR. It IS hard to keep up with... you really have to be on your game, as a GM and a player - but it is great action for those who seek it...

DC 207: Fall 367 BC Adjucation - scaponig   (Nov 30, 2008, 8:41 am)
"Confront them with annihilation, and they will then survive; plunge them into a deadly situation, and they will then live. When people fall into danger, they are then able to strive for victory."
- Sun Tzu

Lots of action in the North, and Chinyang falls, and the Hordes are driven from Lintse. Nothing happened in the South.

2 retreats, both with only one option, so I used that. If either of you want to retreat OTB instead, notify me within 24 hours. Barring that, we go on to winter 367 BC. Adjustments due on Wednesday, December 3 at 23:59 GMT. Again, if I get all adjustments beforehand marked FINAL, I will adjucate early.

Since Ch'i did not take Nan Tsechuan, that SC is still in the hands of the Neutrals from Lu. Therefore, a build is necessary. The default build is Army. Include the Neutral order with your adjustments. This means I should be hearing from everybody, even those of you without adjustments of your own.

Thanks,

Steve

What?... You guys expect me to actually use the right orders in my adjudications? Pshaw..

Italy actually supported the Turkish unit in Albania to Serbia. My apologies for the slight oops there. Russia still overpowers the Turkish attack however, with the two supports from Budapest and Bulgaria. So the map and adjustments that were previously sent out remains valid.

Corrected results are below. Deadline remains set for Monday, December 1st (11:59 PM GMT).

DC219 - Winter 1901 Missing Adjustments - former.trout   (Nov 29, 2008, 3:27 pm)
Hey folks,

I have two out of three missing orders already sent in now. I will adjudicate tonight if all 3 are received or tomorrow morning if I'm still waiting for the last one. If by 16:00 GMT tomorrow that last set isn't in, then I will award an NBR at that point.

Due to the holiday weekend and any confusion about Mikael's absence, I will suggest to Mikael not to use any of your "life-lines" on this one... I'll leave the final decision on that up to him however.

Cheers,

Trout

Now - granted I was a little too under the influence to pop out the adjudication for Winter 1901 last night... But it looks as though something was in the air anyhow... There are three of you who I do not have orders for that I'm fairly sure actually want to build something in the first Winter turn... =)

I've notified the three players whose adjustments I'm missing seperately. We'll extend 24 hours here until tomorrow morning in hopes that the orders come in. Thanks for the patience everyone - I'm fairly sure that the orders were simply sent to Mikael and not to me.

Heya folks,

The big dogs take care of business in England this turn, but the wiley Germans find a way to survive to fight at least one more day. Meanwhile, under the new management the forces in green find themselves gaining strength.

Two retreats were required but both only had one option other than OTB. I took the liberty of retreating Germany to Kiel and Russia to Armenia. If OTB is preferred by either party then please just let me know. Otherwise, we'll set the Winter 1905 deadline for Monday, December 1st (11:59 PM GMT).

My thanks to Samuel for valiantly fighting this one right down to the last gasp. Good luck bro - we'll see you in the next one. =)

Thanks everyone. Cheers!

DC219 - Winter 1901 Missing Adjustments - m_don_j   (Nov 29, 2008, 12:29 pm)
Hello fellows,

Trout, I've not got any more adjustments than you had when you sent this. I'd like to again remind about the NMR policy for this game:

NMR;

All players have one, 1 that is, 24h grace period prior to suffering their first Nmr of any kind (moves, retreats or builds/removals). After that, Nmr’s will be enforced as defined by the DC houserules.

...you have about 1,5 hours (which is 24 hours past the original deadline), or if Trout decides to make it 24 hours from when he sent this out, then there is a bit more time. i'll let Trout make that call.

/ Mikael, your GM on vacation Smile

DC219 - Winter 1901 Missing Adjustments (dc219) m_don_j Nov 29, 12:29 pm
Hello fellows,

Trout, I've not got any more adjustments than you had when you sent this. I'd like to again remind about the NMR policy for this game:

NMR;

Heya everyone,

Now - granted I was a little too under the influence to pop out the adjudication for Winter 1901 last night... But it looks as though something was in the air anyhow... There are three of you who I do not have orders for that I'm fairly sure actually want to build something in the first Winter turn... =)

I've notified the three players whose adjustments I'm missing seperately. We'll extend 24 hours here until tomorrow morning in hopes that the orders come in. Thanks for the patience everyone - I'm fairly sure that the orders were simply sent to Mikael and not to me.

Cheers!

You are, indeed, in trouble. Mikael has foolishly asked me to help run a couple turns.. Bwa-ha-ha!!! =)

Seriously though, I'll try to keep things at the same standard Mikael has so far. Please DO CC Mikael on all orders sent to me.

Thanks everyone. Cheers!

I will be away from friday morning though, so your friendly Trout: former.trout(at)gmail.com (former.trout(at)gmail.com) , will run the builds, Spring 1902 and any retreats that might come. Days and time for those will remain the same; Wednesday 3rd December 20:00 gmt +1 for Spring 02 moves and Friday 5th December 20:00 gmt +1 for the retrats - if any.

SO, make sure you send him the orders and not me; feel free to cc me though. I will keep in touch with Trout as well to avoid any mishaps. All in all, should not be any problems. Without further ado, here we go!

DC219 - Winter 1901 Missing Adjustments (dc219) former.trout Nov 29, 03:27 pm

Cheers,

Trout
