I'm relieved that I didn't suddenly lose a fleet in the wrong place.

By the way, what the heck happened anyway? I thought the Q would be so superior in his handwriting reading skills so that even an angry scrawl by furious klingon warriors would be sparkling crystal clear.

Got a breakdown somewhere, eh?

DC215 Fall 1901 Results - MattTheLesser   (Oct 22, 2008, 10:57 am)
Russia finds quite a bit of success with some help from Austria, while
England draws the short straw in Belgium as France assists Germany in,
although the royal navy does take up a strong position in the
Mid-Atlantic. Meanwhile every single neutral was claimed, so Europe
braces for a large influx of new units.

There are no retreats, so the next deadline is for Winter 1901, which
will be this Friday, October 24, at 9 pm eastern. Builds due are listed
below the adjudication.

By request, the deadline for Stardate 2374.1 has been extended to Monday, October 27; 2359 UTC so they may better absorb the recent corrections.

OH! Your talkin about me aren't you? China was the only one with retreats. I'm awake now.
I'm sorry. I assumed that if you didn't hear from me the single retreat I sent would go and the other two would be OTB.
Thats what I want.

And China votes YES to a Holland solo. (I know, I don't care if its open voting or not)

Hi folks,

Been a lot of chatter the last couple of days concerning end-game proposals, stalemate lines and personal opinions of other players. Your humble GM has also had a serious case of real life happen and is late putting out the Summer adjudication... But, oddly enough I only have one of the three retreats needed to adjudicate.

Add in the fact that we have a travelling player, a draw proposal that I didn't have a chance to put forward but has already been voted down, and a new Dutch solo proposal tabled for your consideration... Is your head spinning yet?

In any case, with all of that I've decided to extend the Summer 1879 deadline a couple days. Hopefully we can grab in the other two retreats, and let me hear you all holler yay or nay whether to grant Holland the solo. The proposed 6-way draw has been voted down and a Dutch solo proposed in its place. Retreats, and votes, will be now due on Thursday, October 23rd (11:59 PM GMT).

Thanks everyone. Apologies for being out of touch and out of whack the last couple of days...

dc204 ~ The Final Frontier - sgttodd   (Oct 21, 2008, 11:22 pm)
The Q apparently can't read Cardassian handwriting either. Subsequent
to his ordering Laz to retreat to Dop, Gull Frink ordered the fleet
disbanded instead - which I did not apply.

As a result, a new DPW is posted. Please note that there is no longer a
F Dop and F Trill is not disbanded, ie: there a Cardassian fleet in
Trill,.and therefore the Cardassians did not NMR.

Hopefully that the last screw-up for this turn and we can finally get on
with Stardate 2374.1

Heya guys,

We're short one set of orders for Winter, and I've notified the player in question in a seperate email. Since I had such a brain-lapse on my own last week, I can't rightly fault our missing player completely. We'll extend a 24 hours grace, after which I'll move the game on orders or no orders.

Thanks everyone.

Winter 1913: France builds a fleet in Brest.

Will Russia and Italy manage to survive another year?
Will Austria be able to hold off France in the Mediterranean?

We'll see.

Hello All,

Please note we had two nations with NMRs again this fall: England and
Austria.

ENGLAND! Unless you submit a retreat order by Thursday, October 23,
your nation will be in civil disorder... you will be out of the game!
English F Norway can retreat to Skagerrak or Norwegian Sea or Barents
Sea. (Other players... curious what happens with civil disorder...
visit the house rules at

will not impact winter builds/disbands. WINTER 1903 BUILDS/DISBANDS ARE

Dear all 206ers.

As I am a primary school teacher, I've just moved into report writing time.. combining that
with everything else I am supposed to be doign - my free time is being severly limited at
the moment so emails may be few and far between.

Subject: Acrimony / dc206 - Fall 1903 Results
From: johnmarkellsworth(at)gmail.com

Sea. (Other players... curious what happens with civil disorder...
visit the house rules at
http://diplomacy.ellsworthlink.net/jmehouserules.html.)

will not impact winter builds/disbands. WINTER 1903 BUILDS/DISBANDS ARE

Russia Lives to Die Another Day
A New Alliance in the East?
France Still Hanging Tough.

No retreats needed and only two builds, one for Turkey and one for England. Let's set our next deadline
for Tuesday October 28th 5pm CST. That will give us time to get retreats in before I go out of town;
yes, I will be out of town for about 10 days so we will have a slight hiatus. The Tuesday deadline is for
Spring 1905!!!!

I will send out builds when I receive them. The deadline for those is two days hence 5pm CST. I will NOT
be able to send out an updated map with those two builds [most likely] because I am out of town but I
will try to send out one if I can. I certainly can send out the updated map on Sunday.

DC176 - Fall 1913 adjudication - bielf11   (Oct 21, 2008, 6:07 pm)
Fall 1913: Austria under attack!
The French and Russians launch attacks on Austrian units in Munich, Marseille, Tunis, and Livonia. The French fleet has now neared the coastline of Italy where Austria has increased its defenses.
The Austrians had all their units in the East support the attack on Moscow; the Russian army was outnumbered 3 to 1 (or 4 to 2 if we include Livonia and St Petersburg).
The Italians cleverly anticipated the departure of the Austrian fleet from Smyrna and moved their army in. They now seem to have strengthened their hold on the Southeast.

No retreats required.

Orders executed:
----------------------------
Austria:
A Berlin Supports A Munich
A Bohemia - Silesia
F Ionian Sea Supports F Tunis
A Livonia Supports A Warsaw - Moscow (*Cut*)

.ExternalClass DIV {;} Hello all, I am your temporary GM, just until Steve gets his Computer situation worked out.

So as I understand it, you have all received the spring results, and I now need the retreat orders from you all.
Please send those orders to me and the Game box by Thursday, (at) 9pm East Coast US Time. (for reference I am sending this message just past 10:30 AM)

Thank you all for your patience!

Jason

Here are the results again:

"For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill."

With three mobile neutrals (and one supporting), it appears that some are attempting to win without fighting.
Everyone captures exactly one neutral center this Spring, which leads to several dislodgements.
Let's get the Retreat orders for those neutrals in on Tuesday, October the 7th at 23:59 GMT. Retreat orders will be the same as regular ordering of Neutrals, except that if there is no consensus, the unit will disband. There will be no delay for this adjucation. Since there are no Chinese units that were dislodged, and only neutrals, any orders missing on Tuesday will be orders to disband the neutrals. If this is what you want, I will still appreciate you shooting me an email telling me that.

A couple of technical notes: I am using my wife's MAC, which I hate. Because of this, I don't have the file converters that I have on my computer (and it took enough to convince my wife to let me download Realpolitick), and I don't know how to convert the .pic to a .gif. If someone could do that, and email it back to me, that would help a lot. Also, the MAC version of Realpolitick won't let me copy the orders like the PC version does. How do I get around that, so I don't have to type the orders next time?
Thirdly, I think something is wrong with the Mandate RP file. On my PC and MAC, I can't open a saved version. It says something like invalid order or something. Does anyone know more about RP that can figure out what that is?

Double the draws, double the fun! There are two proposed for next
spring:

3-way FRT (A survival)
2-way FT (AR survival)

Vote on both, either one would require 4 yes votes to pass. If by
chance both pass, then the draw including more players takes precedence.
If I have 4 yes votes on either by Winter, I'll call the game then, but
they are not due till Spring.

DC 211: W1901 Correction - AceRimmer   (Oct 21, 2008, 10:53 am)
I'm only surprised that it took me until W1901 to make an error...

England builds ARMY Lon, not FLEET Lon.

Corrected map attached.

Seismic f10 results! - FuzzyLogic   (Oct 21, 2008, 10:07 am)

BUILDS:

A: 01/01 Even
F: 11/13 +2
R: 08/07 -1
T: 14/13 -1

Due Thursday 10/23, 10am Pacific!
