Alright folks,
here is the sources of the (MY!) confusion
France orders:
[quote:9f468cdc62]A Pic S A Mar-Bur
[/quote:9f468cdc62]
So Bur is still in French possession.
I'll get all the orders right, one of these years!

England loses a couple to Russia and France, while Germany continues to spread out… And the Balkans… Oh my… Turkey helps Austria into Trieste, but Serbia gets hit from Russia and Italy… one of the two last Austrian dots fall, tho Gre stays alive due to an invading standoff! Confused?? I sure am! The Turk army in Serbia is destroyed (no retreat possible) and Vienna only has one option – Bohemia – so I’ll just move it there and we move on to the builds.

Ok guys,
A late adjudications due to GM error. We have our first NMR, since there was no record Turkish orders to me or the "orders" mailbox. Sorry for the hardline but Blitz is BLITZ!
To get us back on track, the deadlines have been modified:
Winter deadline for tomorrow night and Spring deadline will be pushed back a night to Tuesday.
I will send out the map ASAP...and as usual CHECK MY WORK!

DC147 (wb0812) - Game Paused Pending Protest - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Hi folks,
A player has issued a protest concerning the winter adjudication and has notified me that he is not 100% satisfied with the GM ruling. At issue is the adjudication of both the retreats and adjustments phase combined into one Winter turn.
I have passed the matter on to the other Tournament Directors for their review and deliberation. As the decision is pending and the result may be revisiting the Winter 03 turn, I will pause the game to allow for TD review.
This email is for player notification of the situation. Cheers,

DC147 (wb0812) - Game Resumes - Spring Deadline Mo... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Hi everyone --
I want to begin by saying I really like this site (having played on the judges before), and I have a lot of respect for Trout, Mike Sims, and the others who volunteer their time to make it happen for the rest of us. That said, read on.
I was the one who protested. The Winter 03 reminder for our game said to take care of "retreats and other adjustments" and I took that to mean that we were to submit retreats or OTBs. Then we would have "builds" after that. I'm used to the separation of retreats and builds in games outside the tourny, but as Trout and the other TD pointed out to me, the rules of the tourny require retreats, other adjustments, AND builds to be submitted all at the same time.
I, of course, wanted to build an army in MAR to serve as a bulwark along with the retreated army in PAR -- who wouldn't? It's the clear logic of my position in France. So I argued that since allowing the build would not delay the game or hurt anyone's position (in fact, it will make for a logical, competitive game), that the tourny should treat it as a "no-harm-no-foul" situation. The tourny disagreed, arguing that my submission of a retreat-without-a-build was equivalent to the NMRs (No Move Received) that have already taken place in the tournament. I still think they are two different situations, but I respect Trout's decision to get on with business.
However, since the logic of my position has been compromised by a rule-based technicality, I don't see the sense in prolonging the now inevitable decline of the French position. So I am going into CD (Civil Disorder) by way of NMRs for the rest of this game. I think that will make the most sense.
Thanks for a good game, and good luck in the rest of the tourny.
-- Dan.
