DC136 Avenging Disco Godfathers - Fall 1905 - Love... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Dont call a doctor
Dont call her momma
Dont call her preacher
No, I dont need it
I dont want it
No doctor needed for Italy - the French have given him a terminal case. Fall 1905 resolves itself with the last of the green machine being dislodged and forced to retreat by the Teal. As that funky beat goes on, Russia lays a funky vibe in the north moving into the North Sea and Germany hangs on as the rock in the middle of the dance floor.
Two retreats needed, although one is admittedly moot. England needs to relocate the North Sea fleet and Italy needs to move or disband the fleet in the Adriatic. My thanks to Jorge for sticking this one out to the bitter end - sometimes you bite the bar, sometimes the bar bites you.. But it takes character to hang around - we all appreciate it bro. =)
Deadline for Early Winter 1905 will be set for Saturday, February 9th (11:59 PM GMT.) Please let me know if you spot any errors.
Cheers!

Guns, Germs and Steel 1264 / DC110 - Fall 1868 - G... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
- RUSSIA SHARES A TURKEY SANDWICH WITH AUSTRIA AND HOLLAND!!
- UNITED STATES SLAPS BRAZIL WITH A MEXICAN BURRITO!!
- RUSSIA ANEXES JAPANESE SUSHI BARS ACROSS NORTHERN ASIA!!
- FRENCH NAVY ONCE AGAIN FAILS TO GET SAILORS TO VACATE FIJIAN PARADISE!!
-----------------------------------------------
Heya folks,
Definitely an exciting fall turn as with the turn of the year we will see our numbers drop by two. Despite all efforts to the contrary, our friendly Mexican and our good Sultan finally succomb to the pressure of all their neighbours beating them with sacks of doorknobs. The Japanese make a valiant struggle in the southern seas and Russia dominates in northern Asia and the Turkish peninsula.
There is many a retreat needed after this turn. I will need orders from Turkey, United States, Brazil, Holland, Japan and Mexico. (Although admittedly, the Turkish and Mexican retreats are a foregone conclusion -and in fact I already have the Mexican retreats in hand.) Deadline for Early Winter 1868 adjustments will be set for Saturday, February 9th (11:59 PM GMT).
My thanks to both Randolph and Jerry for sticking it through and playing out what must have been some very frustrating game-years. We all appreciate it, fellows. =)
With that, please let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers!

It doesn’t get any better than this guys, so much is going on!
In the west:
Germany goes all out against France, helping Russia to take Liverpool, and England to retake their capital…
In the east:
Everything’s a mess as Austria orders his last unit to move instead of taking the Italian support… and I have no idea what’s going on in Asia! Italy cuts the support that would have moved the Turk out of Smy, everyone attacks everything, but in the end not a single unit moves.
This all makes for a Fabulous Friday as a ton of orders are due:
RETREATS:
France: F Liverpool can retreat to IRI or NAT or OTB.
Germany: F English Channel can retreat to IRI or Belgium or OTB.
Austria: A Tri can retreat to Alb, but it is irrelevant so Dale, thank you for your commitment to the end of the game, and hope you do better next time! Pls send me an EGS and I’ll hold it till the end, or post it yourself if you like.
Note two units can retreat to IRI – if they do, they both disband!
BUILDS:
France: Remove 2
Germany: Build 1
Italy: Remove 1
Russia: Build 3
RETREATS, BUILDS, and REMOVALS are all due tomorrow 4pm Pacific!
*** There is no separate retreat phase to see the retreats first. ***
(I will send out the results any time I have a full set)
Note if Germany retreats OTB or disbands by a clash in IRI, then Germany is Build 2 so be sure to order conditional builds.

Lots of action in this one!
Austria cuts Smy support when Smy was supporting Austria -- to no effect tho as the Turk empire drops from 3 to 1. England seizes the Mid Atlantic and StP, rounding both corners while Italy sets full sail to the west and Germany snuffs out the French in PIc.
Many orders, all due TOMORROW (Friday) 4pm Pacific:
RETREATS:
France: F MAO can retreat to NAT, Por, or NAf
Russia: A Smy can retreat to Ank or Arm
This retreat then affects the builds!
BUILDS:
Austria: Build 1
England: Build 2
Germany: Build 2
Russia: Remove 1 (or Remove 2 if Smy-Arm)
Turkey: Remove 2 (or Remove 1 if Smy-Arm)
Please be sure to turn in your builds based on both possible retreats, as I will be running both the RETREAT and BUILD phases together, per the WB…
RETREATS, BUILDS, and REMOVALS are all due tomorrow 4pm Pacific!
*** There is no separate retreat phase to see the retreats first. ***
(I will send out the results any time I have a full set)

DC152 (wb0817) - Fall 1905 - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
Heya gang.
This one is definitely a scramble - way too close to call. =) France takes a center from England, who in turn takes St. Petes from Russia even as Russia wrests control of Berlin from German hands. And in the non-home center front, Turkey seizes Trieste from Italy.. Fall 05 was a very twisty-turny season.
Several retreats required after the Fall 05 turn. One each from Germany, France and Italy. Please note that these are due at the same time as Winter adjustments - the deadline being Friday, February 8th (11:59 PM GMT).
Please let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers folks!

Hi all,
Couldn't find orders from either of the Western powers - France or England. Brian and Dan, if either of you have a confirmation receipt from me please just forward it and I'll adjust the adjudication. As the Western forces sit idle though, the Eastern war machines move on...
Two retreats are required - both from Italy. As always, both the retreats and the winter adjustments will be due on Friday, February 8th (11:59 PM GMT).
Please let me know if you spot an error.. Cheers blokes!

DC116 Vogon's Revenge - Spring 1912 - These Are Th... - test_gm (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am) |
As the grapes grew on the vine
The ground shedding frosty winter brine
The Vogon Revengers gathered round
To examine what they'd found -
What appeared to be a classic stalemate line!
---------------------------------------------------------
Yes, little movement occurs on the board with the exception of the Austrians staging a daring raid on Tyrolia and English and Turkish fleets moving behind the lines. The unfortunate Russian army in the mountainous province is disbanded, and we move on into the Fall of 1912.
Please let me know if you spot any errors. This will be interesting to see if either side can shake something loose. Deadline for Fall 1912 will be set for Tuesday, February 12th (11:59 PM GMT).
Cheers!

Well folks, guess in my rush to get this out yesterday I missed a couple important points in the adjudication.
1. France had submitted a revised Belgium order and has a valid confirmation from me. The move to Holland from Belgium bounces the German Kiel order and Holland remains open.
2. I had failed to switch control of Denmark to Germany. This results in Germany gaining a build and England disbanding two.
Apologies for the adjudication errors, guys. The corrected adjudication is below. I'd like to keep the retreat deadline the same, for Saturday, February 9th (11:59 PM GMT). Please just let me know if you need an extension, however.

It doesn’t get any better than this guys, so much is going on!
In the west:
Germany goes all out against France , helping Russia to take Liverpool, and England to retake their capital…
In the east:
Everything’s a mess as Austria orders his last unit to move instead of taking the Italian support… and I have no idea what’s going on in Asia !

Alex,
Your timing is impeccable. You show up one year late and suddenly grow nads enough to judge others. I think I even heard your voice crack as I read your remarks!
Mark your calendar next time if you are going to complain about the expansion of your northern neighbor, and don't be pissed because you just lost camel humping privileges in CON!

This is the cry of a desperate man! You can't refute what I say so instead you attack my character! alack!
It's true, I didn't show up on time. My mother once showed up to a party 2 hours late only to find that her invitation had been bumped ahead for her notoriously late past, and we were right on time! But that was years ago.
Hey, at least I had the balls to make a bold move when the cards were on the table. It didn't work out for me, but that is why they'll call me a Martyr! What will they call you? A Pigeon!!
