Italy welcomes the crew - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
There are some nations yet to admit an Italian ambassador, and to those nations, I warn that you will be then forced to admit the Italian 1st!

Not a bad idea, if you enjoy parades. And flags, and Italy's finest young men marching through your streets.

Maybe your Gross Domestic Product will rise, eh?

WeCanWorkThisOut (a) Yahoo.com to discuss your future within Italy's empire.

That is all!

Presidente Alexander "The Gentleman"

Nice catch Dan. Ok, Birma doesn't border the Gulf of Siam, ie no East coast. I fixed the map BMP and unloaded a new zip file to
http://mainecav.org/diplomacy/rp_imperial1840.zip.
It's a drawing error, so was easy to fix. Reason number 27 why you don't proof your own work. Smile

Guns, Germs and Steel 1264 / DC110 - Early Winter... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
- MEXICAN FLEETS JOIN UP WITH THE PIRATES OF THE WESTERN CARRIBEAN
- UNITED STATES NAVY TAKES UP LOG-ROLLING IN NORTHERN ONTARIO
- JAPANESE FIND COUNTER BALANCE IN EQUATORIAL COUNTER-CURRENT

Hi guys,

As advertised above, Mexcio retreats to Western Carribean Sea, the United States to Ontario and the Japanese to Equatorial Counter-Current. Other retreats include the US disbanding their Tennesee army, the British disbanding their fleet in Queensland and France retreating to the Sargasso Sea.

Winter 1865 adjustments will be due Monday, November 5th (11:59 PM GMT). This is a quick deadline, I know. However, since I have prelim adjustment orders in from almost everyone already I'm hoping that's groovey.

Cheers all,

GGS 1264 / DC110 - One Missing Set of Adjustments - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hi folks,

We have a missing set of adjustments, amazingly from a player who is never late. Not sure what's up - but the player in question has been notified and I'm positive I'll have the missing orders in ASAP. However, since tomorrow is my first day back at work I will be hitting the sack early tonight. Thus, winter adjudication will be out first thing tomorrow morning.

Sorry for the delay, all. Cheers!

- JAPAN ONCE AGAIN THINKS EVERYTHING IS OKI-DOKEY (yeah - I know how bad that one is...)
- KIWI RUGBY PLAYERS DRINK FRENCH NAVY UNDER THE TABLE, OFF THEIR BOATS AND OFF THE ISLAND

------------------------------------------------------

Sorry about that slight mix-up with the orders folks. The missing orders had been handed in well previously, and all fault lies with me. Of course. And after that, which sounds too much like my arguments with ex-girlfriends, we move onto the Winter orders. =P

Fleets are built in Okinawa, New York, Washington DC, St. Petes (north coast), Cayenne and Oliveira. Boats are scuttled in New Zealand, Austen, the Persian Gulf and the Horn of Africa. On the army side, new grunts are brought online in Transvall, Ceylon, and Croatia. Meanwhile we say goodbye to our friends in Nova Scotia and the last Prussian regulars in Metz.

To try to keep the quick weekly pace, I'll set the Spring 1866 deadline for Friday, November 9th (11:59 PM GMT.) Please let me know if this doesn't work for you, or if you spot any mistakes or errors.

Cheers all,

DC-114 Spring 1904 - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
There are two retreats. F Greece can retreat to Albania or OTB. A Budapest has the fortuitous option of offensive retreats to either Romania or Serbia besides OTB. Austria and Turkey please send at earliest convenience. The quicker deadline appeared to work well this turn so I will continue the orders every 5 day pace unless someone objects. Map is up on the website.

DC123 Shade Of The Bonsai - Winter 1573 - Elysium - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
From the Regulations of Kuroda Nagamasa:

The arts of peace and the arts of war are like to wheels of a cart which, lacking one, will have difficulty in standing.

The spirits of the islands watch in awe at the busy work of their human brothers as Winter 1573 rises and ebbs. As the snows melt, a new Shimazu fleet is seen in Osumi, a Mori army stands ready at Chikuzen as does an Oda one in Totomi. The Asakura set sail from Inaba in a new navy and the Takeda, not to be out-done, raise a new army in South Shinano and launch a new fleet in Echigo. The Hojo keep busy scuttling their fleets at sea and the Chosokabe slip from the pages of the struggle.

I'd like to say thanks to Mike one last time for stepping in and taking a very difficult position. I definitely appreciate it. And with that, we move on to Spring 1574. I'll set a quick deadline and call orders due for Friday, November 9th (11:59 PM GMT). If this is too quick for anyone though, please just let me know.

Cheers folks. Let me know if you spot any errors.
