Uh, huh... You're Artur Hawkwing? Right... I think the Aes Sedai must have missed trying to 'gentle' you. It is clearly time to call in the white coats (white cloaks?).

Seriously though, why is it that everyone has to role-play a great leader? Everyone wants to be a Ceasar or an Alexander the Great. You never see anyone who says "I'm Oprah and I will rule your world!" Or "Hey kids! I'm Pee-Wee Herman and I'm going to sweep through your supply centers Ha! Ha!"

Ah well, game on then!

DC123 Shade Of The Bonsai - Fall 1574 - Ariadne - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
From The Chikubasho:

In this world of uncertainty, ours should be a path of discipline.

The two halves of the map differ wildly in Fall 1574. In the north, the combined forces of the Asakura, Oda and Hojo continue to frustrate the aims of the Takeda clan - resulting in no movement except along the peripheries of water. In the south, however, the Shimazu defence crumbles in the face of the Mori onslaught - turning more than half of the green centers a Mori blue.

Two retreats were required - one an automatic disband and the other having only one place to go, so I took the liberty. The Shimazu fleet in Satsuma was dislodged and disbanded. A little luckier, the Shimazu army in Bungo was auto-retreated to Hyuga. However, if OTB is preferred by the Shimazu please just let me know.

Winter builds are fairly simple with the Takeda, Shimazu and Mori owing adjustments. We'll set the Winter 1574 deadline for Friday, November 16th (11:59 PM GMT). As always, please just drop me a line if you spot an error.

Cheers guys,

Trout

DC129 In Rainbows - Winter 1901 - Nude - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
You paint yourself white
and feel up with noise
but there'll be something missing

Now that you've found it, it's gone
Now that you feel it, you don't
You've gone off the rails

------------------------------------------------

Luckily, everyone's orders stayed on track for Winter 1901. Fleets and navies spring up across the board - in Smyrna, Edinburgh, Marseilles and Brest, Kiel and Naples. But land-lubbers are drafted into the service as well, with new boots on the ground in Constantinople, Budapest, London, Berlin and Moscow. The board gets more crowded, and we move on.

We'll set Spring 1902 orders due for the regular Tuesday deadline, on Tuesday November 20th (11:59 PM GMT). Please just let me know if you spot any errors.

Cheers folks!

Peter - I need a retreat for F Bel. Note that you have two options - NTH or NRO [which is no retreat ordered which means disband so you can build elsewhere].

Orders for Builds/Removes will be contingent on that retreat. When I receive it, I will publish with a request for builds/removals. I expect to get a quick response from Peter and then will publish new deadlines for builds/removals and the next turn.

Note: I will be sending a map in a separate file - HOWEVER, the map will have the following inconsistencies:

* It will show the F Bel as disbanded....note that it is pending retreat.
* It wil show Russia's removal as A(Lvn). That is actually contingent on his request. I had to show something as removed for the program. Until he gives his remove request consider that as an A in place.

Should get interesting. AGAIN - APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY!!!!

Guns, Germs and Steel 1264 / DC110 - A New Emperor... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hi everyone,

Please give a hearty welcome to Bret who is stepping in to helm the forces of the rising sun. Bret has been good enough to take up the position and allow us to keep this baby running. His email is bret_pollack(at)hotmail.com (bret_pollack(at)hotmail.com)

We have an interesting situation before us now, timing-wise. I'd like to give Bret at least a couple days to negotiate - but we have a couple players that will be without access from Nov 20 to Nov 28.

So I'd like to reschedule the Spring 1866 deadline for the middle of that time period. I realize that gives an adjudication in the middle of two players absences, but hopefully this will be acceptable due to the 're-do' nature of this turn. If not, just let me know and we can revise the deadline. Otherwise, please have any revised orders in by Friday, Nov 23rd (11:59 PM GMT.)

Thanks again for the patience everyone!

Hi everyone,

Please give a hearty welcome to Bret who is stepping in to helm the forces of the rising sun. Bret has been good enough to take up the position and allow us to keep this baby running. His email is bret_pollack(at)hotmail.com
