Oh - and on another note -
Peter - backstabbing everyone is actually a legitimate style of playing this game.Granted once the word gets out he won't get much traction, but there are those whoplay that way anyway.

I do agree with Tim. I would like a share in a draw but there is no way to get that at this point. I am more than willing to play a game out but we have played out and he's won.

DC501 - Fall 1915 - packrat   (Jan 17, 2015, 6:08 pm)
I'll be honest with you all - he has had PLENTY of chances to solo and he's screwed  upevery one of them - which is why he bounces between 16 and 17 and just can't seem to
seal the deal.  IOW - if it were sex he'd be messin with the panties for hours.
Does he have a chance at a solo?  yeah, he has a chance but I think each of us has NMR'dat least once so ya never know what can happen.  Yes, he chances are also better than theyhave been - but we aren't done yet and the tables can still turn.  I don't see the solo as aforgone conclusion.  At least not just yet.
As Patrick said - vote for the DIAS and it's done and you can WB your brains out.

Know what: Older friends of mine say there IS no Santa and it is Mike Sims who is bringing & taking the units. But I'm not a doubting Thomas, I think Mikes discussions with Santa just went not favourably...

So with the holidays just around the corner, it's time to see to whom Santa brings new units, and from whom he taketh away.  And in this case the question has to be burning on everyone's mind... What the heck did the Barbarians do to be so naughty!  Removals on the retreat phase, removals on the build phase, I can't wait to see what's in store next...

Oh and the Winter Blitz will be opening shortly... watch out for that!

NEXT:  Spring 07 due... do you want to just make it in Jan?  I can't peg a good day between Christmas and New Years that would give so many ppl a good shot at diploming, so let's go for Mon Jan 05... 12 noon Central!

DC501 - Fall/Winter 1914 - Operations   (Jan 03, 2015, 8:51 pm)
Italy claws back to the brink of soloing with the gain of a center, bringing them back to 17. As usual, all proposals fail. If Italy wants the solo, they're going to have to work for it.  Only one retreat, Germany A Warsaw can move to Prussia, so ordered. If you want to retreat OTB, let me know. You  won't get a build, however, with no home centers currently open.  Deadline for adjustments is January 5th.  France:  4  (0)

Ok folks, my oversight, per the DC house rules France is actually allowed a retreat. (I believe I'll be closing this loophole in my own house rules for future games...) Anywho, MAO retreats to NAO, updated map attached.     From: John Smith

A communications blackout in the office of the President is costly for French troops, and Turkey seems to have voluntarily pledged fealty to their Russian masters. It will be interesting to see what the fall brings... No retreats, so moving right along. Deadline for Fall (once again factoring in the holidays for those of you who insist on celebrating these things) is January 3rd.  France
