DC209 W97 (01) ON TO FRIDAY - SPRING - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
10/3/09 next. Malyasia kept ret but China did disb/rebuild. You see build below. Due to dropping another 6% of everything I have in the world today on "safe" investments i'm going to start 100 new games & charge $10 a turn to get some $$ back so be ready to play a lot Wink The sad thing is I know I could easily run 30 at a time so why not 100...
PS: I know some of the 'S's,'H's & 'M's on map can be tricky to read but be careful. Still confused on the Zam move (vs Sam) by Phillipines as those letters face diff ways. Once things are at a point where it can matter I start having to be Sgt Schultz & know nothing rather than think it out. RP file avail as you know.

Well, maybe I should learn to change the little intro before I send emails I've copied and pasted... Grr. Stupid sleep deprivation.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for putting up with my delinquency. As you can all see, I got everybody's orders just fine.

Although it a bit premature, Trout has a good point. I really enjoy GMing Viking, more so now I know where to find each location and understand all abbreviations (was always trying to find BER in northern Germany rather than in the Mediterranean), so there will definitely be a Viking game again. Perhaps also with Scorched Earth rules, but I'm open to suggestions. But first we're going to see who survive this game of Viking and who will finally rule.
Trout, thanks for playing and not giving up when things got nasty.

DC 211: Seismic Ready to Rumble - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
I have found a turkey... or rather, a turkey has stuck out his neck:

Mark Utterback: mdemagogue(at)gmail.com

In his last completed game (DC 192), Mark earned a German solo despite the presence of Mike Sims as Russia and an indubitably superior player (myself) as Italy. I can see from his player profile that Mark is now on a campaign to replace abandoned positions.

My point is: Mark is a good guy. Do yourselves the favor of throwing your former battle plans out the window and starting fresh with a fresh player. Replacement players deserve our thanks and a legitimate opportunity to thrive in the game... before we stab them and toss their bodies off the bridge. Lecture over.

Updated Slate of Players:

Austria - Mike Hoffman, mrh(at)panix.com
England - Former Trout, former.trout(at)gmail.com
France - Matt Kremer, matthew.kremer(at)yale.edu
Germany - Guile Contreras, irocktilldeath(at)yahoo.com
Italy - Tirerndil, gbimmerle(at)gmail.com
Russia - Steve Lytton, stevelytton(at)hotmail.com
Turkey - Mark Utterback, mdemagogue(at)gmail.com

New Deadlines:
Prelims: Mark, get me prelims by Friday at 2:00 p.m.
- everyone else: feel free to update your prelims
S1901: I am out of town on Tuesday, so it'll have to be
Wednesday, October 8 at 1000 CST.
S1901 Seismic: Friday, October 10 at 1000 CST

Then, in F1901, we'll revert to:
Movements on Tuesdays
Retreats on Wednesdays
Seismics on Thursdsays
Adjustments on Fridays

Thank you for your patience, all!

Your GM,
Adam (AceRimmer)

Acrimony / dc206 - Fall 1902 Results - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Hello All,

ENGLAND, you have a retreat: F North Sea can retreat to Yorkshire or
Edinburgh or Norwegian Sea or Skagerrak or London. YOUR RETREAT IS DUE
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2008, but the sooner the better.

The English retreat will not impact the supply center count, so we
already know we will have some builds/disbands. For now, I will hold
off on setting a deadline... but feel free to send them whenever you are
ready. Once I have all the builds/disbands, however, I will adjudicate
them... so if you are prone to changing your mind on builds, you might
best wait until I issue a deadline and it nears. Here are the
builders/disbanders and amounts:
Austria: Build 1
Russia: Build 1
Turkey: Remove 1

Here are the fall results:

Austria:
F Aegean Sea Supports A Serbia - Bulgaria

A Munich - Tyrolia

Italy:

F Eastern Mediterranean Convoys A Apulia - Syria
F Ionian Sea Convoys A Apulia - Syria
A Tunis Hold

Russia:
F Black Sea - Ankara
A Finland - St Petersburg
A Rumania Supports A Greece - Bulgaria (*Void*)
F Sevastopol - Black Sea
F Sweden - Norway (*Fails*)
A Ukraine - Sevastopol

Turkey:

Enjoy!

=)

DC201 (Viking) - Player help: list of regions and... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
I have attached a spreadsheet with the complete list of all regions on the Viking map.
They have been listed by initial assignment, and where there was none it will indicate Unassigned SC or Non-SC, or water.
Any of the initially assigned regions is a SC; and thus can be used for Builds. Or Scorched Earth Sad
Hope this helps any player without access to RealPolitik or struggling decyphering the new map.

I blame it on the fact that Penguins don't have fingers... Only flippers.

Try plugging in an ethernet cable without opposable thumbs... Okay - plugging in is easy - but now try taking it out.. =P
