DC141 Seven Sinners - Spring 1912 - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
How do, everyone? Thanks for allowing that short delay while I got my act together on this end. England lands an army in Norway to check out some of the fjords, but other than that the North remains relatively locked up. The south, however, is the site of some interesting maneuvers as the French and Turkish fleets line up around the Tyrrhenian Sea...

No retreats are needed for Summer - we'll sail on into the Fall turn... Deadline for Fall 1912 will be set for Tuesday, August 5th (11:59 PM GMT)...

Cheers all,

Trout

Dc141 EOG Statement: Turkey - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
A quick statement

My plan for this game was simple. I just wanted to run a juggernaut across the board. I approached Russia with this idea and he was keen so we put the wheels in action and started.

Both Russia and I moved against Austria quickly and with Austria attackign Italy, Austria fell quickly.
France was moving on Italy, so my plan was to support Benjy as much as I could and when that no longer worked I would claim the remainder of the boot for myself hoping to get my fleets into position to break the med stalemate as soon as possible. Andres was losing the battle in the north, having lost StP early to england and we knew we would have to break through in germany or it would be lost. We befriended the german and get supporting him against an obvious france - england alliance. I kept contact with France and Andres kept contact with Wngland to try and convince them to break their alliance but also keep the communication flowing between him and myself.

I kept voting down the early draw proposals wanting to get all my fleets lined up along Italy becaise it looked pretty and I was hoping for a slip up from Alan. Alas Alan abandonde the TYR sea (a smart move) and because his fleet was not disbanded - he could easily force a stalemate line.

It was at this point, that Andres moved south fearing a stab (and cost himself a return to Vienna by boucing me back in!)... we quickly talked and I told Andres that I had considered the solo but felt that it was impossible as I could not get Munich and Berlin (numbers 17 and 1Cool fast enough before france-england could deny them to me. I then propose a 4 way draw which someone else voted down (My guess was England, possibly seeing if he could get russia and i to fight) and then the second one past.

Heya folks.

Peace is declared in Europe as the leaders of the big four agree to a draw. I'm happy to announce a four-way draw between England, France, Russia and Turkey. Congratulations to Steven, Andres, Alan and Robert for their success, and my thanks to all the other players who gave this game their all...

End-of-game (EOG) statements are greatly encouraged. Thanks for the great game everyone!

DC141 Seven Sinners - Fall 1913 - The Price - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Okay

first things first. Trout I am goign to propse a 4 way draw again please.

Let's talk this out.

Up until now, I've been voting down every proposal because i thought we could make ground. However France and I are now deadlocked in the med, Russia and england are deadlocked at StP.. and germany can very easily come deadlocked once i sweep my armies north and help bunker russia in.

I am not going to stab Russia. I doubt very much Andres is goign to stab me since he moved his armies away. I've discussed with Alan many times the chance of making a 3 way draw if he moves on England (BOB - i never offered you a similiar deal as I dont like plkaying people off against each other, so I chose a side France and kept working on him - to NO avail though).

I voted YES to the 4 way draw proposal. Whoever voted NO, since i doubt you were Russia - email me and we can start working something out in this game!!!!! else vote YES and end it all.

Heya gang,

The vote results are counted and it looks as though we are playing on as there was one or more 'nay' votes cast In the west, things remain fairly static. In the east, Russia backtracks from their southern war-games but cedes Rumania to the nervous Turks...

No retreats are required and the Winter adjustments are a matching build and disband for Turkey and Russia respectively. I'll be travelling over the next several days with sketchy internet access so the Winter 1913 deadline will be set for Sunday, August 24th (11:59 PM GMT).

Let me know if you spot any errors folks. Cheers!

Heya folks,

The internet pixies are not with me tonight - my apologies but I will have to send out the map and the RP files for this turn tomorrow. Ye olde dial-up connection is dragging its butt and preventing me from sending anything but text this evening.

But if you can read the results, you'll see some excitement happening in the east... Russia looks south, and while not everything goes to plan it appears as though something has shaken loose.

No retreats are required from the Spring moves. Deadline for Fall 1913 orders will be set for Wednesday, August 20th (11:59 PM GMT).

Cheers!

Turkey builds in Smyrna, Russia disbands in Warsaw. That's the scoop for the Winter turn. Also in the news, the three-way draw proposal goes down in flames sending our collective diplomats scurrying back to their drawing boards.

We battle on. Spring 1913 order deadline will be set for Thursday, August 14th (11:59 PM GMT). Cheers!

DC141 Seven Sinners - Fall 1912 - Reading The Entr... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
And the Sins of Fall 1912 come due...

Had a spot of trouble with the dial-up last night and thus the day-late adjudication. (How did we ever get by before broadband, eh?) There's a slight bit of confusion in the north as England orders a non-existant unit in Sweden. Meanwhile, in the south, Turkey sweeps into the Tyrrhenian Sea and conveniently claims Vienna as the Sultans own.

Meanwhile, the diplomats have been hitting the tables and have come up with a Turkish/English/Russian draw for your consideration. France would be credited with a survival. Please consider whether you would like the game to end in this way, and vote yay or nay. A lack of a vote will count as a 'no'.

Deadline for Winter 1912 adjustments and the T/E/R draw proposal will be set for Friday, August 8th (11:59 PM GMT).

Just let me know if you spot any errors. Cheers!

Apologies for the couple days delay getting the Winter out. The fault lay entirely on this end - was travelling to a large family get-together and anticipated being able to find some time to get my adjudications out... Unfortunately, it did not turn out that way.

In any event, here are the Winter builds. The draw proposal is shouted down and we carry onwards into Spring 1906. Deadline will be set for Saturday, Apr 19th (11:59 PM GMT).

Both Austria and Turkey retreat to Tuscany - resulting, of course, in both units disbanding. With that nasty bit of business over, we move onto Winter. Deadline for adjustments will be set for Saturday, Apr 12th (11:59 PM GMT).

Once again, a big shout-out to Max for stepping in and helping us keep the game moving. Cheers everyone!

DC141 - Fall 05 - At Last, At Last... - test_gm   (Sep 13, 2007, 12:00 am)
Heya folks,

It's everything you thought it would be... Russia props up the German state, France exacts a little payback on Turkey in the Ionian and the Sultan rids the map of those pesky Red armies... Austria may have a last laugh though, as the army in Venice and the Turkish fleet in Tyrrhenian both only have the same retreat option...

Deadline for Early Winter 1905 retreats will be set for Thursday, Apr 10th (11:59 PM GMT). Please just let me know if you spot any errors in the adjudication.

Cheers!

Subject: DC141 - Replacement GM The Second Coming...

Folks of DC141,

Alex has asked me to temporarily step in as GM of the game once again while he gets his internet and technical capabilities back on track. My apologies to all of you, but it looks as though you're stuck with me for just a little bit longer.. =P

The last few turns have been a little turbulent, I know.. Hope you are all hanging in there however. Unfortunately, I cannot publish the Fall turn at the moment as I'm missing orders from Italy, France and Russia. I'm going to reset the Fall turn deadline to Tuesday, Apr 6th (11:59 PM GMT). However, in this instance I'll adjudicate earlier if I receive FINAL acknowledgements from all players...

One other note - there was some minor confusion as Alex published a Spring adjudication following mine in which a minor difference in the French orders was seen. Please go with my original adjudication - Alan had sent in an order revision that Alex did not receive. Specifically - the French fleet is in the West Med, NOT in North Africa.

Thanks for your patience and perseverance everyone. =P
