Openness: As a sculptor views an uncarved slab of marble with an open-mind, so does a new player view a game of Diplomacy. The history of the game unwritten, the paths it will take and the shape of the results lie in the future, to be known only after the contest is completed.

I will be away this afternoon, so this reminder is a bit earlier than usual. The summer 1908 retreat deadline is tomorrow 5/13 at 3pm Central (US), and I have not yet received the French retreat. Kyle, please be sure to send it in, since with more than one valid destination, I can't automatically order the retreat for you. Thanks!

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
