It's similiar to the 'wormhole' variant? where a piece can enter a wormhole and move without interference
eg
spring 1908
f london enters wormhole
(hidden moves are london- english channel - mao - por, exit wormhole
so it moves fall 08 (english channel), spring 09 (mao)
Fall 09
f wormhole - portugal
There's also rules about if the place is not empty etc....
I think this version could work well... did you need 18 SC on one board to win? or 36 between both?

Ok, here is about the craziest thing I’ve come up w regarding new variants…
We’ve all heard of Double Diplomacy where you play 2 boards, a country on each board, can put units on either.
And we’ve all heard the Schroedingers Cat theories… (or at least the physics majors have)… Where something can both exist and not exist, until such time as you look and see.
Well I’m thinking of a variant for 7 players played on 2 boards… where the units phase into and out of one board onto the other, if the space they’d transpose onto is vacant. They would do this at set intervals, possibly following some sort of wave moving across the board
Like for example… at the end of every spring… units that are on one board may phase out, and then into the other board in the same position… only units that could move there, ie there wasn’t a unit there on the other board. Then maybe in fall, the same thing happens to the other board. Then centers are captured based on this.
The key to winning it would be to best grasp how and when units would phase out of one board, and onto the other to create numerical advantages or capture centers.
Or, maybe make the transpose an order instead of an automatic thing.
It could also be called Parallel Universe or something like that.
Thoughts?
