*Germans lose belgium, but gain north sea!*
*Austrian colonists abandon homeland, seek refuge in Apulia*
*Having met the turks, the English head towards home*

Hey all,

Looks like Brian may have thrown in the towel on this one, as Russia NMR's again. On a technical point, NMR's in the blitz only count on major turns (spring/fall), and you can only amass four NMR's in one blitz game, so if you happen to notice discrepencies between the number of "NMR's" that actually happened and the number recorded on the site, that should account for the differences. In a normal game, of course, we would seek a replacement, but the Blitz has a no replacement rule. So we press on with what we have.

In other news, lots of bounces as tension heats up across the globe. In fact, every power had roughly half their moves bounce, except Turkey who managed to succeed in every move this season (though granted, almost all of those moves were within his territory). And we are left with two retreats. England can retreat f Nth to Lon, Yor, Edi, or Hel (or OTB). Russia can retreat to Bud or Ukr (or OTB). Of course, if Russia has really abandoned us, the unit will retreat off the board.

I think that's all the news for today. Retreats are due tomorrow at 8:00 AM CST (2:00 PM GMT).

John
