Hallo zusammen!
How naive were those who believed the Great War would be the "War to end all Wars". The untenable und unjust Paris Peace Settlement that followed that conflagration had only a short expiry date. Rumours of war abound in all European capitals. Military manoeuvres on neighbours' borders bode ill for the future. Indeed, on the Polish-Soviet border such a military exercise somehow ended with Polish troops occupying the fertile plains of the Ukraine.
Since a number of players in excess of those participating in this game showed an interest in playing 1926, I'm going to run a second 1926 game. It will be interesting to see how the respective powers fare in these two seoarate conflicts. Anyway, I added those who are going to play in that second game as observers to this one. It should be instructive to see how this one plays out.
Since there are no pending retreats, we move on to the fall season. Preliminary orders are due no later than 1 December 6 PM CET.
Euch ein schönes "Thanksgiving"!
Charles

From France:
Dateline: Paris. News of the peace accords at Locarno has sent the French wandering over the hills and valleys of their country (and colonies too) seeking after new areas to include within the web of security arrangements discussed just weeks before. News has it that French high command is less than pleased that the Swiss have remained aloof from international affairs, but no one knows what may come of it.
