PREV  Spring 1 Adjudication:  NEXT

Diplomats,

There is nothing in the world of gaming quite so sweet as the first turn adjudication in Diplomacy. All of the time waiting and wondering about what will happen is replaced with the only truth there is in this diabolical game: the state of the board.

The action this turn took a decidedly eastern tilt. Everyone save Rome seems to be heading east, suggesting that the fair homelands of Egypt and Persia may prove our initial battlegrounds. Of course, only the principals know what is happening diplomatically, behind-the-scenes...

There are no retreats as we move on to the fall! Please note I have set up an alias for this game at: dc371@knemeyer.com. Sending to this address will send your note to me, all players including yourself, and the DC forum for this game. Thus please use this instead of just sending to the DC forum. Thanks.

Persian Press:

The growing population of Persia has led us to seek new lands to supply our people. Fertile plains lie to the North and the South, with few to challenge our vanguard. So far all neighbours appear friendly and welcoming, which bodes well for our future. It has not yet proved necessary to resort to force, and we long that this may continue.

Our sailors, unused to deep-sea voyages, are reluctant to venture away from the coast. We hear that there are islands which await cultivation, and will need to develop the skills to explore. But not yet.
