Dc 159 Fall 1901
The news is at hand. The world has flooded. Africa was the last to sink plummeting to the depths late last night and no contact can be established with the Americas. Only Russia knows if there is any dry land east of them in the rest of Asia and yet they are silent on the issue. Huge Tidal waves have swept through the atlantic resulting in the flooding of London, Belgium and Holland. There are also reports that central france has become to subside and that there is now fleet access to Moscow. Venice is completely underwater. New colonies have 'begun' to be established in Wales (by English troops), Ruhr (by German Troops) and Tyrloia (By Austrian Troops) and these will be under direct control of these nations AT the end of Winter 1901.
*****************************
First thing to note, my fellow current survivors, My base can be found high in the mountains of switzerland. The player to have their representatives there in 1908 will be granting the title of sole survivor and will win a million dollars as presented by Jeff Probst. Next the map I am about to share with you, about the lay out of the land has different colours to what you expect. It is do to with the new programme I am using to create the deluge map (slightly beyond Realpolitik's reach)
England is now represetented by Red
France is now Dark Blue
Germany is Grey
Russia is Brown
Italy is Orange
Austria is White.
Turkey is Green.
All units and SC have the flag of the country on them. A SC with a yellow star on it is neutral.
Some of the place names also get obscured when I place a unit there, so hopefully we'll all muddle through this together.
**********************************
So Italy trial two of the rules specific for this variant. Not only to Italy save its unit in venice by transforming it to a fleet, he also created an "army-fleet" to take Greece. the Turkish attack on the Ionion would have cut the fleets support though, but it was a good start at using "army - fleet"s. Do not under estimate the power of those units, in fact I suggest that re-reading the examples i gave you on them would be a good thing.
Last note: Iceland is now a legal space that can be occupied by a unit.
