Fall 2004
Dear Diary,
After exploring the area to the north-west of my base camp, I've noticed a cave further to the south-west. I will spend some time to see if I can enter it and secure it. It might bring me some more leeway in exploring this island. The island itself seems pretty wild - no other signs of habitation or civilization. If I'm able to find any recruits, I will have them wear an orange armband, so that we will know each other. Wish me luck in my explorations of the cave. Until next time,
/Thomas, Leader of the Widmore Expedition.

Map Changes: Over the next few seasons, you will see changes to the map as I improve my process and butcher the good work done by my friend. The changes you might see are :-
1. I am attempting to colour owned SCs. This is looking good in some instances and terrible in others. Pray you are one of the good ones.
2. Numbering of spaces. Since you now have 2 units, I will be numbering the space your unit is on for movement purposes. It makes no difference to what colour the number is (Iā€™m just going for visibility)
New Rules.
Rule 1 - Winning
You have now captured your first place of interest. As per normal diplomacy this will allow you to build(recruit) another unit (either an army or raft) in your orginal Sc. A Home SC must be empty to build in it. To win the game you must control over half of the places of interest on the map. When you think you do, and can prove to the GM that you control over half the places of interest on the map ā€“ you will win the game. I strongly advise keeping a list of them
Your second home SC is
Winter 2004 is due, at the latest Tuesday 14th April 7pm Australian DST. Winter builds will be considered final on receipt. I will run your winter turn when i receive your winter build.

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
