One Can Always Tell the Value of a Game Based on How Many Times Prelims Get Changed!

A 4-Build First Year? Es La Verdad Mis Amigos

Oh Don't Fret Friends - Others DID Get Builds

The Good News - Everybody Builds

The Bad News (for some) - The Odds-On Faves Got the Most Builds

Russia and Poland Start the Game Off Right by Trading HC's

Well folks. Sorry for the delay. Had some last minute things come up last night that kept me from getting this done then and today has been a nightmare at work. Mostly my mourning period associated with the passing of my Wizard Kingdom in Haven.

We have no retreats needed this year. So we get to move directly to Winter.

Here is the accounting of the centers:

Denmark: 5 SC's; Build 1

England: 4 SC's; Build 1

France: 6 SC's; Build 2

Habsburg Empire: 6 SC's; Build 3

Ottoman Empire: 6 SC's; Build 2

Poland: 4 SC's; Build 1

Russia: 5 SC's; Build 2

Spain: 8 SC's; Build 4

Sweden: 5 SC's; Build 1

Let's get those builds in by Monday the 6th at 4p CST. Thanks.

Oh...and wait. As advertised - poetry and press!

Garry the Magical

PRESS:

Look at Spain! So rich so fat! With 8 nice centers, look at that!

Habsburgs too; they gain a few!

Lots and lots of others staring at +2.

But what of innocent, sweet England? Will there be 2 for him?

And what of bottled-up Denmark: will evil Spain let him in?

Or Russia, sweet Russia, will Poland drag his carcass down?

The parades in Spain will dwarf the rest.

And Habsburgs will be cheering, too.

But what of me, and what of you?

What will OUR fine nations deign to do?

Gutenburg Press (was that even invented in 1601?):

In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Garry the Magical aka Garry the Greek has decided to retire from GMing DCI games and create a game based on betting on the outcome of games. He has chosen to call it Bourse after his first familiar, a House Elf who stabbed him in the back when he thought he had a chance to join the forces of evil to rule Haven. Alas Garry had cast a Shaun of the Dead spell that allowed him to cheat death and live on. Ah but why the name you ask? Because Garry figured out that he knew something everyone else did not – the Elf had nary a chance of ruling side-by-side with the Dark Knight but was willing to bet it all to try.

Note by GM – if that isn’t meta-gaming then what is? All good-natured of course.
