PREV  Fall 1901 Adjudication:  NEXT

Greetings, Friends.

Can't tell how this game will end, but it certainly is starting off with a bang in 1901. The patrons aren't even all seated and we've already got blood in the arena.

Star of the show early on is our bold Kaiser Hugh. Forgoing the typical German land grab in 1901, the Kaiser has chosen instead to play for position and alliances. Together with his buddies in France and Russia, the German leader has made this a miserable opening year for both England and Austria.

Meanwhile Turkey and Italy mind their own business, snapping up Tunis, Greece and Bulgaria. What will be their inclinations in 1902? Pile on or prop up? Doesn't look like there's going to be much time available for waffling in this one.

RETREATS: English F North Sea can retreat to Edinburgh or Skagerrak or Helgoland Bight or Belgium or London or OTB.

ADJUSTMENTS (from biggest to smallest):

Russia +3
France +2
Turkey +2
Germany +1
Italy +1
England Even (or +1, if retreat is to Belgium)
Austria -1

See below for complete ownership and adjustment tables.

NEXT DEADLINE: English retreat and ALL builds/removals are due tomorrow, Friday the 13th, by 18:00 Eastern time.

Cheers,
Chris
