DIPLOMATICCORP DC210 - GREAT BALLS OF FIRE
1958 ORIGINAL GAME, 1958 ORIGINAL MAP, 3-SEASON GAME YEAR
ADJUDICATION WINTER 1914 (TURN 3)
SUNDAY 12th OCTOBER 2008

PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF THIS ADJUDICATION

GM Comment:

The first adjustment season saw no mistakes in ordering. The hexagonal multiple unit symbol appears again where more than one unit has been built in a centre or where a unit has been built in a centre where there was already a unit. The actual units denoted by the hexagon are shown in the sidebars.

I think some of you are now starting to perceive the strengths and weaknesses of the various countries, particularly in respect of their build limitations. Having the rules regarding fleets only being built in naval bases and armies only being built in current capitals really adds a different flavour to the game.

Remember to also submit any potential retreat orders with your usual orders for the next turn.

Preliminary orders are highly recommended.

Please put the game number 'DC210', season, year and country in the subject line of any orders.

The GM House Rules, instructions for 3-season Diplomacy and the 1958 Original Diplomacy Rules on the DC210 game page at http://sforza.50webs.com/PS%20GM%20HR%20Original%201958%203-S.doc

These results will also be posted to the DiplomaticCorp DC210 game page http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/game_page.php?game_id=dc210 and DC210 message board.

The Rules of the Game of Diplomacy (2008 5th Edition) can be found at http://wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/diplomacy_rulebook.pdf and www.diplomaticcorp.com/pdf/diplomacy_rulebook.pdf

Note that, if it's not happened already, some local times change in respect of UTC/GMT around this time of year. As this is a local time issue then it is up to the players to ascertain the difference between their own local time and GMT/UTC.

The current UTC/GMT time can be found at: http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx

The Diplomaticcorp site player page also shows UTC based on your computer clock - if you are logged in.

Maps:

There is one map (gif) for this turn:

DC210Wi14f: showing adjustments.

A complete map history for the game (in the form of a slideshow) can be found at http://www.diplomaticcorp.com/slideshow.php?game_id=dc210

When my new disc arrives I'm going to reistate the multiple maps per move slideshow on my own GM site until such time as this capability is available on the Diplomaticcorp site.

Cheers,

Paolo.

Diplomacy games may contain lying, stabbing, or deliberately deceiving communications that may not be suitable for and may pose a hazard to young children, gullible adults, and small farm animals.
