No disband from Nicolas, so France disbands fleet in MAO according to house rules. Also, I'm putting in a call for a replacement for Nicolas. His position is not good and it will only get worse, so finding a replacement will be hard. I have a special way of searching for replacements. I do NOT stop the game. It kills the energy and the momentum, and often ruins the rest of the game. Also, in real life, governments can topple during war, leaving the nation without a leader. The war doesn't stop, and sometimes the anarchy consumes the nation until it is taken over, and sometimes a new leader rises from the chaos. I like to imitate this process.

That said, when a new player is found, I will usually extend the deadline at least a little. Give the new player some time to talk to everyone...
