PREV  Winter 1649 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi guys,

now our first year draws to a close. I'd say it was marked by little in the way of overt great power confrontation and thus helped all powers achieve at least some growth. Those additional resources have now been employed partially in ways that may offer clues as to what's in store for us in 1650...

Note that I mislabeled the past adjucation as "Fall 1648 Moves" when these were of course the "Fall 1649 Moves".

In the deadlines department, I'm setting the Spring 1650 deadline for Friday, 23 May at 8 AM! Considering my travelling schedule, 8 AM looks more feasible for me than an evening deadline.
I hope my moving around of deadlines works for you. If not, let me know!

On coming Sunday I hope to be in a port and be able to access the net. But can't guarantee there not being a delay on my part. In any event, I trust any possible summer retreats won't be so critical in nature as to get in the way of fall-related negotiations.

I encourage you to submit conditional retreat orders for those units which might get dislodged. I will adjucate summers/winters as soon as I have a full set of orders without any player instructions to wait until the deadline has expired. This should also help me with my travelling constraints.

Note that while my internet access is more limited, I won't be cajoling you nearly as much to submit orders in advance and on time. I'm hoping you yourselves get in the habit of submitting prelims as early as possible. Never hurts, always helps!

I also need a mapmaking volunteer, in case I'm unable to provide the maps myself and be limited to doing a bare-bones adjucation. It's quite easy to do. Enter the orders into Realpolitik, save the image and ideally then convert the bmp output into a leaner jpg-format before mailing it out to players/observers. Anyone willing to help out here?

I'm awfully curious where things will stand by the close of 1650. Viel Glueck, everyone!

Charles
