PREV  Spring 1571 Adjudication:  NEXT

Oda Nobunaga was the first of the three great unifiers of Japan, and his campaign was filled with miraculous victories from his victory at Okehazama until his death at Honno-ji temple. Nobunaga was the first and only daimyo of the Sengoku-jidai to seize control of the capital in Kyoto.

Not so here - our Oda player has NMRed unfortunately, and it is Asakura that has seized control of the capital in Kyoto (Yamashiro province). This NMR has had wide ranging effects across the map, not the least of which is the successful Takeda recapture of Kai.

Joe - please make contact as soon as possible to confirm that you are still with us and playing the game. A second NMR will result in replacement unfortunately, and I certainly would be very sad to see that come to pass.

TEAHOUSE COMMENTARY, by Sen Rikyu: The minor powers are weak by themselves, but powerful when banded together, as the Tsutsui and Suzuki clans of Yamato and Kii provinces show their strength this season. Uesugi's capture of Kozuke ensures his dominance of the whole Kanto region. Chosokabe has emerged from his home island of Shikoku, and strikes both north and south with great wrath. Mori appears poised to seize Kyushu in whole from the Shimazu. And though Oda rests this spring season, his forces have many opportunities for the fall - when ambition yields spoils to the victor...

PLAYERS:

Shimazu Yoshihisa - Isaac Zinner
Mori Motonari - Jim Atkins
Chosokabe Motochika - Jean-Luc Lefebvre
Asakura Yoshikage - Garry Bledsoe
Oda Nobunaga - Joe Babinsack
Takeda Shingen - Nathan Deily
Uesugi Kenshin - Fredrik Blom
Hojo Ujiyasu - Michael Thompson

No poets this time
So the GM wrote this one
very pathetic

***NEXT DEADLINE - no retreats required (Hojo A Kai is destroyed without retreats available) so we proceed straight to the fall, which is due Tuesday, April 13, 2010, 1700 EST.

***NOTES: PLEASE pay close attention to the rules of the variant. I am still receiving DP points allocations for neutral units to move - not allowed. They may only support, or hold. Also, please check spelling of orders and adjacencies. I am receiving invalid DP allocations and orders as well - and when using abbreviations, many such misspellings *do* lead to ambiguous orders, which cannot be adjudicated. Fortunately, I do not believe any of these events truly affected the outcome of any moves this season, but I wanted to send out a reminder anyway - the first game year is over - so orders will be adjudicated as written! Be sure to ask questions in advance if you have any!
