PREV  Spring 1902 Adjudication:  NEXT

The battle lines already appear to be forming, even at this early stage of the game. England's foothold on the continent proves short-lived in the face of unified French/German action. Russia receives support from England to sail into Sweden. Austria faces hostile moves on both its eastern and western fronts, but survives unscathed for the time being.

Only one unit is dislodged, but the English army in Belgium has no retreat available and is destroyed. Therefore, we move directly to fall 1902, for which orders will be due Friday 4/9 at 3pm Central (US) / 21:00 GMT. If all goes well, we can return to the normal Blitz schedule next week. Thanks, everyone!

Europa Times:

Confusion as to the source of black clouds smearing the eastern horizon was somewhat cleared up when sources in Scandinavia, Poland and the Ukraine all spotted a somewhat singed Czar in each of these locations. No one was able to explain these multiple sightings of the Czar almost simulaneously, but his task was clear, as he rather vainly attempted to put out brushfires in all these areas. When questioned about his lack of success, the Czar replied somewhat fatalistically that with few friends to help it was probably an impossible task. Asked as to the whereabouts of his own countrymen to assist him, the leader shrugged and mumbled something about Russian pessimism being a self-fullfilling prophesy. Further questioning ended abruptly as he snapped at his questioners to leave him alone and returned to his daunting task. He was last seen walking into a growing line of fire, as the reporters fled for their safety.
