PREV  Spring 1937 Adjudication:  NEXT

Hi guys,

I am glad we're now back on track. And with quite an eventful turn!

For starters, some might think hell has frozen over. For Franco's Nationalists have supported the Republican army into Portugal! I suppose the two camps have formed some sort of "government of national unity". Incidentally, I purposefully did not add a rule clause preventing such cooperation. In my estimation it will be quite a rare event and - if it comes to pass - presents a perfectly plausible scenario. So I felt it inappropriate to curtail the players' freedom with a heavy-handed rule.

Further North, the previously moribund French Republic has set her forces in motion and invaded the Rhineland in a replay of the French occupation of the Ruhrgebiet in 1923. Quo vadis, Monsieur-le-Président...?

Much as France has moved eastwards, so have - for the most part - Germany, Italy and Turkey. And the lesser powers have suffered from some bloodletting as six armies in the field of theirs were comprehensively beaten. Quite a change of pace compared to Spring '36. A year ago merely two minor powers had to bite the dust.

We have some player press again, always something we GMs are grateful for!

Since there are no pending retreats, we directly move on to Fall 1937. Prelims on Monday 6 PM CET, please.

Happy dipping,

Charles
