PREV  Fall 1601 Adjudication:  NEXT

Poland is the Beneficiary of Eastern Clarity, But Not in a Good Way
Ottoman Balkan Plans Meet Austrian Resistant
Western Confusion Appears - France Under Siege but So is Spain
Denmark Continues Measured Expansion but Now has Neighbors
England Has Lots of Advocates for Dutch Ownership

All,
An interesting turn as things clarify - sort of. We have a litany of retreats needed so we will address those first:

Ottoman A Ser can retreat to Con, Bul, Ill or OTB
Spanish A Fla can retreat to Nrm or OTB
French F BOB can retreat to Bri
Pole A War can retreat to Gpo, Lpo or OTB
Pole A Vor can retreat to Ura or OTB

Let's get those by Fri morn at 9a CST (the 24th).

That will take us to Winter 01 which will be due on Monday the 27th at 4p CST. Feel free to submit those early if you wish.

We have press as well. And I feel that it is time to re-visit our odds given board positioning.

Please DOUBLE-CHECK that I got your orders right. Lots of moving parts!

Garry the Greek

Odds Update
Adam (7:1) - a bit of a stifling opening but it is Adam and he has proven that patience is a virtue in DCI

Mike S. (3:2) - still in a good position in spite of a Dutch revolt; a seeming Catholic alliance helps keep him the odds leader

Dave (100:1) - well, you are saying that there is a chance...

Jerome (10:1) - stock is improving after what appears to be solid northern allies

Ross (8:1) - see Jerome. Add to that a measured growth and defensible cluster of SC's and things are looking up

Mike H. (10:1) - no poor Dune reference can help you now Emperor...the spice WILL flow!

Dirk (2:1) - how can such a good player fly so under the radar? See Ross but add an aggressive approach toward SC's

Sun (9:1) - call this the classic stock market investor "hold" play; too early to buy or sell

Matt (6:1) - unfortunately Ramirez is still training Conor and it appears that the Curgan may be arriving. 6:1 may be generous but there is still enough confusion about what happens when our reigning WB champion goes quietly into the night to keep Matt as a sleeper...by the way, if you could decipher the first part of that then you are a bigger geek than I am.
ANONYMOUS PRESS
When we look all around, what do we see?
Three different colors in the Mediterranean Sea!
Will I support you? Will you support me?
France and Spain declare, "We shall both support thee!"
The Danes happy dance in the north,
The Ottomans lick their chops in the sorth.
The Habs spread their fingers in the middle,
The crumbling Poles are simply left but to fiddle.
Who is the winner, who will it be?
One of the favorites, the early favorites: you'll see!
