PREV  Spring 1903 Adjudication:  NEXT

Early this morning, Lotfizadeh got orders in. They allow him to (temporarily) protect Constantinople but lose control of Ankara. Plus, he forgets he has an army in Berlin, which is okay, as it stays put.

Glancing over the adjudications much as one might glance over the sports page, two results stand out. The first is in Russia, where Bushwood ignores FourGotten support for Ukraine-Sevastopol, instead choosing Rumania-Sevastopol (which proves just as successful). Bushwood also supports himself into Warsaw. One gets the feeling that FourGotten has been bushwhacked. Or perhaps that this is an application of the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive war. But is Bushwood pre-empting FourGotten? Or *Rhovanion* (after all, War and Sev are Rhovanion provinces).

The other region of interest -- and it's an entire region -- is the open waters of the North and West. Paz Eterna drives the Lemurs out of the Mid-Atlantic; Rosstopia drives Mos Eisley out of the North Sea; FourGotten pushes into the Norwegian Sea... and yet things aren't so bad for the losers... Lemuria gains the chance to 'retreat forward' into English waters, while Mos Eisley gains the opportunity to retreat into vacated Norway or fall back to Edinburgh (or, gulp, to risk a bounce in the English Channel). The regions is a bit of a mess. Cassandra peers into her crystal ball and divines, "This might be a propitious time to swap allies."

Retreats are due tomorrow at the usual time.

The Lemurian fleet in Mid-Atlantic Ocean may retreat to English Channel, Irish Sea, North Atlantic Ocean, North Africa, or off the board.

The Mos Eisleyan fleet in North Sea may retreat to Edinburgh, English Channel, Helgoland Bight, Norway, or off the board.

The Zadonian army in Ankara auto-retreats to Smyrna.
