PREV  Fall 1903 Adjudication:  NEXT

Few cities in the world have retained their significance throughout
the centuries as Istanbul has, stretching all the way back to the
Classical Ages as a major center of commerce and culture. Despite the
decline of the Ottoman Empire, Istanbul was still one of the most
populous and influential cities in the world. Apparently, it is no
less desirable in our game, as four different players are fighting or
supporting actions in the region of Istanbul this season, culminating
in the the fall of the city to Bulgarian invaders. The Turks will not
be denied their vengeance however, as Salonika was captured by the
Fleet in the Sea of Marmara. The Greek invasion of Italy advances in
the south, while the Austrian front is slowed somewhat by the
destruction of A Bologna. Allen may be glad to see it go however, as
the Romanian invasion of his eastern borders has begun. Austria
manages to block one Romanian attack, but not the second - and has a
retreat pending for A Sarajevo. Speaking of Serbia, a bit of
confusion with the Greeks it seems - who do not vacate Bitola,
supported or otherwise.

RETREATS REQUIRED: A Sarajevo can retreat to Spalato or OTB.

NEXT DEADLINE (AUTUMN RETREATS) - MONDAY, 1 MARCH 2010, 1700 EST.

FOLLOWING DEADLINE (WINTER ADJUSTMENTS) - THURSDAY, 4 MARCH 2010, 1700 EST.
