Fall 1651 sees our first elimination, as England is left without a supply center. I do thank Alex for playing out a rather desperate position. Even if he could not help England survive, I am sure the game benefited from his participation. Elsewhere Polish forces really dominate against Russia this fall, and at least for now Poland is very much winning that war and besides England Russia seems the biggest loser this year. The war between France and Spain really heats up as France invades Iberia and claims Flanders, while the war between Spain and The Ottoman Empire, which began the first spring when Turkey sailed into the Ionian, appears to have cooled down considerably. Meanwhile Austria further establishes itself as the dominant power in The Holy Roman Empire, and by moving into Croatia and Hungary seems to be preparing for the next phase of expansion. I am very curious to see how this Austrian move south will affect Austro-Polish as well as Polish-Turkish relations. Also we are beginning to see our second wave of separation amongst powers. Early on while England and Sweden suffered, the seven remaining powers all grew at relatively similar rates. But with Russia and Turkey suffering setbacks, they fall off the pace, leaving five powers, Austria, Denmark, France, Poland, and Spain in the lead group.
Retreats/Adjustments will be due at their normal time on Thursday. I'll need retreats from Aidan and Daniel Dzikowicz. I'll need adjustments from everyone. Those possibilities are:
Russian A Crimea can retreat to Severia or OTB
French F Scotland can retreat to North Atlantic Ocean or Norwegian Sea or OTB
Austria: Builds 2 units. (Can build in Bavaria, Lower Saxony, Swabia, Trieste)
Denmark-Norway: Builds 2 units. (Can build in Christiania, Copenhagen)
England: Disbands 1 unit. (Will be eliminated)
France: Builds 1 unit. Builds 2 units if F Scotland retreats OTB (Can build in Brest, Lorraine, Marseilles, Paris)
