All,
What an exciting turn! We had a lot of action as things heat up. Midgame shifting appears to have begun!

We DID have two retreats -
Italian A Ven - I auto-retreated to Rom; Paul CAN change this to either Apu, Pie or Tus with Winter adjustments
Turkish F Gre - I auto-retreated to Alb - this is the only alternative other than OTB

IF your Winter builds are affected by the Italian retreat, PLEASE send conditional builds. If you aren't sure what I mean, please let me know.

With that, we have Winter adjustments:

Austria no change
England remove 1
France build 2
Germany build 2
Italy no change
Russia remove 3
Turkey build 2

Let's have Winter adjustments due Sept 18th at 12p CT.

Garry

PRESS

The dapper-looking man, in an immaculate grey suit paused in the entrance hall of the German foreign ministry in Berlin. Adjusting the angle of his fine, waxed moustache in the mirror, he turned and strode boldly into the reception room occupied by the imposing figure of General Von Liegender Unhold. Although the bonds of friendship between France and Germany were strong and forged in blood, these encounters always made him nervous as Unhold was well known for his violent outbursts. For this meeting, the General was seated on an ornate chair in the centre of the room, with his feet resting on the back of a young corporal, whose head was heavily bandaged.

‘Ah! Monsieur Fromager Puant ! Welcome! It is always a pleasure to welcome the French ambassador!’.
‘General, I understand that you are in need of French military assistance. Is this a plan to capture London? To secure the North Sea? Or perhaps the start of a campaign to annex Italian territories?’
‘No, no, no. My dear Fromager. This is a much more challenging endeavour. Germany needs to acquire a British secret of the utmost importance, and you can help me get it. Young Otto, here will explain…’

Many hours later, an incredulous Fromager, made his way back to the French Embassy, barely able to believe what Otto Schmidt had told him. War would come to Europe. Millions would die. All because a fat German general had a craving for fish and chips! But, with German forces mustering in Munich and packed into the Low Countries, what could he do? Back in his office he called French High Command, and within the day, great forces began to move.
